Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Asia
Dear reader/writer of this WikiProject Deletion sorting/Asia. The present page was above the template_include_limit. As a result, the bottom of the page was not displayed correctly. At Category:Pages where post-expand include size is exceeded, we tried to fix the problem, in order to empty this category (see the related talk page). The original page can be seen in the page history (although it will not display correctly). In any case, feel free to revert if you have a better solution to fix the page overflow problem. |

This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Asia. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Asia|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Asia. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

[edit]- Eastern world (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
The article Eastern world lacks substantive standalone content and functions primarily as a vague conceptual overview rather than a clear, encyclopedic entry. Its entire premise centers on the assertion that "Eastern world" is an imprecise, shifting term with no consistent, coherent definition or shared identity. This limited scope makes the article redundant to the more comprehensive and analytically grounded article East–West dichotomy.
Specifically:
- Redundancy in Scope
The main theme of the article is that "Eastern world" is an arbitrary and constructed label, often defined externally (especially through the lens of Orientalism and colonial-era discourse). This point is already treated in depth in East–West dichotomy, which provides a better historical, cultural, and geopolitical framing of the East-West concept. Maintaining both articles fragments the discussion and duplicates content.
- Lack of Independent Definition
The article acknowledges that the "Eastern world" lacks a singular cultural, historical, or political identity. It doesn't offer a distinct set of characteristics, events, or structures that justify a separate encyclopedic entry. Instead, it serves as a footnote or sub-topic to the broader, more rigorous discussion of how the "East" has been constructed in contrast to the "West."
- Orientation by Negation
Rather than defining what the "Eastern world" is, the article focuses on what it is not — namely, that it lacks clarity, coherence, and a universally agreed-upon definition. This undermines its value as a standalone encyclopedic topic and confirms that the concept is better treated within a broader analytical framework.
- Better Treatment Elsewhere
Concepts like Orientalism, the Global South, regional classifications (East Asia, South Asia, etc.), and postcolonial studies already cover the cultural and geopolitical identities discussed here. The current article adds little that is not already better explored in these other contexts. Hassan697 (talk) 16:49, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

Unnecessary duplication of 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualification and 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup. Article titles of this format, i.e. World Cup qualification (confederation), are generally for stand-alone tournaments, such as those hosted by CONMEBOL, OFC, and UEFA this cycle. AFC has indicated they will hold a stand-alone tournament for the 2031 FIFA Women's World Cup. — Jkudlick ⚓ (talk) 21:07, 8 July 2025 (UTC)

- I can try, but it is proving difficult. It clearly isn't a WP:HOAX, so ideally we find a way to save the page if we can. The only language I speak fluently is English, which is limiting, and the word Uruzgani is also sometimes used to refer to anyone from Uruzgan. Not all Hazara groups in Uruzgan are Uruzgani Hazara, so it really complicates searching. Hopefully we can save the page, but if more sources can't be found, then we might have to delete the page even though it contains good information, because it isn't backed up by more than one RS. - Keep - I'm slightly confused why you say the article doesn't cite any sources. It does lack inline, but for that throwing Template:No footnotes on it for a bit might be the better course of action. Unless someone can access the sources it does list and has evidence that they are unreliable, I see no reason to assume they are. Still, I can understand some suspicion about it, and would love to hear from @Фанис Шарбеков: about where they got their sources. - Ike Lek (talk) 06:42, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
- You're making a WP:THEREMUSTBESOURCES argument, If you think there are sources which provides WP:NOTABILITY to the subject then find and cite them here.
I'm slightly confused why you say the article doesn't cite any sources.
– I said it cause there is literally no citation present in the article, I don't see any reason to be confused here. I have already checked Karategin Uzbeks#Sources, The section only mentions names of some sources, However there no mention of any ethnic group called Karategin Uzbeks. Koshuri (グ) 13:49, 1 July 2025 (UTC)- I'm not saying there are for sure sources, I'm saying there are listed sources in the article, even if they aren't properly cited. I would want to hear about them before I decided they weren't legit. Ike Lek (talk) 18:30, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
- There's no mention of Karategin Uzbeks in them either. I checked them before starting the AfD. Koshuri (グ) 07:01, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- Huh, odd. There seems to be some mention of them here:
- https://jamestown.org/program/will-tajikistans-karategin-valley-again-become-a-militant-stronghold/, granted it seems to be about a different group than the one the article claims exists.
- https://ijmmu.com/index.php/ijmmu/article/view/2550 - I would love if someone could track down the sources this cites.
- https://www.researchgate.net/publication/344736287_Ethnic_Composition_Of_The_Population_Of_Uzbek_Khanates - full text is available free if you look around a bit.
- There are clearly a significant number of Uzbeks in the Kabul area; however it is unclear if they match description given for this particular ethnic subgroup. If it does turn out to be a hoax, the these commons files need to be re-evaluated:
- I can understand some suspicion; I definitely have some, but it does seem like the group is more likely than not to actually exist. Ike Lek (talk) 07:41, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- These sources only talk about other uzbek ethnicities, The first one does mentions a few lines about Uzbek settlement in Karategin however do not mention them as a ethnic group and has no WP:SIGCOV either;
February 1999 terrorist attacks in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, frightened the Uzbekistani authorities into indiscriminately arresting religious dissenters. Consequently, emigration from Uzbekistan to Tajikistan became a mass movement, with whole families fleeing and resettling in the Karategin Valley. Military camps also sprang up alongside civilian Uzbek settlements in the Karategin.
[4] Koshuri (グ) 12:25, 3 July 2025 (UTC)- The first article is not about the ethnic group, but the other two contain mentions of the Dormon Uzbeks. Ike Lek (talk) 16:27, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- Do they have WP:SIGCOV? Koshuri (グ) 18:21, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- The last one might, but definitely not on its own. I'm first just trying to verify that they exist and aren't a hoax before I invest the time to demonstrate notability. I'm not super attached to the article. I'm just trying to make sure it gets a fair defence, so we aren't erasing the existence of an ethnic group from the English internet if they are real. - Ike Lek (talk) 18:56, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- There have never been Durman (Dormon) Uzbeks in Karategin. The Durman Uzbeks traditionally lived in the Gissar Mountains, while Karategin was inhabited exclusively by Tajiks and Kyrgyz. None of the sources I consulted indicate that Uzbeks ever lived in Karategin. The picture depict Tajiks from Karategin living in Kabul, as the original source identifies them as Tajiks. You also mentioned Uzbeks in Kabul, which is true — but they are not Durman or Karategini Uzbeks. In fact, there are many different Uzbek tribes and groups in Afghanistan and Kabul, not only Durman.

- Keep – Karen Vardanyan is a notable Armenian businessman and philanthropist, widely recognized in Armenia.
- He is the CEO of the largest confectionery producer in Armenia and a prominent public figure. His contributions span across business and philanthropy. He has been covered extensively in reliable sources, including major Armenian news outlets.
- Moreover, this article exists in both Armenian and Russian Wikipedias, which further supports his regional notability. The English article has been improved and now cites multiple independent and verifiable sources, demonstrating that the subject clearly meets Wikipedia’s WP:GNG.
- Deleting the article would mean erasing the presence of a significant figure in Armenian economic and social life from the English-language encyclopedia.
- Conclusion: The article meets notability criteria and should be kept.
- Anna Manasyan (talk) 11:12, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- Keep. As noted above, sources exist in other languages including Russian and Armenian that establish notability. Some effort has already gone into adding these to the article. The formatting is bogus in several places, but that can be resolved outside of AfD.Gbp190, there is a template at {{ill}} or Template:Interlanguage link. This will add both a red link for the en-wiki article and blue link to the article in another language. When another editor gets around to creating the red-linked article, it will then automatically turn into a regular wikilink. When you add sources in the standard source editor, templates need to be closed within curly braces to work. So
<ref>{{cite web|...}}</ref>
rather than<ref>cite web|...</ref>
. You can also use the drop-down menu in the source editor's toolbard under "v Cite" and "Templates v"; this gives an easy form to fill out for the 4 most-used citation templates. Thanks for taking the time to track down sources and improve the article, Rjjiii (talk) 00:37, 20 July 2025 (UTC)

Relisting comment: "It passes NACTOR" is insufficient. Explain the roles which show that this because just stating it as true does not make it so. Additionally some items which pass AFC should get deleted. The standard at AFC iswill probably survive
AfD which means some will not. At the moment I weight this discussion as DELETE given the lack of justification for the keep votes but am relisting this a third time to give time for those advocating keep to justify their reasoning.

One SIGCOV piece is closer to a one off event respectfully despite the context, and I would like to see multiple examples of SIGCOV before I consider a withdrawal. Per WP:GNG,
Multiple sources are generally expected.
InvadingInvader (userpage, talk) 00:57, 17 July 2025 (UTC)- The second article mentions his name twice. It just only refers to him as "Samorn" one of the times. Is it short, but it isn't as insignificant as you make it out to be. First source is good. Ike Lek (talk) 02:00, 17 July 2025 (UTC)

- When posting sources to keep, it is helpful not to bludgeon the discussion with passing mentions. I'm not seeing anything here that could be considered as WP:SIGCOV. Most of the links appear to be passing mentions while the last source is a blog. Let'srun (talk) 01:04, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- Redirect to Cambodia at the 2012 Summer Olympics#Athletics. The first reference posted by Svartner appears to be SIGCOV, but that alone is not enough to pass GNG. - Delete - This is just a Gish gallop of trivial or promotional sources; there has also been a history here of using fake/SEO sources by a UDPE. I see Forbes contributor blogs, Entrepreneur contributor blogs, a VentureBeat contributor blog written by our favorite PR/SEO spammer Jon Stojan, user-generated material from LinkedIn, trivial directory listings, stories about the companies that don't mention the person (or mention him trivially), and so on. There are a few interviews, but those are hardly independent when establishing notability. Are there any examples of significant and independent sources? I was not able to locate anything searching externally, but that could be complicated by many others that share the same name, and a lot of self-serving PR that hides real sources. - Keep per the significant coverage in multiple independent reliable sources. The subject passes Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Basic criteria, which says:
People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject.
- If the depth of coverage in any given source is not substantial, then multiple independent sources may be combined to demonstrate notability; trivial coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not usually sufficient to establish notability.

- @Hongyi,
- I would like to respectfully address your repeated comments regarding "press releases" and "conflict of interest" on the Lu Renjie and Liu Jiakun articles:
- I have no conflict of interest with either subject. I am not related to Lu Renjie or Liu Jiakun, nor am I their representative, paid editor, or in any way connected. My only motivation is a genuine appreciation for Chinese art and architecture, and the belief that notable achievements in Chinese culture deserve proper documentation on Wikipedia.
- The notability guideline (WP:GNG) is based on significant, reliable, independent coverage. In both cases—especially for Liu Jiakun—there is substantial coverage in mainstream and reputable media. For example, Liu Jiakun was just awarded the Pritzker Prize, the most prestigious honor in global architecture (after I.M. Pei and Wang Shu, he is the third Chinese laureate). This is equivalent to a Nobel Prize in the field, which clearly demonstrates significance by any reasonable standard.
- If there are any issues with article quality or sources, Wikipedia encourages editors to improve the content constructively, not to assume bad faith or seek deletion of carefully developed articles. If you see shortcomings, please suggest specific improvements or add more reliable sources.
- Once again, I confirm I have no personal or financial relationship with either subject. My only interest is in improving Wikipedia's coverage of important figures in Chinese culture.
- Thank you for your attention. I welcome any good-faith collaboration to further enhance the quality and neutrality of these articles. Miercat (talk) 12:11, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for raising your concerns. I’d like to clarify that Lu Renjie is widely recognized in the Chinese-speaking art world and has substantial coverage across Chinese-language media and art publications. This includes:
- - Independent news coverage in 上观新闻,腾讯,网易,搜狐,among many others.
- - Reviews and profiles in reputable art journals and exhibition catalogs (e.g. baokuchina.com in Shanghai Tower)
- - Entries on multiple Chinese-language wikis, including wikipedia zh.
- I am working on adding more of these independent, non-promotional sources to the English Wikipedia article, with English translations where necessary for verification. I believe this breadth of coverage demonstrates that Lu Renjie meets the requirements of WP:GNG, not just through press releases but through in-depth reporting and analysis in independent sources.
- I welcome any further advice on improving the article and am happy to collaborate. Miercat (talk) 02:23, 6 July 2025 (UTC)

- Baidu Baijiahao (2) — Another feature on the solo exhibition.
- UnionTech — Industry coverage and event summary.

Delete perthe lack of significant coverage in reliable sources. Lu Renjie (simplified Chinese: 陆人捷; traditional Chinese: 陸人捷) does not meet Wikipedia:Notability#General notability guideline or Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Basic criteria. This article mentions the subject in one sentence. This article is a press release from VSDesign, which put on the event in which the subject is a specially invited artist, so is not an independent source. This article provides significant coverage about the subject but is published by the subject's university so is not sufficiently independent. This article provides a few sentences of coverage about the subject's work of art at the the "Light Chaser – Tribute to Every Breakthrough" exhibition so is not significant coverage. This article provides a sentence of coverage and a few sentences of quotes from the subject regarding an event he created so is not significant coverage. I am open to reevaluating my position if significant coverage in independent reliable sources is found. Cunard (talk) 08:21, 6 July 2025 (UTC)- I am not able to read Chinese unaided but I possibly found some articles: about 3D printing and an installation at a mall, the second one seems to be at least partially an interview but I don't know if the rest is useful. Here are two sources that I took from the zh wiki. <3 Moritoriko (talk) 03:35, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Cunard and all,
- Regarding the comment that "this article mentions the subject in one sentence," I would like to clarify using several reliable sources and by describing the exhibition format:
- 1. Significant Coverage in Media:
- For example, in this Tencent News article (link), over 60% of the content is devoted to Lu Renjie and his work, with two out of three images directly depicting him and his painting process for the Shanhai Scroll (image 1), or panoramic views of his work (image 2). The article details his creative process and artistic intent, and visually documents both the artist and his artwork. This goes well beyond a trivial mention.
- 2. Additional Sources Provide Substantial Coverage:
- China News Shanghai features both video and text coverage of the exhibition, especially focusing on the "Light of Chaos" section, which consists exclusively of Lu Renjie's work. In the video, all three speakers discuss his pieces, and at least half of the exhibition footage showcases his artwork.
- The article notes: "The exhibition is divided into three chapters: Light of Chaos, Light of Reason, Light of Self, representing ancient, classical, and modern eras. The 'Light of Chaos' section, featuring ancient China, is entirely Lu Renjie's work."
- The same source also highlights: "Notably, some art pieces in this exhibition present different scenes under normal and special lighting. Viewers can use a flashlight to discover 'hidden surprises' left by the artist"—this interactive element refers specifically to Lu's Shanhai Scroll.
- Additional reputable coverage:
- 3. On the Exhibition Format:
- This was a group exhibition in a "partitioned" or "sectioned" format, with each of the three artists presenting an independent unit under a shared theme. In curatorial practice, this is considered a group show (not a solo or trivial participation). Both the public and media coverage treat the event as a unified exhibition, but Lu Renjie’s section is prominently highlighted and thematically integral.
- Conclusion:
- The sources cited above provide substantial, independent, and detailed coverage of Lu Renjie—well beyond a passing reference. Both textual and visual focus in reputable media clearly demonstrate notability per WP:GNG.
- Thank you for considering these clarifications. Miercat (talk) 11:58, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Regarding the point that "this article is a press release from VSDesign, so is not an independent source":
- It is standard practice in the art world for group exhibitions and artist participation to be documented both on event organizer/curator sites (such as VSDesign's artist page for Lu Renjie) and by third-party press. While this is an official source, it provides verifiable information about exhibition participation and the curatorial selection process (e.g., being a "specially invited artist").
- Importantly, this event was a group show, as clearly indicated on the VSDesign website (link), and Lu Renjie was featured with a dedicated artist page.
- As per Wikipedia policy, organizer/curator documentation is appropriate for confirming participation in group exhibitions, especially when independent coverage (as provided elsewhere) is also available.
- In the Wikipedia article, sources like this are only used to support the subject's exhibition history (e.g., under a "Group Exhibitions" section), not to establish overall notability, which relies on significant coverage from independent sources.
- To clarify, this exhibition and Lu Renjie's role as an invited artist have also been covered by independent media, as cited above.
- In summary: while official sources are not used to establish notability, they are appropriate for documenting exhibition participation, especially in the context of group shows and when confirmed by third-party coverage. Miercat (talk) 12:02, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Regarding the comment: "This article provides a few sentences of coverage about the subject's work of art at the 'Light Chaser – Tribute to Every Breakthrough' exhibition so is not significant coverage" (link):
- This source covers a major group exhibition at Shanghai Tower, where Lu Renjie was responsible for the entire "Light of Chaos" section—a key part of the event. The article provides specific details about his contribution, including mention of his works "Shanhai Scroll" and "Shanhai World", and describes the creative context and curatorial concept behind his section.
- This is not a trivial or passing mention; rather, the article dedicates a significant portion to Lu Renjie's works and the curatorial reasoning for his role in the exhibition.
- Furthermore, as previously stated and supported by multiple additional sources, the structure of this group show assigned each artist an entire section, and Lu Renjie's section and works are highlighted both in the media and in exhibition documentation.
- As a result, I have placed this source in the "Group Exhibitions" section of the article, along with other independent media coverage, to accurately represent the context and significance of Lu Renjie's involvement.
- Thank you. Miercat (talk) 12:22, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- In response to the claim that "This article provides only a sentence of coverage and a few sentences of quotes" (link):
- This is inaccurate. The entire article is focused on Lu Renjie and his solo exhibition "Shanhai Mitzang" at Guangfulin. The full text and all images exclusively cover Lu Renjie's work, artistic background, curatorial intent, and the significance of this exhibition. This is far beyond a trivial or incidental mention.
- Furthermore, this solo exhibition received comprehensive coverage in multiple reputable independent media outlets and official websites, including:
- Each of these sources provides substantial, independent coverage of Lu Renjie's exhibition, with the entire content devoted to his artistic contributions and public impact.
- The depth, focus, and multiplicity of independent sources clearly meet and exceed WP:GNG for notability.
- Thank you. Miercat (talk) 12:31, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Regarding the comment: "This article provides significant coverage about the subject but is published by the subject's university so is not sufficiently independent." (link):
- This source is not used to establish notability or provide independent coverage; it is simply a primary source used to verify a straightforward biographical fact: the subject's graduation from this university. It is both standard and appropriate practice on Wikipedia to use official university websites to confirm educational credentials.
- To suggest that a university's own website is somehow too biased to confirm that someone graduated from that university is unreasonable and would invalidate thousands of biographical articles. University sources are routinely accepted for this type of factual, non-controversial information.
- As stated, all notability claims are based on significant, independent media coverage, as provided in the other sources cited. This university source is strictly for verification of education, not notability.

- Clearly satisfies criteria 2, 3 and 4.
- Point 2 (originated a significant new concept or technique): He pioneered the use of digital technology and 3D printing to reinterpret the Classic of Mountains and Seas in contemporary art.[1]
- Point 3 (major work as subject of multiple independent articles/reviews): Lu Renjie’s works have been the main subject of multiple independent news articles and exhibition reviews.[2]
- Point 4 (substantial part of significant exhibition): His works formed a substantial section of the prestigious “Light Chaser – Tribute to Every Breakthrough” group exhibition at Shanghai Tower, organized by Baoku Culture.[3] Miercat (talk) 07:27, 17 July 2025 (UTC)

- The assertion that Lu Renjie has not been a substantial part of a significant exhibition is not accurate. Being featured as a major artist at Shanghai Tower—one of China’s most prominent and recognizable cultural landmarks—is equivalent to exhibiting at the Empire State Building or the Eiffel Tower; this represents the highest level of recognition for contemporary artists in China. To dismiss this as insignificant ignores both the prestige of the venue and the artist’s role. Furthermore, it should be noted that the same editor (Hongyi) has repeatedly attempted to challenge the notability of Liu Jiakun, the third Chinese architect to win the Pritzker Prize, which is widely considered the Nobel Prize of architecture. This consistent pattern reveals a strong bias against Chinese artists and architects, and reflects an effort to diminish their internationally recognized achievements. Instead of erasing such contributions, Wikipedia should aim for fair and global representation. Miercat (talk) 07:37, 17 July 2025 (UTC) — Miercat (talk • contribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.
- Your assertion that being part of an exhibition at Shanghai Tower—one (an office building and shopping mall) is significant is not correct. Such a versatile device is truly desirable in every household. It can be purchased for a price of around 160 euros."

The article notes: "While WowWee's dancing Roboboa robot has already made its way into a few select parts of the world, those in the US have so far had a considerable harder time getting their hands on one. That looks to have now changed in a big way, however, as the so-called "alien with attitude" is now available directly from WowWee for an even $100."

I don't feel this article meets the general English Wikipedia's notability criteria (WP:GNG). The subject of the article is not widely known, and its status is merely a local government subordinate to the higher Sultanate of Tidore, with territorial changes that may not exist, or are unclear, and there is no evidence that it ever became an independent entity in its own right (WP:GEOLAND). The sources cited also don't go into much detail about the state, Most of the material comes from only one source, and is not found in other sources, or other sources do not discuss this state. ▪︎ Fazoffic ( ʖ╎ᓵᔑ∷ᔑ) 10:27, 9 July 2025 (UTC)

- The presentation here may not be optimal, but there is likely a notable topic in either the village or the district. Currently neither has an article, with East Halmahera Regency being the lowest division. The sources currently in the article that I can access seem to focus on the village. Political history would fit within such as article. (id. wiki has stubs for the village id:Bicoli, Maba Selatan, Halmahera Timur and district id:Maba Selatan, Halmahera Timur.) The question then is whether to rework this article, or that given there might be OR, keep the sources somewhere to start a new article. CMD (talk) 07:56, 15 July 2025 (UTC)

Non-notable engine subject to a previous redirect from this deletion discussion: [30]. The sources - many pasted as bare links, do not demonstrate significant coverage from reliable secondary sources. - What is required for sufficient notability? The organization is oeprated primarily in Japanese but has held activities outside of Japan.
- Example:
- Referenced in an academic publication as well.
- https://www.taylorfrancis.com/chapters/edit/10.4324/9780429297878-16/conference-interpreting-japan-kayoko-takeda-kayo-matsushita 2404:7A80:3021:18F0:FC93:A514:9B96:4A9B (talk) 12:49, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Notability sets out the requirements for notability. Notability is not determined by the organisation itself but by the sources available for it. For a subject to be notable there must be significant coverage, which is reliable and independent of the source. Weirdguyz (talk) 13:26, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- Delete all the google news comes from https://www.middlebury.edu/ . Unless someone can find indepth coverage in Japanese, this fails WP:ORG. LibStar (talk) 00:26, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- Keep Google throws up sources talking about the organisation, including this academic article https://incontextjournal.org/index.php/incontext/article/download/78/44 , this article about contests the organisation holds https://www.icu.ac.jp/en/news/2406281000.html , and this event advice company https://eventflare.io/expert-advice/tokyo/top-rated-translators-and-interpreters-in-tokyo-for-corporate-events , which seems like enough to go on with. I’m not going to put info from them into the article yet, because I’m getting a bit sick of fixing up articles just for them to be deleted anyway, but if the decision is Keep, I’ll come back and do it in a week or so. Absurdum4242 (talk) 10:55, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- Also. Can’t get access just now, but the academic publication that poster Starting 2404… etc, posted seems to be legit too, though I’d need to crack it open to be 100% sure. Absurdum4242 (talk) 10:59, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- The Eventflare article is definitely not reliable, being little more than a Listicle advertisement. The International Christian University article is dubiously reliable, and also is not SIGCOV for JACI itself, as it is about two students who received prizes from a JACI hosted competition. The Tsurata article comes the closest to being good, but I don't think two paragraphs is SIGCOV, and regardless Tsurata is not independent as she is also a member of JACI. Weirdguyz (talk) 15:17, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- Just to check, why is it you think that the International Christian University article is of dubious reliability? Have they been doing some dodgy tabloid stuff I’m unaware of? Also, I can’t see how coverage of events held by an organisation, and other things an organisation does don’t count as SigCov?
- As for the Tsurata article, which was published in a refereed academic journal I’ll note, while Tsurata is herself a member, she was not in this case speaking for the organisation, and is writing more generally about several organisations in the sector in Japan. Absurdum4242 (talk) 16:20, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- For the reliability of the ICU article, it's frankly the quality of the article which makes me doubt the reliability. Also, the reason it's not SIGCOV is there just isn't enough about the organisation. Sure, SIGCOV doesn't need to be the main focus of an article, but it needs to still be in-depth, which the ICU article isn't.
- And regardless of whether she was speaking for the organisation or not, Tsurata is a member of JACI and is not independent when writing about it. Weirdguyz (talk) 22:06, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- That…. Seems like a real stretch Re Tsurata’s independence. Are you suggesting Americans aren’t independent when talking about America? And doctors are independent when talking about medical bodies they belong to - the AMA say? Absurdum4242 (talk) 19:03, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- I am suggesting that a member of an organisation is not independent when writing about that organisation.
Are you suggesting that Americans aren't independent when talking about America
is an astonishingly vacuous argument. And yes, a doctor talking about a body they are a member of is similarly not independent. I think you are misunderstanding why I'm pointing these things out. WP:GNG specifically requires independent and reliable SIGCOV to establish notability. A source written by a member of an organisation cannot be used to establish notability for that organisation. Sure, you can carefully use that source for information within the article, but it is not independent and so does not contribute to notability. Weirdguyz (talk) 23:46, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- I am suggesting that a member of an organisation is not independent when writing about that organisation.

- Delete for lack of notability. While I deeply appreciate Absurdum4242's search for additional sources, upon review, I find them unconvincing to establish notability under NCORP. Tsuruta 2024 may be the highest quality one, but two brief paragraphs of coverage in a 24 page-article in a single, new journal does not ultimately tip the scale. The Middlebury pages are entirely primary and therefore adds no weight. I find it unlikely that Takeda 2021 will provide SIGCOV. The ICU blog post is similarly primary. And the Eventflare listicle I discount for both SIGCOV and likely PRIMARY reasons. In conclusion, I do not find notability here. Best, KevinL (aka L235 · t · c) 00:13, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

- Comment: Guns have been completely and strictly banned in South Korea for many decades. So this incident shouldn't be compared with any shooting case in the US, since their possession of firearms is so widespread and public. Meanwhile, multiple media outlets confirmed that the perpetrator was involved in an attempted bombing on a large residential complex where he lives, so that many people even started to view the case as "terrorism".
- Timers were set to explode at noon and the whole building might be endangered if they went enabled, all confirmed by an official police briefing.
- The most recent shooting crime in South Korea, excepting this and any military incidents, took place more than nine years ago, proving any gun crimes in South Korea are super rare, unlike the US having annual cases of mass shootings without skipping a year. I think I showed enough that the case is not routine at all and so unusual. -StarBiologist (talk) 19:35, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- Delete. Replying to the above as well; while the event is certainly unusual, judging on our own of what is unusual isn't really part of WP:NEVENT. - What? I do trust Korean media articles, I use them in my own writings all the time. I already explained to you what the issues are. You need to have reliable sources (in any language) that discuss him in depth. Statistics aren't enough.
- When I said "strange counteraccusation", I meant that it was strange you were saying I was angry at you. I hadn't really said anything that made it seem like I was angry at you?
- Also, to others reading, noting that Issue0501 blanked the article after making that comment. I undid the blanking; articles in article space shouldn't be blank. - Keep. WP:NACTOR is a quite permissive standard; once an actor appears in enough notable works, we generally have an article on them even if we don't have tons of non-primary sources on their biography. https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2023/06/youtuber-yong-yea-is-the-new-english-voice-of-kazuma-kiryu is a source directly on him that is not just a passing mention. This kind of article is always going to be a bit of a stub and a bit of a sourced list of works they're in, but that's generally accepted and fine for borderline-notable actors. If a government school, there is a little information out there, but not clear anything that meets GNG. I previously !voted keep as it was nominated in a string of poorly explained nominations, so it lacked deletion rationale. I will not !vote to keep on that basis. WP:NOTBROCHURE and WP:SBST. Coverage largely lacks significant analysis. Current article is thus essentially what the company wants to say about itself, even if there were sources found (I haven't found anything suitable) it may be better to start from scratch. Coverage in standard BEFORE and ProQuest is mostly the 2024, so it might be possible to redirect Mongolia at the 2024 Summer Olympics after smerging a short blurb or something. - Strong keep: As I stated in the previous nomination, the subject clearly meets the requirements of WP:GNG by receiving significant coverage in multiple reliable, independent sources. Notable examples include a detailed articles in DNA (300+ words), an article by Time of India (350+ words), Business Standard, NDTV, Hindustan Times, and MidDay, among others. These are independent, reliable secondary sources that provide substantial detail about her career, publications, and public influence, not mere name-drops or trivial mentions. As WP:GNG states:
If the depth of coverage in any given source is not substantial, then multiple independent sources may be combined to demonstrate notability; trivial coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not usually sufficient to establish notability.
In this case, multiple substantial articles from mainstream publications combine to satisfy the notability criteria. Therefore, the subject meets both WP:GNG and WP:BASIC. GSS 💬 14:51, 19 July 2025 (UTC)- I can’t see your comment on the previous nomination. Did you participate in the last AFD?
- This DNA article you mentioned is non-bylined promotional article to advertise her personal training service.
- The Times of India article is also clearly advertorial piece with a disclaimer "Disclaimer: This article was produced on behalf of Life Health Foods by Times Internet’s Spotlight team."
- Business standard article is a book review without the name of the reviewer, clear promotion.
- NDTV article is more focused on the Book and Salman Khan, not the subject of the article.
- The Hindustan Times article is about the opinions of multiple people, and she got trivial coverage, fails Wp:SIGCOV.
- midday article is just a photo gallery, without any critical assessment of her career.
- This proves the article fails wp:GNG and Wp:SIGCOV both. Zuck28 (talk) 15:09, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
- Respectfully, I did participate in the previous AfD, but regardless, notability is determined based on policy and the quality of sources, not continuity of participants. Regarding the sources: while it's fair to assess for promotional tone or disclaimers, dismissing all coverage as non-notable misapplies WP:GNG and WP:SIGCOV. The DNA India article, which is over 300 words, discusses her career, influence, and clientele. The absence of an author byline does not disqualify its reliability or editorial status, as many editorial articles are unsigned unless marked as sponsored. As for the Business Standard article, it was written by journalist Asmita Aggarwal (credited by name), so the claim that it lacks one is factually incorrect. The article engages directly with her book and fitness philosophy, not simply as a product plug but in a substantive profile format. The NDTV piece, while it includes Salman Khan, is centered around Deanne Panday’s book launch and includes her quotes and ideas this qualifies as non-trivial coverage. Similarly, the Hindustan Times and Mid-Day articles offer independent mentions. Per WP:GNG, notability is assessed holistically. If depth in any one source is limited, multiple independent sources may be considered collectively. In addition to the previously mentioned sources, here are more in-depth, independent articles that further support her notability and provide substantial coverage suitable for expanding the article; Economic Times, India Today, HT, Indian Express, HT. In my view, these sources align with the requirements under WP:GNG and provide further opportunity to expand the article. GSS 💬 16:12, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
- I would add that the Salman Khan reference is not a counter argument but perhaps the opposite, as it would ultimately demonstrate her importance as celebrities' fitness/well-being coach (as claimed), and thus the importance of keeping the article. Metamentalist (talk) 13:14, 20 July 2025 (UTC)

Khasa Kingdom was a specific kingdom in a specific place in a specific time period, which the list article claims would be but one entry in it, the Khasa people having established many kingdoms in various places throughout history. No significant coverage in reliable sources, including from any of the references currently present. Most of the article is currently not verified by the citations. A WP:BEFORE did not find anything to support notability, although Urdu-language sources may have something. I suggest redirecting to List of serving generals of the Pakistan Army. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 16:02, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in the deletion sorting lists for the following topics: People, Military, and Pakistan. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 16:02, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- Keep a two star general (3rd highest active rank in Pakistan Army) with country's second highest award (Hilal-i-Imtiaz). Clearly Passes WP:ANYBIO. Behappyyar (talk) 16:23, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- Behappyyar, if WP:GNG is not met, it doesn't matter if the subject meets WP:ANYBIO. See community consensus that "no subject-specific notability guideline supersedes the General Notability Guideline". ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 16:27, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- AirshipJungleman29 The rank of major general, combined with being a Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military; the second highest award), reflects a career of national-level distinction. These are not routine achievements.
- As per WP:NOTE: "The barometer of notability is whether reliable sources cover the subject in significant detail." In military contexts, however, high-ranking officers are often not profiled in depth unless involved in controversy. Behappyyar (talk) 17:26, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- Every major general of Pakistan (of whom there are currently 186) has received the Hilal-i-Imtiaz; that is the routine purpose of the award. Yes, if an officer, no matter how high-ranking, has not received coverage in reliable sources, they are not notable. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 17:31, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- AirshipJungleman29 Your assertion here is factually incorrect, it is not the case that every Major General in Pakistan receives the Hilal-i-Imtiaz. There is no official policy mandating this. Even if a significant number are awarded it, that does not diminish its status as a nationally recognized honor (2nd highest award) explicitly listed under WP:ANYBIO.
- More importantly, WP:ANYBIO does not require an award to be rare, it requires that the subject has received a "widely recognized honor or award at a national level" or "held a significant command position in a national military organization." This subject satisfies both conditions: a two-star general and a recipient of the Hilal-i-Imtiaz.
- Additionally, coverage in reliable sources is a requirement of WP:GNG, but it is not a requirement of WP:ANYBIO. As per WP:N:
- "Satisfying any one of the notability guidelines is sufficient for notability."
- Behappyyar (talk) 17:53, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- Would you mind pointing out where WP:N states that latter quote Behappyyar? ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 18:46, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- AirshipJungleman29 I wrote it in my own words. Here is the exact quote:
- A topic is presumed to merit an article if:
- It meets either the general notability guideline (GNG) below, or the criteria outlined in a subject-specific notability guideline (SNG). Behappyyar (talk) 19:02, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- And what are the criteria outlined in the subject-specific notability guideline? You are looking for WP:NBASIC, which requires "significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject". WP:ANYBIO is part of the "additional criteria", where people "are likely to be notable" but "meeting one or more [criteria] does not guarantee that a subject should be included".
- If an article does not meet the basic criteria but meets the additional criteria, you should look at the section titled "Failing basic criteria but meeting additional criteria". There, you see that the best solution is to "Merge the article into a broader article providing context." In this case, I suggest merging or redirecting to List of serving generals of the Pakistan Army.
- I think this encompassses my full argument, and will not be responding further in this nomination. Best wishes, ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 19:21, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- Would you mind pointing out where WP:N states that latter quote Behappyyar? ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 18:46, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- Delete Siding with AirshipJungleman29 here. The biggest issue is simply the lack of significant coverage in reliable, independent sources (WP:GNG) for this general. The Hilal-i-Imtiaz award is routinely given to every major general in the Pakistan Army. So, it's a common service award, not something that automatically makes someone notable for their own Wikipedia page, especially when there aren't in-depth articles written about them elsewhere. Wikipedia's WP:N policy is clear: just because someone might fit a subject-specific guideline like WP:ANYBIO, it doesn't matter if we can't find solid, independent sources to actually write the article from. Fails WP:NBOOK. Author and publisher are both non-notable. The two sources in the article [36] [37] are both largely interviews of the author, which are excluded under WP:NBOOK: publications where the author, its publisher, agent, or other self-interested parties advertise or speak about the book

- Keep – Aapa Shameem meets the criteria for notability as defined by WP:GNG and WP:NENT. The series has received WP:SIGCOV, non-trivial coverage in multiple reliable, independent sources:
- DAWN has published at least two critical columns analyzing the show themes, characters, and broadcast platform, not merely mentioning it.
- Independent Urdu, a variant of The Independent, ran an analytical feature article titled (translated to English) "Aapa Shameem: Good for few and Bad for the others" which covers the show in depth.
- South Asia Magazine, a regional magazine provided full plot, cast, and broadcast details, showing editorial depth.
- Additional coverge from The Nation, Samaa TV, The Express Tribune, and BizAsiaLive (UK) adds independent recognition and visibility.
These outlets meet the standards of WP:RS and are unaffiliated with the subject. Claims that the show is a “YouTube series” are demonstrably false – it aired on a national broadcast network, as confirmed by DAWN.
Also, no references in the article rely on social media or user-generated platforms. The current nomination hinges largely on a procedural point (sock vote), not a new substantive challenge to the article's notability. In line with WP:NOTABILITY and WP:ATD, this article deserves to remain in the mainspace. The table below demonstrates the show meets WP:GNG and WP:NENT via coverage in reliable, independent, and in-depth sources which go beyond trivial mentions and fulfill notability criteria per WP:GNG and WP:NENT.
Source | Type | Coverage | Independence | Reliability | Summary of Content |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
DAWN – The Tube Column | National newspaper | In-depth analysis | Independent of subject | High | Discusses broadcast details, themes of domestic power dynamics, and show's placement on national TV; not a passing mention. |
Independent Urdu | Reputable news site (localized version of The Independent) | Thematic critique | Independent | High | Critical column titled “Aapa Shameem: Good for Few and Bad for the Others” – explores polarizing viewer reactions and social commentary. |
SouthAsia Magazine | Regional print & digital magazine | Feature article | Independent | High | Offers comprehensive plot summary, cast information, and significance of the series in Pakistani pop culture. |
The Nation | National newspaper | Mention with context | Independent | High | Cites the series in the context of TV viewership and debut performances. |
The Express Tribune | English-language national daily (partnered with The New York Times) | Trends coverage | Independent | High | Analyzes how the show gained attraction via YouTube uploads by the official broadcaster. |
Samaa TV | Private national broadcaster | Coverage of lead actress's debut | Independent | Medium–High | Highlights the debuut of lead actor Zoha Tauqeer and the show's role in launching her career. |
BizAsiaLive (UK) | British entertainment/media site | Ratings and visibility | Independent | Medium | Reports on South Asian TV shows’ international performance and reception in UK-based diaspora. |

- Delete – Per WP:NOTNEWS and WP:EVENTCRIT – Per WP:GNG, "sources should be secondary sources, as those provide the most objective evidence of notability". From what I've been able to find, none of the sources were secondary since none of them contained analysis, evaluation, interpretation, or synthesis of the event itself. The event does not have in-depth nor sustained continued coverage of the event itself with coverage only briefly occurring in the aftermath of the accident. No lasting effects or long-term impacts on a significant region have been demonstrated. WP:EVENTCRIT#4 states that routine kinds of news events including most accidents – whether or not tragic or widely reported at the time – are usually not notable unless something further gives them additional enduring significance, which this event lacks per the above. Aviationwikiflight (talk) 07:52, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
- Well unsurprisingly the families do not consider this to be a news story. In July 2024 they made public their call for a boycott of the bus company and the bus company was shut down after an investigation.
- If I could search better in Urdu, I think there are very strong indications that there is more analysis, evaluation, interpretation, or synthesis to be found in the media and sustained coverage beyond a single day. JMWt (talk) 17:25, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
- Draftify The main point of disagreement here seems to be that it is unclear if this is a case of WP:LASTING. Therefore, I think the best idea is to keep it as a draft form rather than going all the way on a delete and see if the accident continues to be notable since it only happened a little over a year ago. - I've spent some more time looking for sources with a number of search queries, but none have returned any significant coverage (actually, this returned almost no sourcing at all besides name-drops in lists of lawyers in the Philippines [41]), and I do not think the book above would be reliable as it is written by two relatives. - Keep - the National Schools system are selective-admissions, special funded, and administered schools in the Philippines. This school in particular has gotten significant coverage in books and the media. Bearian (talk) 11:22, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- There were 6 books search hits. Three were government sources about laws appropriating the school its budget, as it is a national school and is financed and controlled by the national government. Financing this school is on every annual national budget, so if Google Books has copies of the national budget or the Congressional Record starting from 2004, there'd be 21 such instances. I do not think that counts as WP:GNG. Two seem to be biographies about authors (not WP:GNG for the school per se), and the other seems to be a bad hit.
- There are five media sources. These looks to be (1) 6 Valenzuela schools getting computers, of which this school is one of them, (2) back to school news with the same old problems (not specific for this school, FWIW), (1) some student from this school winning an award (not WP:GNG for this school per se), and (1) students from this school going to the public library for national library day (you could argue this to be WP:GNG for the school, the library, or both). Unsourced article about a company. As always, companies are not automatically entitled to have articles just because they exist, and have to show evidence of passing WP:GNG and WP:CORPDEPTH on third-party reliable source coverage about them in media and books -- but this is completely unsourced unless you count the company's own self-published website in the external links (which doesn't count), and says nothing about the company that would be "inherently" notable enough to hand it a presumption of notability without sourcing.

All of these are best compiled in the article about the company. Emiya Mulzomdao (talk) 12:42, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
- It is a brief 1-paragraph article that says that someone invested in the company. This falls under WP:CORPTRIV as "of a capital transaction, such as raised capital", or something similar. Who did it is irrelevant. I think my point has been made though, so I won't push it further besides stating my opinion you are incorrect. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 22:01, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
- Suwon's investment agreement is always a focal point of the regional newspapers due to the major perks and development in the special case city economics, which are stated in the articles, so I disagree with that. Emiya Mulzomdao (talk) 12:45, 15 July 2025 (UTC)

please read this discussion in rfd, as i'll be assuming you've done so when i suggest deleting to start from scratch, because i'm not even entirely sure the content that was made from the scraps of a revision blanked as spam can be called a stub, as it barely meets the bare minimum for gng, and barely does the bare minimum with that bare minimum coverage, which is really weird when more sources have already been found (though their reliability is up for debate, so check the rfd thread again, because they're piled up there)
the options, as i see them, culminate in deletion being the best choice to encourage recreation (or rather, creation), as keeping and redirecting could cause editors more excited about this than literally falling asleep while checking sources to think the current situation is fine, unless someone is in the mood to actually add more to it consarn (grave) (obituary) 20:36, 12 July 2025 (UTC)

- hey wait a minute, the current revision at the time of nomination doesn't even meet the bare minimum for gng, as it only has sources from two different places!! this means that, unless worked on within the time this discussion is up, i don't think keeping would be an option at all consarn (grave) (obituary) 20:45, 12 July 2025 (UTC)

- Comment - best name to search for is probably "朴永浩" since he played in Japan and there is another soccer player in Korea with the same name, so using his Korean name could be confusing, and translating his surname as Pak instead of Park in English is a little odd, but does seem to be how he is listed in English records. That being said, most mentions of him seem to be in articles about his son. – Ike Lek (talk) 23:19, 11 July 2025 (UTC)

Declined A7 speedy deletion (since it's not a recently created article, apparently). South Korean singer who is not significantly covered in any reliable sources, fails WP:GNG ApexParagon (talk) 13:50, 21 July 2025 (UTC)

- Comment - this is not a keep/delete recommendation from me, but just to note that I found these three sources with a decent amount of coverage in Chinese: udn.com, sohu.com, zaobao.com.sg which suggests to me that the subject may be notable. I'll take a better look a bit later. Not sure about the reliability of Sohu as a source. But on the face of it United Daily News and Lianhe Zaobao look OK. It's a bit of a pity that the zhwiki article, which is lengthier, is similarly ill-sourced. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 15:53, 21 July 2025 (UTC)

No source, and I can't find any secondary sources that mention this series. This series exists, but it was not notable, because IMO it failed WP:NTV.
Also, the article in its current state is written in WP:TOOSOON, though this is 2025, and the article now is out-of-date, and needs to be rewritten entirely. 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 15:05, 4 July 2025 (UTC)

- Redirect to Pakphum Wonjinda: WP:ATD (director of all episodes). - Eva Ux 11:17, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- Delete or redirect to Pakphum Wonjinda. Redirecting is a second choice because there is no unambiguously correct redirection target – Wonjinda is the director but the top star Yamnam also has an article. But redirection is fine. Best, KevinL (aka L235 · t · c) 22:04, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

Promotional article on a company that has never cited any in-depth, independent sources and has almost never been substantially edited by independent contributors. No evidence of notability * Pppery * it has begun... 19:27, 11 July 2025 (UTC)

- Comment: I have found a computerweekly and bloomberg source which might convey notability. However as one (Bloomberg) is paywalled and the other requires an account I have not actually been able to check this. Most other coverage that I could find (using google news) do not appear to provide notability and/or are not actually independent from FPT Software. - In my opinion the Computerweekly peace lacks independent content; most of the article is based on an interview with the founder. * Pppery * it has begun... 01:09, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
- For whatever reason I can now access the Computerweekly article. I do largely agree with your opinion, while I do believe that there are large portions of independent analysis/commentary this is sufficiently hard to determine (due to the fact that some seeming quotes are not marked with “ ”). As such I would argue it should be excluded under WP:ORGIND not because it neccessarily lacks independent content but because
If a source's independence is in any doubt, it is better to exercise caution and exclude it from determining quality sources for the purposes of establishing notability

- Thank you for providing the sources, now for my analysis of them:
- Forbes - This is written by a contributor, consensus amongst editors is that articles written by Forbes contributors are not reliable sources (see WP:FORBESCON) unless they also appear in a print edition which this doesn’t seem to.
- CIO.com - Provides significant, seemingly independent coverage, and is not discussed at WP:RS/P.

Weak DeleteMerge to FPT Corporation as per HighKing; While the article is entirely unsourced, there are a few sources which could help show notability. Namely the CIO.com source, which does count as a source to show notability; the computerweekly source, which at a stretch may contribute to notability but probably doesn’t; and the bloomberg source, which as yet no one has accessed and given opinions on meaning that it can’t help contribute notability right now.
As such I don’t currently think that notability can be demonstrated, but I believe that the bloomberg source could (if anyone accesses it and tells us what it contains) tip the balance in my eyes. - Comment – A review of the sources posted by @NatGertler: in the last AfD would be interesting. Svartner (talk) 16:52, 20 July 2025 (UTC)
- Keep -- As I noted at the previous AFD (to no response from the proposer), here is substantial coverage in the Fort Collins Coloradoan (article continues here). Here is a meaty piece on a joint effort of COPI and the local Soroptomist Club in the Jackson Hole News and Guide. This is just the continuation of a front-page story from the Star-Herald. That should nudge us past WP:NORG. -- Nat Gertler (talk) 17:12, 20 July 2025 (UTC)
Comment on the talk pages of the articles, not here. If you agree with the proposed deletion, you don't have to do anything. If you think the article merits keeping, then remove the {{prod}} template and make an effort to improve the article so that it clearly meets the notability and verifiability criteria.
