The list of Chief Ministers of X should be renamed as Chief Minister of X.

Request to move "List of Chief Ministers of X" → "Chief Minister of X" (All Indian states and applicable UTs)

Hi, I just wanted to request this change because I feel it makes more sense.

Most of these pages aren't just lists — they also describe the office, its powers, appointment method, and the current Chief Minister. So it feels like “Chief Minister of X” is a better and more accurate title for the article.

Some might say “there’s already a page called List of current chief ministers of India”, but that’s not a strong reason. For comparison, the U.S. has both List of governors of the United States and state-specific pages like Governor of California and List of governors of California. And the Governor is the equivalent of a Chief Minister in the U.S. system.

We already have Chief Minister of Maharashtra using the singular form — this proposal is just about making the rest consistent.

(Other UTs like Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Chandigarh, etc., are excluded as they are governed by administrators or Lieutenant Governors.)

This move would make naming across Indian political office articles consistent and align with international standards.
