  • Comment: I do not see improvement that shows if the roles played by the subject were notable who had a lead or significant roles in a film or tv show. You will need to find and add reliable sources with reviews of the films the subject had role in, talking about the performance. So far, none of the roles played seem significant. As publicity designer also you have to prove
notability where his work made a significant impact worthy of notice. RangersRus (talk) 21:35, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
  • Comment: Does do meet WP:NACTOR who did not have lead or significant roles in multiple films. RangersRus (talk) 14:48, 21 July 2025 (UTC)

Early Life and Education

[edit]

Arun Ajikumar, a native of Kochi, Kerala, found his passion for the performing arts early in life. He began his artistic journey as a school student, performing with Lokadharmi,[2] a well-known theatre collective based in Kochi. Alongside his interest in theatre, Arun developed a deep appreciation for holistic living, which led him to complete a diploma in Ashtanga Yoga and Yoga Therapy. Though he initially joined Bharata Matha College, Thrikkakara, to pursue a degree in Commerce, Arun soon realised that his heart lay in the creative world. He eventually decided to leave the course and dedicate himself fully to the arts.

Career

[edit]

Arun Ajikumar discovered his passion for acting early in life. By the age of eight, he was already performing with respected theatre groups in Kochi, including the renowned collective Lokadharmi. These formative years laid the groundwork for his understanding of physical theatre and sparked a deep appreciation for storytelling and performance.[3]

In his teens, he made a natural shift from stage to screen, taking on roles in short films, television commercials, and Malayalam cinema. His work quickly drew attention for its subtlety and realism qualities rooted in his early theatre experience.[4]

In 2011, Arun appeared in a short film directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, (known for Om Shanthi Oshana and 2018) [5] based on the life of actor Mammootty. The project marked one of Arun’s earliest acting performances and highlighted his commitment to character and subtle expression.

In 2016 Arun Ajikumar made his film debut with School Bus (2016) a Malayalam thriller directed by Rosshan Andrrews, written by Bobby–Sanjay, and starring Jayasurya and Kunchacko Boban. Arun played a supporting role in this film.[6]

Arun Ajikumar steadily built his acting career with a diverse range of roles across films and web series [7] . He appeared in the 2021 film Madhuram directed by Ahammed Kabeer .In 2023, Arun played a supporting role as Guinness in Pookkaalam, a Malayalam film directed by Ganesh Raj. The film featured Arun as a light-hearted and humorous presence within the family setting. [8] . The same year, he was part of the Tamil anthology series Modern Love Chennai[9]. In 2024, he played a negative shade character in the crime investigation film Anweshippin Kandethum and also made his Hindi film debut with Do Aur Do Pyaar [10] , portraying the character C.R. Surya. In Little Hearts (2025), Arun Ajikumar portrayed a supporting character named Power Bhai. His performance received appreciation from critics for his natural screen presence and effective comic timing, marking it as one of his standout roles.Transitioning from that, In Padakkalam Arun played Nakul, one of the main characters. The role was more intense compared to his previous work, and he received appreciation for delivering a grounded and convincing performance.
