Duckmather is currently experiencing mental health issues, which may affect his Wikipedia editing in various ways. He may have difficulty with:
altered perception when making editorial judgements, determining consensus, or reading Wikipedia discussions addressed to him;
reduced availability on Wikipedia during times when he experiences issues;
limited capacity to respond to other Wikipedians via talk page or email messages in a timely fashion, to participate in conflict resolution, or to complete his usual workload of Wikipedia tasks.
Thank you for your understanding.
CAN'T RETIRE
Duckmather tried to leave Wikipedia, but found that he couldn't do so…
I'm User:Duckmather, known to more of the internet as duck_master. (Personal website is here.) I am a lifelong mathematics enthusiast and MIT student (class of 2026), although I am also deeply interested in computer science (the field which I've been slowly veering towards over the years), once had a stronger interest in physics and culture, and have a very mild interest in everything else (especially the history thereof).
Previously, I edited AoPSWiki. These days, I am also active on no less than four different wikis - this one, Wikidata, Commons, and English Wikisource - though I primarily divide my time between here and Wikisource.
I'm a lifelong Massachusettsan, usually dividing my time between Cambridge and Newton. If you ever find yourself in either city, you should find me and say hi!
