Menerix is an Indian online business-to-business (B2B) marketplace that connects micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) requiring custom manufacturing services with vetted suppliers.[2] The platform targets ‘‘technical buyers’’—such as production engineers and purchasing managers—who routinely source CNC-machined parts, sheet-metal fabrication, casting, moulding and electronics assembly work.
Overview
[edit]Menerix was launched in 2025 and is headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka.[1] According to the company, every buyer and seller undergoes a two-step verification (document screening followed by a manual call) intended to reduce unsolicited messages and fraudulent listings that are common on incumbent Indian B2B portals.[2]
Features
[edit]- **Request-for-quotation (RFQ) hub** – buyers post drawings/specifications that are routed only to suppliers whose listed capabilities and certifications match the job.
- **Supplier profile pages** – include machine lists, quality certifications (e.g., ISO 9001), capacity charts and past project galleries.
- **Freemium model** – suppliers may register free; paid tiers offer analytics, higher search ranking and the option to quote on larger RFQs.
- **In-platform messaging** – real-time chat and file-sharing with automatic NDA overlay for proprietary designs.
Business model
[edit]Menerix operates on a freemium subscription model for suppliers and charges a success-based transaction fee on orders concluded through the platform. Buyers use the service free of cost.
Reception and notability
[edit]As of July 2025 the firm employs fewer than ten people and operates mainly in southern India.[1] Independent media coverage is minimal, so the long-term impact of the platform on India’s MSME manufacturing ecosystem remains to be assessed.
