Rajamohan (Director) Rajamohan is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and lyricist who works predominantly in the Tamil film industry. Known for his realistic storytelling and rooted characters, he made his directorial debut with Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum (2009), a critically acclaimed rural drama. With a career spanning over two decades, Rajamohan has also contributed as an assistant director, dialogue writer, and lyricist in various successful projects.
Early Life and Education Rajamohan was born in Rajakkamangalam, Nagercoil, in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu to Rengappan and Valliammal. He pursued his early education at Government High School, Puliyampatti, Pollachi, and later attended AVD Higher Secondary School, Ganapathipuram, Nagercoil. He graduated with a Master of Arts in History from Hindu College, Nagercoil.
Personal Life Rajamohan is married to Prema Suja Rajamohan, and the couple has two daughters, Priyanka Rajamohan and Thanmayi Rajamohan. He has two brothers: Kavignar Selvamurugan R, an elder brother, and Sivakumar R, a younger brother.
Career Assistant Director Rajamohan began his journey in the Tamil film industry in July 1999, working as an assistant director. He was mentored under notable filmmakers and contributed to several commercially successful and critically appreciated films, including:

Directorial Career Rajamohan made his directorial debut with Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum (2009), which received positive reviews for its grounded portrayal of rural life and featured music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film went on to become a cult favorite and was noted for its emotional depth and musical score.
He continued to explore diverse genres with films such as:
