Not a blatant violation of the username policy. Apparently it's a stage name or personal username, and "Staggers" is the surname according to that diff. Report at WP:AIV if promotional edits continue. ~Anachronist (who / me) (talk) 05:22, 10 November 2025 (UTC)

- See WP:REALNAME - the onus is on the account holder to prove they ARE the person in question, not the reporter to provide evidence that they are not. WaggersTALK 08:57, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
- Waggers, I beg to differ. The username policy imposes no mandatory "onus" on editors to prove that their name is what they say it is. Where's that language? The wording used about blocking is "may" not "must". Real names are permitted. Impersonation is not. Lacking even the slightest indication of impersonation, I think that is an error to block an account. There may well be conflict of interest issues, but COI is not a username violation. Cullen328 (talk) 09:13, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
- Blocking is preventative not punitive. The convention is to block accounts that might be impersonating a famous person until we are reasonably sure they are not. WaggersTALK 09:27, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
- I do not accept that "convention" in the absence of any evidence or even a hint of impersonation, and I believe that "convention" you mention is not grounded in policy. By that reasoning, I could block any account that I think "might" cause disruption. Cullen328 (talk) 10:00, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
- Waggers, at the top of this very page, it says
Real names are permitted, except when the editor implies they are someone other than themselves, such as impersonating a notable living person.

Current requests for reduction in protection level
[edit]Before posting a request for unprotection, please discuss it with the protecting administrator first. You can create a request below only if you receive no response from them.
To find out which administrator protected the page, go to the page's edit history and click on the "View logs for this page" link (located underneath the page's title). The protecting administrator is listed in the protection log entry, next to the words "protected", "changed protection level", or "configured pending changes". If there are a large number of log entries on the page, use the drop-down menu near the top of the page and select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" to filter the logs accordingly.
DO NOT request a reduction in protection if...
- ...you are being prevented from editing the page. A desire to change content is not a valid reason for unprotection. Instead:
- If you can edit the article's talk page, use the WP:Edit Request Wizard to propose a change on the article's talk page. Include an explanation of the exact content that you want to change, and what the content will be afterward.
- If the article's talk page is protected, you may propose a change at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection/Edit.
- ...your reasoning for reducing protection is that the article has not been vandalized. That simply means the protection is working as intended.
- ...your reasoning for reducing protection is basically "a long time has passed" without supporting details.
- ...you haven't contacted the protecting administrator.
You may request a protection reduction below if...
- ...you want to change the protection level of a template or module from full protection to template protection. You may add the request to this page without having to discuss it with the protecting administrator first.
- ...you need to remove creation protection from a location where no page exists (redlinked pages) after a draft version of the intended article is prepared beforehand and ready to be published.
- ...you are proposing a trial reduction in protection for a page that has been protected for several years, provided the proposal is supported by evidence such as talk page activity, page views, page traffic, number of watchers, frequency of edit requests, and prior history of vandalism.
- ...the protecting administrator is inactive or has not responded to you in several days.
If you cannot locate your request, make sure to check the request archives to see if it's been moved there. Only requests that have been recently answered will still be listed here.

Request to allow draft recreation: Danny Lauter Hello, I would like to request temporary unprotection of Draft:Danny Lauter so that I can recreate the page in draft space following Wikipedia notability and sourcing standards.
The previous deletions occurred before significant independent coverage was available. Since then, there have been new independent articles and media coverage (I can provide sources). The new version will be fully cited, neutral, and based only on reliable sources.
Thank you for considering an unprotection or administrator-assisted recreation in draft space.

- @~2025-32618-95: forgive me if I'm mistaken, but I think you can also create a draft in your own userspace. Like so: User:~2025-32618-95/Danny Lauter. You can also create an account, and then post the content on your User: page. Good luck, Manifestation (talk) 16:47, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
Current requests for edits to a protected page
[edit]Please add an edit request to the talk page of the protected page before adding an edit request here
Requests for specific edits should be made on the talk page of the protected article. You can create an edit request below only if the talk page is also protected, preventing you from adding a request there.
- You may add the appropriate template (
{{Edit protected}},{{Edit template-protected}},{{Edit extended-protected}}, or{{Edit semi-protected}}) to the article's talk page if you would like to request an edit be made. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed. - For edit requests being made due to the editor having a conflict of interest with the article subject (see Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance), the
{{Edit COI}}template should be used instead of the others listed above. - Requests to move pages that are currently move-protected should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves, not on this page.
- This page is not for holding discussions regarding content. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit that you wish to be performed.
Otherwise, this is the correct place to use in order to add an edit request if you are unable to add one to the article's talk page. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to properly add a request.

Autopatrolled[edit]
Hello! I formally request the autopatrolled user right. I'm a regular user of Wikipedia, both in English and Spanish, and I consider that, after so many years and hundreds of articles created on both wikis, i am in the position to say that I know the rules and styles. I've never cared much about user rights, but now that I've started a personal project (ambassadors of Spain and all its lists) to expand diplomatic information about my country, Spain, I'd like to avoid the workload that comes with reviewing articles that comply with our rules. Thank you. TheRichic
Hello! I formally request the Autopatrolled user right. I'm a regular user of Wikipedia, both in Turkish and English. I have contributed to the Turkish Wikipedia, particularly on the Tao-Klarjeti region. I have also started to transfer these contributions to the English Wikipedia. New page reviewer[edit]
I've had probationary patroller rights for a month now and I've been enjoying helping with the NPP backlog and participating in AfC. I'd like to request my patroller right be extended. Thanks! SnowyRiver28 (talk) 23:21, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
I am interested in being granted the new page reviewer right. I have an extensive history of editing on Wikipedia, having created over two dozen well-sourced articles on a variety of topics, as well as expanding and improving stubs and starts to C class at least. I also regularly review citations to verify them when it seems appropriate, including recently acquiring an EPUB edition of a book for one article. I have come upon a few articles recently that havent been reviewed yet, and it would be useful to help get those squared away. I frequently work with other editors to develop a consensus where everyone is satisfied, particularly but not only in contentious areas. And I enjoy helping to guide newer users on how to construct a good quality article. I am also deeply anti-LLM so I will be on the lookout for such junk. With this right, I would continue to verify and improve citations, etc. Sadly, there is a seemingly limitless supply of poorly cited legacy and newer articles. ← Metallurgist (talk) 22:40, 5 November 2025 (UTC)
Given the articles I have created/contributed to on Wikipedia, I would like to have access to review new articles, and believe I could contribute to expanding the new articles, finding citations, fixing tone, etc. KyleSirTalksAlot (talk) 04:44, 7 November 2025 (UTC)

I've been editing Wikipedia for about 7 months now, and made just under 500 edits. While sometimes I make mistakes, I learn from them and try to be as understanding as possible. I've merged one article, and recently split several. I think this permission would help me improve Wikipedia, and help take some pressure of other reviewers. Tactical Falcon (talk) 22:58, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
I already make a habit of keeping an eye on Special:PendingChanges when I'm spending time on Wikipedia, and it would be great to be able to accept edits that meet the requirements rather than just reverting those that don't, especially when the backlog fills up with acceptable edits waiting for a reviewer. If I could do with any constructive criticism, please let me know. Seercat3160 (talk) 10:09, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
Reason for requesting pending changes reviewer rights I have been on here for six months now, and recently also joined the simple Wikipedia. Have had 2 declined rollback requests in July and August but have since then, I now officially fully understand the basics of Wikipedia and how to edit, only issue I have had with my editing lately was an accidental page blanking I did due to page-move vandalism and failed move-back about a month ago, but have 2000 additional edits since then (4,100 total). I recently came across one article I was editing (Seth Curry) where the issue of not being a PC-reviewer took full effect, so I am requesting to be a PC reviewer, especially as some "Likely Have Problems" pending edits I have seen in the recent changes have actually been good. MakaylaHippo1998 (talk) 04:20, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
I have made over 500 edits and currently hold the extended confirmed user status. I would like to help reduce the backlog by reviewing pending changes. Thank you. BrownCanary61 (talk) 20:07, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
I have patrolled hundreds of edits for vandalism via recent changes, I am well-versed in what is vandalism and what isn't (among other reasons to deny a pending change). And would like to help with pending changes reviewing. CocaPopsRather 19:09, 24 October 2025 (UTC)

Cheers! monkeysmashingkeyboards (talk) 16:19, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
I have been editing on Wikipedia for quite a while now. I have nearly a 1000 edits on the English Wikipedia and 1500+ sitewide edits. I spend a lot of time on recent changes and was recently granted rollback. I'm familiar with content policies and guidelines, including the criteria for accepting a pending revision. I've been around a while, and a lot of my work on the project involves reverting vandalism and abuse. I have read the policy document and understand the restrictions around disclosure of information derived from the tool. — Manticore 21:10, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
I already have rollback and PCR rights, so this would be a natural extension for my anti-vandalism work. I have experience with both the past and present systems, and I have read, understood, and agreed to the provisions of the requirements and responsibilities of this right. I have moderate to advanced experience with RCP and NPP in the userspace. Thanks, 2003 LN6 21:36, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
I very often use IP location to track complex vandalism. I agree to the terms of use for this tool. Hardyplants (talk) 08:47, 9 November 2025 (UTC)
going into copyediting, also still do AV work, per asilvering's request. Tankishguy 21:08, 9 November 2025 (UTC)
I'm active in recent changes patrolling, and TAIV would make it much easier to see and properly handle vandalism, sockpuppetry and other disruption on the same/similar pages across the same IP range (particularly /64 v6 ranges), where there is no correlation between temporary accounts. I have read and agree to the requirements at WP:TAIVDISCLOSE. - Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 03:56, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
Worked as an anti-vandal on Formula One BLPs for a while. MB2437 10:33, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
I've been cleaning up references in article namespace for a while, and reacting to vandalism whenever spotted is part of my routine, which involves dealing with IP addresses that add explicitly unreliable sources. I report IP-hopping disruptors at AIV, and the access to TAIV would help this. I have read WP:TAIVDISCLOSE, understand responsibilities with this right, and will apply it with utmost care. I have reported vandalism through AIV with suitable rangeblocks if it would provide assistance for the admins. I have knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 range blocks and how subnet works for IPv6 where the number of IPs is tied to certain subnets (/28 versus /32). I acknowledge the terms listed by WMF regarding the use of this functionality. – The Grid (talk) 14:00, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
I am an active user who monitors over 2,200 pages. Before the rollout of TAs a few days ago, I regularly used IP information to identify and combat vandalism and abuse. This permission would enable me to continue doing so effectively. I have read and agree to the Foundation policy and the criteria for use. – Demetrios1993 (talk) 17:05, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
Requesting rights to assist me in my AV work. Would be a boon in helping to track down vandals who hop between temporary accounts and stop them. I've used the past IP system to help me stop a few vandals, so this right will help me to be able to continue stopping them. I've fully read the policy regarding TAIV and understand the restrictions that come with it. Muffin(Spreading democracy, one edit at a time) 19:11, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
I have dealt with many vandals, SPAs, LTAs over the years. I initially did not see a need for TAIV, as I thought IP hopping (technically TA hopping, I guess?) would become a largely a thing of the past (or at least more uncommon) due to TA's being "per device", but this SPI case just proved me wrong. As such, I am requesting TAIV to help me deal with such cases in the future. I have read and understand WP:TAIVDISCLOSE, and will follow the policy to the best of my ability. - ZLEA TǀC 23:14, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
I would like TAIV rights to help with anti vandalism work on Wikipedia. I have read and agree to the Foundation's guidelines. Thank you, --pro-anti-air ––>(talk)<–– 00:07, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
I would like these rights to help with my counter-vandalism work. I believe that these rights will only be necessary on a very rare basis but I think I will really appreciate having them if the time comes. I have read and fully understand the related policies. Thanks. interstatefive 00:29, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
