Extended confirmed

I had my EC revoked last year by the arbitration committee. I have since completed the required 500 substantial edits to the best of my knowledge. I applied about a month ago and was refused because I didn't clearly understand the requirements. But hopefully this time I got it correctly. Tashmetu (talk) 13:58, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I had my ECP revoked 5 months ago. Since then, I've made hundreds of meaningful edits and currently have 806 edits. IdanST (talk) 18:16, 7 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I often use the translation tool to translate English articles into Dutch. However, recently I've been receiving the following message:

"On the English Wikipedia this tool is limited to extended confirmed editors, and the machine translation component is disabled for all users (see WP:CXT)."

While I can still continue with the translation after clicking through, I didn't used to see this message. I'm now worried that something has changed and I may soon lose access to the tool entirely.

For this reason, I would like to kindly request extended confirmed status. I'm mostly active on the Dutch Wikipedia, not so much here.

Thank you very much in advance! AidepikiWeerF (talk) 14:56, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Just to clarify, you only receive this message when trying to translate to the English Wikipedia.
I’ve translated over a hundred articles to the Hebrew Wikipedia and have never encountered this message, but I did when translating to the English Wikipedia.
If you're getting it while translating to the Dutch Wikipedia, then the issue should be addressed there, not with the English Wikipedia. IdanST (talk) 09:56, 10 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I see. Actually, I just noticed that I don’t get the message when I’m on the English-Dutch translation page. I get it on the page before that—the one where I have to select the source and target languages. For some reason, I didn’t use to see that page; it used to take me straight to the translation without asking. Anyway, okay then, thanks for the help, and sorry for the bother.  Not done however you can use a workaround. When translating TO English, change the article title to start with "Draft:" After the article is all the way ready (translations, templates, formatting, etc) you can move it to the article name. — xaosflux Talk 13:09, 10 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I had my EC revoked because of gaming of the system. I believe this happened March 22, 2025. Since then, I have attempted to edit constructively on Wikipedia. I want to see if there is a way that I can get EC. Thanks again
