"Sennett directed his first film this year with D. W. Griffith, but was uncredited for his work."
The closest I've found are secondary discussions suggesting that the comic style of The Curtain Pole aligns strongly with Sennett's later work — but those seem to be interpretive rather than evidentiary. I would love to locate a citation supporting anything on the subject. Could you peek back where that came from? It's a cool tidbit.
