- Keep, per the offline coverage in the Finnish article: the books Mitä Missä Milloin and Urheilukunniamme puolustajat ("Defenders of our sports honour") both devote coverage to him. He was fourth at the world championships – he was the fourth-best wrestler in the world – and Norwegian newspapers mentioned him many times such as this picture with a biographical blurb. Some recent newspapers still mention him to this day as one of his club's greatest wrestlers. Without a doubt there's plenty of coverage in Finnish archives as well, we'll just need to look there. - Redirect to Wrestling at the 1948 Summer Olympics – Men's freestyle bantamweight. Corresponding article on Finnish Wikipedia is likewise a stub, without References section apart from the offline coverage. ⋆。˚꒰ঌ Clara A. Djalim ໒꒱˚。⋆ 14:58, 13 September 2025 (UTC)
- ? There is nothing wrong with offline coverage. BeanieFan11 (talk) 17:34, 13 September 2025 (UTC)
- Keep BeanieFan11 has proved that WP:SIGCOV exists. The Knowledge Pirate (talk) 03:20, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
- Keep – SIGCOV exists. Beanie has given some good evidence, plus according to the Finnish article he was a national champion. – Ike Lek (talk) 23:13, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
- Keep- given BeanieFan11 's discovery, the article just needs more expansion with these SIGCOV sources for the subject's notability.Lorraine Crane (talk) 20:45, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
- Very weak keep basically assuming good faith in the creators of the Finnish article that the offline sources do actually provide some detail about the subject. However, if in future those sources are put online this should be revisited. Beanie's database searches, where no SIGCOV is actually identified, should not be credited however. - Comment. I just want to point out that the article currently is not in compliance with WP:SPORTSCRIT which requires all sports bio pages to have at least one source physically present with WP:SIGCOV that is not a database (see last bullet point at SPORTSCRIT). The RFC outcome was to delete all sportsbio pages built only from databases even if sources external to the article were found. We really shouldn't keep this until at least one source with significant coverage is physically present in the article in compliance with that RFC outcome. If we are going to keep this, someone needs to add that source.@BeanieFan11: Since you are the one who found materials and presumably understand the foreign language materials, please take the time to add a non-database source to the article. Thank you.4meter4 (talk) 13:56, 19 September 2025 (UTC)
