I can't really imagine how it was decided the the founder of The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at New York University, now (several years after the deletion) Dean of the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music is not notable. ("Journalist" is long-outdated as a description, though he was one once.) Article may have been under-cited, or something like that, but he's a pretty heavy hitter. I would think that just founding the Clive Davis Institute (literally a unique institution within American academia) would be enough to make him unquestionably notable, and he is now dean of a department with roughly 1000 students and over 150 faculty members.

Endorse but this was six years ago. If the situation has truly changed you can just remake the article - that doesn't mean the original ruling was wrong. I am also not sure it has changed because per WP:NACADEMIC "Lesser administrative posts (provost, dean, department chair, etc.) are generally not sufficient to qualify under Criterion 6 alone". If he is notable it's surely not for being a journalist so another disamb should probably be used. PARAKANYAA (talk) 04:24, 10 April 2025 (UTC)

• Endorse and encourage re-creation, using the old text as a starting point if desired since there were no allegations of G10-11-12-type content. I don't like the old discussions that much, but they were reasonable for their time and life moves on. I'd actually recommend a new article be written from scratch using current bio principles, inoboxen, etc. Jclemens (talk) 05:22, 10 April 2025 (UTC)
