- Don't know how I missed the double 'from', good work. Amstrad00 (talk) 16:36, 22 May 2025 (UTC)

Can you please add the {{historical}} tag to the top of the page? This page hasn't been updated to include the page views for 2023 and beyond, so unless someone wants to update it, I think it makes sense to do so. Interstellarity (talk) 01:13, 14 July 2025 (UTC)

- Wikipedia:Popular pages → Wikipedia:Popular pages (historical)
- Wikipedia:Top 25 Report → Wikipedia:Popular pages
– Wikipedia:Popular pages should either redirect to Wikipedia:Top 25 Report or be retitled to Wikipedia:Popular pages. The Top 25 Report is a very frequently updated place for Wikipedia's most viewed articles of the week, so I think that changing the focus of the page is good. - Is this suggesting that "Wikipedia:Popular pages should either [some option 1] or be retitled to Wikipedia:Popular pages"? Is some action requested in that second option? — BarrelProof (talk) 01:08, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- Either WP:Popular pages should redirect to the WP:Top 25 Report or WP:Top 25 Report should be retitled to WP:Popular pages. Interstellarity (talk) 09:33, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- No. The Top 25 report has been called the Top 25 report for 13 years. It has been cited as such by multiple outside sources. Changing it would produce nothing but confusion, and likely lead to a decrease in viewership. WP:Popular pages is a distinct article with its own coverage and focus. Serendipodous 21:40, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- I don't think it's a good idea. It's already known as Top 25 report and its more specific than "popular pages". Personisinsterest (talk) 00:10, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
- We might consider redirecting WP:Popular pages to WP:Top 25 Report. Interstellarity (talk) 09:31, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
- What do you have against WP:Popular pages? Serendipodous 10:13, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
- The page hasn't been updated since 2023. If it gets updated again at some point in the future, I might be open to keeping the page intact, but I am hoping that whatever the content of that page is, it is maintained similarly to the Top 25 Report. Interstellarity (talk) 23:58, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
- It's worth updating, not abandoning, and thanks to Interstellarity for bringing attention to the page. Has the coding changed, or updates available in another format? Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 00:23, 19 July 2025 (UTC)

- Oppose per Serendipodous. -insert valid name here- (talk) 17:24, 20 July 2025 (UTC)
- Move WP:Popular pages to WP:Popular pages (historical) and redirect to WP:Top 25 Report. Compromise idea; this page has in fact since dead and nobody is likely to revive it, and at the same time we can keep the distinctive name "top 25 report". * Pppery * it has begun... 15:51, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- Lean support for Perry's proposal to move Wikipedia:Popular pages → Wikipedia:Popular pages (historical) and redirect Wikipedia:Popular pages → Wikipedia:Top 25 Report. Also redirect WP:POPULAR to Top 25 Report. --MYCETEAE 🍄🟫—talk 22:48, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
- As the popular pages page lists articles with the most all-time views, and the top 25 report is a weekly snapshot, I feel the two serve sufficiently distinct purposes that "Wikipedia:Popular pages" shouldn't redirect to "Wikipedia:Top 25 Report", nor should "Wikipedia:Top 25 Report" be renamed to "Wikipedia:Popular pages". isaacl (talk) 03:32, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose: Although, Popular pages and Top 25 report is different. Top 25 Report is for reporting and giving commentary about the the weekly most viewed pages in Wikipedia (which I think that's the purpose). ROY is WAR Talk! 10:39, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
