Winning 2% of vote and 1 seat in parliament does not automatically make a party notable as far as I know. Really need someone who knows about Benin to find good sources. Chidgk1 (talk) 15:45, 29 June 2025 (UTC)

- Keep - 2% of national vote and a seat in national parliament is definitely enough to claim notability. --Soman (talk) 15:51, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- Do you have sources please? Chidgk1 (talk) 16:15, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- WP:ORGSIG is clear that no organization (of which political parties are included) is awarded inherent notability for any reason. A political party having a seat in parliament is certainly a positive indicator that coverage may exist, but is not itself a guarantee in the same way WP:NPOL operates. Curbon7 (talk) 20:43, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- Comment: You need to give at least one source, to show this isn't a hoax. They are very likely notable, but we still need to see they're a real entity. Oaktree b (talk) 22:10, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- Keep Why would this be a hoax?[1][2] While I'd agree that NPOL doesn't explicitly apply to parties, it's more or less implicit that parties are notable when represented in parliaments. That said, in practice small parties with only a single ever MP might be more appropriately merged/redirected to the MP, if they already have an article. Regards,
