Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Disambiguations
This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Disambiguations. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Disambiguations|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Disambiguations. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

[edit]- Palestinian territories (disambiguation) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
As a disambiguation page, it is not appropriate because it does not clearly indicate which articles it is meant to disambiguate. Does it refer to West Bank areas in the Oslo II Accord, Palestine (region), West Bank, Palestine, or United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine? None of these articles are titled "Palestinian territories."
As a broad-concept article, it contains many dubious statements for which I have not been able to find reliable sources. Hassan697 (talk) 17:33, 27 June 2025 (UTC)

- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
Unlikely search term, no idea why we need to inform people that these years are split over two articles. We can then also create disambigs for 1904-1959, or 1920-1999, or any other possible such combination from Category:France national football team results. As far as I can tell, it's not as if this existed but has been split, unlike France national football team results (1921–1959) which has some history. Fram (talk) 08:49, 27 June 2025 (UTC)

- Note from page creator: I have no objection to moving the content of France national football team results (1920–1959) to France national football team results (1921–1959), followed by deletion of the 1920-1959 page. As Fram said, it has some history: a split. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 08:57, 27 June 2025 (UTC)

There are maybe two legit entries, GOAT (sports culture) and The Greatest of All Time. Nearly all of the entries are properly (or, in the case of Ms. G.O.A.T., was improperly) listed in Goat (disambiguation). Clarityfiend (talk) 07:28, 26 June 2025 (UTC)

These disambiguation pages are inherently unworkable. We cannot possibly maintain a listing of every television show covered on Wikipedia with a 10th, 11th, 12th ... or 29th episode as there are, by my unscientific count between 3,080 (for 10) and 1,277 (for 29) of them, which is far too large for a practical disambiguation page. It would probably still be too large even if you were to attempt to limit it to those series whose episodes don't have names. That leaves what is and isn't included here inherently arbitrary, and for each of these numbers there is at most one article titled "Episode XX (SERIESNAME)", which can't support a disambiguation page by itself; for episodes 1 through 9 there are at least two topics that aren't arbitrarily-chosen TV episodes to support a dab, albeit only barely in the case of 9.

- Delete all, per Pppery, and, ironically, Sahaib. Just because something was created doesn't mean it should remain. - Keep: the politician is mentioned in the constituency article, the actor has an article, the fictional character is discussed in the plotline, and there is some value in the kind of article which disentangles people likely to be confused - though the announcer and businessman should really be removed if no-one can find a sourced mention to include them in their target articles. - Keep: Pretty sure that the politician passes WP:NPOL for being elected to the Japanese Diet. For now I added a redirect to the constituency article while I look for enough sources to fill out an article about him, there is a jp article about him but those sources are iffy. This is a straightforward case of WP:TWODABS. There are only 2 pages with the title "Rhede" and the primary topic has a hatnote to the other one. There is no reason to except this page from the guideline that this page is not needed. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 08:29, 22 June 2025 (UTC)

- Meyzenq (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
This disambiguation page is unnecessary. At present, there is only one Wikipedia article referring to an individual with the surname Meyzenq, namely Raymond Meyzenq. The creating editor appears to consider an individual listed on the Salomon Group article to be a notable figure and therefore has created a disambiguation page. However, there is no existing article on this individual to substantiate this claim of notability. Therefore, this disambiguation page should be deleted or be redirected, with CAT:RWP, to the existing article on Raymond Meyzenq, since he is the only person with that surname currently covered on this platform. - @QEnigma But, OK, it might have been helpful if I had pointed that out ! Sorry about that. PamD 11:04, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
- @PamD: I understand your position. However, it would have been preferable to make the alterations through consensus. That was the primary reason this article was listed on AfD forums. Nevertheless, I maintain the view that this article, whether a disambiguation page or a surname-related entry, requires the inclusion of more notable individuals with existing Wikipedia articles in order to be retained. As you are aware, there are numerous senior executives across various notable companies who do not have individual Wikipedia articles on them and are therefore not included in surname-related pages. Thank you for sharing your perspective. Best regards. QEnigma (talk) 11:15, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
- @QEnigma I don't think any specific consensus is needed to remove an incorrect {{tl|dab}} template and add the correct {{tl|surname}} template. The AfD template says "Feel free to improve the article".
- Plenty of CEOs don't have links, plenty do. I've made a redirect from him to the company, and tweaked the dab page accordingly. PamD 16:23, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
