@Bobherry: Ternera is correct. Even if all the recent changes by IPs on this page were vandalism (I didn't check), there haven't been enough to protect right now. The page history shows the following total edits:

• July 16: 1 edit
• July 15: 6 edits
• July 12: 1 edit

The edits before those were back in June. This is not enough to semi-protect, but feel free to ask again if the vandalism becomes unmanageable. -- Auntof6 (talk) 01:15, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

Disruptive and Misleading Edits by HistorianAlferedo and Chronos.Zx on Abhira Article

hello admins, i would like to report two editors - User:HistorianAlferedo and User:Chronos.Zx for repeatedly engaging in disruptive editing on the Abhira article, in violation of several Wikipedia content policies.

Both users are modifying the meaning of cited sources and using them in misleading ways to push their personal viewpoint. They have removed reliably sourced content that was previously added according to WP:V and WP:RS. They are inserting unsourced or poorly sourced claims and personal interpretations, violating WP:OR and WP:NPOV. They have made multiple reverts without engaging in proper talk page discussion, violating WP:CONSENSUS and WP:DISRUPT.

I have observed this IP range on both English Wiki and Hindi Wiki engaging in caste-based warrior-like activity. It was also sanctioned as a sockpuppet range on English Wiki. Chronos.Zx (talk) 04:09, 18 July 2025 (UTC)

@Chronos.Zx: Your response here is a clear case of personal attack and disruption.

Instead of addressing the actual content issues and policy violations raised in this report, you're trying to deflect by making broad, baseless accusations against an entire IP range. This is not how Wikipedia dispute resolution works.

Accusing someone of "caste-based warrior-like activity" without evidence is a violation of WP:NPA (No Personal Attacks).

Claiming sockpuppetry without filing a proper WP:SPI case is unacceptable and misleading. If you believe there’s a behavioral issue, you must provide diffs and follow Wikipedia's official procedure

My edits were based on reliable sources (WP:RS) and written in a neutral tone (WP:NPOV). They were reverted without proper justification that’s the issue being reported here.

I request administrators to take note of this deflective and accusatory behavior, which further confirms the disruptive editing pattern already mentioned above.

The IP you mentioned is part of a broad IPv6 range that includes many users across different regions. Just because a block exists on that range on English Wikipedia does not mean every edit from that range is disruptive.

Also, I have not edited those pages you are referring to. Those edits were made by others using the same large range. It is incorrect to assume all activity in that range is mine.

Castecruft and povpush are not needed on wikipedia pages. Also, reverting them to a non-biased revision is what the contributors are supposed to do. I advise you to avoid such personal attacks and instead of focusing on caste pov push edits better add constructive information on the articles that too along with reliable citations. Your continued disruptive editing on the Abhira article is unacceptable. Your repeated reverts and refusal to engage constructively on the talk page clearly violate Wikipedias core policies on consensus WP:CONSENSUS and avoiding disruptive editing WP:DISRUPT.

Your pattern of removing reliably sourced content and pushing an evident anti-Abhira/Ahir narrative is a blatant violation of Wikipedias Neutral Point of View WP:NPOV policy. GeoGlobe Tales (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) and their presumed IP 73.158.157.41 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) have recreated AumSum four times since it was deleted via RFD at the end of May. They have also created other poor quality articles that have had been QD’d. It may be time for a ONESTRIKE block. They are blocked at En. for disruptive editing and it seems to be continuing here. Just noting that the IP is indeed them as per this and this, I concur with C&W they've had plenty of chances to stop and change their behaviour accordingly but they've failed to do this - instead they've simply continued and gone one step further by editing logged out (which is valid but still deceitful imho).

Derek Spears is blocked indefinitely on English Wikipedia for socking. Spencer2343 is one of the confirmed socks. Derek Spears takes the “we’re roommates!” defense on that connection.

Block by Fr33kman

I don't have time to investigate all the details but I believe Fr33kman blocked NorthernWinds unfairly. There is a statement on this page saying that both NorthernWinds and Polygnotus are given a topic ban related to antisemitism and an interaction ban. After this Polygnotus nominated Antisemitism in Europe for deletion and removed most of the content on this page. They were not blocked for this. Then NorthernWinds responded on the RfD and also pinged Polygnotus on the talk page. Polygnotus mentioned this on Fr33kman's talk page and NorthernWinds got blocked.

Addendum: It seems Fr33kman gave Polygnotus permission to edit that article and respond to Northern Winds per Special:Diff/10405888: "Yes, both are under an interaction ban. Polygnotus had permission to edit the articles he has been editing. And as of now he's no longer under a topic ban, NW is still under a topic ban." but that does not seem fair to me. Other admins should look into this as well.

I am concerned that in responding to this, admins may give more credence to those who are able to write more in response, and NorthernWinds is blocked so they cannot respond. Please be careful not to do that but to investigate the actual situation. canadachick (talk) 15:25, 20 July 2025 (UTC)

Generally speaking when new people edit Wikipedia their 35th edit isn't being outraged about the well-deserved block of another (unrelated) account they have never interacted with (onwiki at least). Especially not one who was banned by enwiki Arbcom for repeated attempts at off-wiki canvassing and coordination in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict topic area. You wrote that does not seem fair to me and it wouldn't be fair if both parties were equally bad to treat them differently. However, that isn't the case here. Polygnotus was specifically told he could edit what he needed to. Both users are still under an interaction ban and only NorthernWinds broke that. I do not believe that I have treated NW unfairly and refused to block him multiple times when Polygnotus asked me to. I only blocked them when they wilfully broke the interaction ban. Refusal to communicate from IP User

Hello! I have made numerous warnings to the IP 2605:59C0:204E:FB08:... for creating categories with less than three members, and yet they have refused to cooperate or discuss. Discussions linked 1, 2, and 3. MrMeAndMrMe_Talk 02:58, 25 July 2025 (UTC)

Hi MrMe. Looking at this, I only found a couple of examples where there were only 2 articles per category. I think it may be best to try to welcome the user and encourage them to create an account. @Harbhajan Piyale: Our rule of thumb for protecting pages is to protect if the level of vandalism is high enough that it's hard to keep up with. That isn't the case here. There have been several incidents in the last few days, but no more than 3 on any one day.

One further note: on User talk:47.31.99.81, you left warning messages of the same level within two minutes. It would be more helpful if the second one had been one level higher than the first one. If/when the warning levels get to level 4 (the final warning), we can block the user if they continue vandalizing. With IPs, the vandalism all has to be within a short amount of time, but it would still help. Thanks. -- Auntof6 (talk) 00:34, 27 July 2025 (UTC)

Victor Ningthemcha - copyright violation concerns

I warned Victor Ningthemcha yesterday regarding copyright violations (we only have 2 levels of copyright warnings and I gave him the 2nd level). They are taking sentences from copyrighted books and lightly rephrasing them. This led to the quick deletion of Ayangba; admin can see my breakdown of the source vs. our text at the since deleted Talk:Ayangba. They are continuing the same pattern today.

At Khunjaoba...

• Our article: During his reign, the continuous flow of migration and settlement of the Muslims was still present starting from his father Khagemba.
• The source: The continuous flow of the Muslim migration and settlement was still there during the reign of King Khunjaoba.
• Our article: He took longing interests in the development of the Khwairamban Bazar and constructed canals and embankments around the bazar.
• The source: ...took keen interests in the development of the Khwairamban Bazar. He constructed canals and embankments around the Khwairamban Bazar
• Our article: When Takhembi and Sarangcha were preparing for war, Sanakhombi, the wife of Khongjomba, a brother of Khunjaoba also joined the war. They had an aggressive battle with the Kuyong tribes. In the end, the Kuyong tribals ran away
• The source: When Takhembi and Sarangcha were preparing for war, Sanakhombi, the wife of Khongjomba, younger brother of Khunjaoba also joined the war. They had a fierce battle with the Kuyong tribes. Ultimately, the Kuyong tribals ran away

Note - These are 3 different sources, not all examples from the same source and they have since expanded the article with even more violations.

At Tonaba:

• Our article: He defeated the Heirem Khunjan and Chairen in the south east and fought against the Marams in the west.
• The source: Tonaba defeated the Heirem Khunjan and Chairen in the south-east. He fought against the Marems (Marams) in the west.

At Heirem Khunja:

• Our article: According to Naorem Sanajaoba, the Heirem-Khunjans migrated from Loklaobung and settled in the Kiri hills in the present-day Bishnupur district of Manipur.
• The source: Heirem Khunjan: They migrated from Loklaobung and settled on Kiri hill (Bishenpur)

Also, with all due respect, I would have sincerely appreciated it if the concerns regarding the article Ayangba were fully explained in the corresponding deletion discussion. Initially, you mentioned only that one source did not reference Ayangba by name, and that the other source merely presented a table with reign lengths, which I responded to with further clarifications. However, the issue of copyright related to content from the Internet Archive was brought up later, and it was also cited as a reason in your second warning concerning my page List of Angom kings.

The "second reason" wasn't provided because I didn't know a copyright issue existed because I couldn't find the subject in the book with the spelling you provided in the article. I leave that up to admin to decide. Copyright is a big deal on Wikipedia, and based on the pattern I’ve highlighted here, this wasn’t just a one time issue. There are many articles impacted by your actions, and the copyright violations still exist in the article histories even after you’ve edited them. CountryANDWestern (talk) 13:11, 27 July 2025 (UTC)

You rewrite the information from the source in your own words and cite where that information came from. What you have been doing is changing one or two words while keeping the same sentences. While, yes, there are some basic facts where there are really a couple of ways to say (like “He was born in 1932 in London”), the things you added were not in that category. And please note, you need to make sure YOU are rewriting it. Do not use an AI tool to rewrite it for you. CountryANDWestern (talk) 13:27, 27 July 2025 (UTC)

I believe so. Even if they’ve edited the articles, the copyright issues are still in the history. This might not be a “big deal” for the couple of articles where it was just a sentence added to an existing article, but Khunjaoba is founded on copyright violations only so it may need deletion. I also defer to admin as to whether or not further or sterner conversation needs to be had with the user. I’m not sure they’ve fully understood what the issue was and why it’s a concern. (I assume you feel like they’ve adequately “gotten the point”, Griff, since you’re wondering if admin action is needed at this point). CountryANDWestern (talk) 18:48, 27 July 2025 (UTC)

The {{underconstruction}}-template is not meant to be on pages for days. I just did some regular clean up and removed several such templates. The template is meant to give a few hours to get edits done. Furthermore, articles in our main space should generally only be published when they are actually ready. If you need more time to get an article ready for main space, then create it in your userspace as subpage and move it over when the article is in a suitable state. This is clearly not ready and you correctly moved it to your userspace after my edits. -Barras talk 10:20, 28 July 2025 (UTC)

As a general statement to the copyright infringement. I deleted Ayangba as copyvio some days ago. However, since the above named articles have been rewritten, there is no need to (completely) delete them now. I couldn't find an explicit rule regarding revision deletion. I'd be more inclined to revdel, if it had been an exact copy. That isn't the case here. On that point, I see no further action required.

Vandal on Comic book

Hello! A vandal has been removing manga from the comic book article since 1st September 2024. Problem is: they keep using different IP addresses (at some point they used an account too, whose username I won't say here for privacy reasons, as we can't link IPs and accounts), the long kind of IPs starting with 2001/2804/etc, so by the time I noticed their vandalism, they had already changed IP address and I couldn't warn them in the traditional way. I have no way to prove it's the same person, but it's a duck. en:Comic book clearly talks about manga and other East Asian comics and we already have a page for American comic books, so their edits are opinionated vandalism (they even admitted it's opinionated vandalism, also here, here and here, etc). I'll be honest, I don't really remember what we do in cases like that, so I am writing here just in case. If I remember correctly, the page isn't protected when there is only one vandal, but who do I report to VIP if I can't warn them on time? I can't. I hope you are having an amazing day! Hey there. If the vandalism comes from different IPs, we can protect the page. You can report vandalism at WP:VIP or via IRC/discord. I've just blocked the latest account. If they come back with different IPs, come back here and ask for a page protection. Otherwise, just report the user to VIP. POV pusher user

Hello dear admins, a user name @HistorianAlferedo hijacking the page Pratihar Gurjars, i recovered the fair revision 10261823 by @Fr33kman but HistorianAlferedo reverted my edit and wrote Rajput in place of Gurjar in Pratihar Gurjars page whereas a separate article named Pratihar Rajputs has been created for Rajputs. HistorianAlferedo is a Rajput POV pusher. HistorianAlfredo is targeting me again and again. He goes to the talks of Fr33kman and keeps complaining about me unnecessarily. Please stop this Rajput POV pusher. You can see that Historianalfredo had redirected the article named Tomar (Jat clan) because Tomar is also a Rajput clan, that is why this user had redirected to Tomar (Jat clan). This guy is a big Rajput POV pusher. You can see that Category:Ahir clans category was also redirected by Historianalfredo without any reason but later @CountryANDWestern reverted the edit made by Historianalfredo. dear admins you can also see the history of Parihar caste, even in that the Guardian of Rajputs, historianalfredo removed Gurjar and let Rajput remain written. There is 'No Neutral Point of View ' by Historianalfredo. It can also be seen on Tomar clan that how my edit was reverted by Historianalfredo without any good reason. On Tomar clan, I had removed three sources namely Drishtiias.com, testbook.com and byjus.com which are neither reliable sources nor news agencies but this edit of mine was also reverted by Historianalfredo without any reason. To understand him you can see all his edits, just by seeing his edits you will understand how big a Rajput POV pusher Historianalfredo is. Thank you all of the admins and members. Hi, global filter 222 does not allow empty page creations, but local filter 19 only tags short new articles. I would suggest adding this to filter 19 so that both filters do not overlap:

RFPP Khatana

Hello admins, I request you to protect the Khatana article because a new user named VikRagnarr has come who created a Wikipedia id today and is deleting the infobox on the Khatana page without any reason. I have given him warnings several times but it is making no difference. He is behaving exactly like @HistorianAlferedo. Today itself the id of HistorianAlfredo was blocked by Fr33kman and after that he created an id named VikRagnarr, now that new id is vandalising the pages.
