Twinkle RfD issue

I don't know who updates Twinkle or how the code is stored, but I'd like to suggest a change to the RfD creation module. When subsequent RfD's are started for the same article in the same year, they will be created with a qualifier such as "(2nd nomination)". This leads to a mistaken link to the article (e.g. Special:PermanentLink/10112022). It's a minor issue and doesn't come up often, but could the code be altered to only use the name of the article in the {{lc}} template? There hasn't been enough activity to protect. The rule of thumb is that we protect when there's so much vandalism that it's hard to keep up with. I don't see that level right now.

My account User:MD Edit 123 has an account in Simple English Wikipedia and linked to other WikiProjects but it is not linked with Main Wikipedia English. Please help how to also make edit from same account.

Hi @Raayaan9911, The language isn't bad enough that it needs to be revision deleted and it's only in the Sandbox not in an article.

It seems that the range Special:Contributions/2603:9000:8200:34::/64 keeps making articles related to children's TV shows without context, usually just consisting of lists with no explanation of what they're about. Unfortunately I can't tell if they have made any pages that have been deleted before. However, I do see that "Elmo's World Birthday Party Marathon" says "recreated". Because it's an IPv6, the individual IP address keeps changing, so I don't know how one would leave appropriate warnings for them. Your first post was saying how that article would likely survive AFD and then proceed to say "i do not support starting AfD" - So why bother posting that message if A) it's not up for RFD and B) you have no intention of going to RFD?,
Your second post I believe is you stating there's something wrong with the article grammar-wise and then you proceed to say and I quote "Good luck (while i do easier fixes in other articles)",

  • The fixes seem much easier than the whole discussion here. It's alright to point out the errors in the talk page; but it is unlikely to get response anytime soon as we don't have a substantial number of editors to frequently monitor all of them.     I've also restored one of the IPs comments at Talk:Grignard_reaction as having reflected and thought on this more - the IP is more or less using the talkpage for its intended purpose (even if the wording is off), I just don't see how its helpful saying "this needs fixing but i'm not going to fix it" but on the other hand in 2-10 years time someone may come across it and fix whatever the issue was I suppose, Anyway I'll continue reverting where necessary but messages from this IP that are actually helpful I'll leave (such as fixes, issues etc. AFD messages and the alike may be reverted), Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 11:04, 17 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]


There are a bunch of problems with user:Davey2000, doing any Delete of talk-pages.--1) The least concern, is that one or more users are thinking/saying that he should not become an admin, a minute sooner than 6 months from now. (He has also later concluded that there have been some errors in his ways. So, the middle of September, should be a point of no-earlier-than, in my view at least.)

Well that's a lie; You reverted me which lead to me being notified, and you're now claiming in the edit summaries my edits are vandalism which they're quite clearly not.
Viewers of that talkpage don't need to know whether "this page would likely pass RFD" and that "i do not support starting AfD", they also don't need to know that "The wikipedia started by Jimbo Wales, does not allow vandalism of talk pages.--Vandalism now reverted" .....

A) From what I can make out you're saying if the article was nominated for deletion, it would be kept anyway,

Hello! i realised that the articles on the Simple English Wikipedia has no protection except for the Main Page, some templates, and others. The articles on the normal Wikipedia are protected but in this version of Wikipedia are not. How about protecting even more articles like for example:

The article about the planet Mercury should be protected against vandalism. Or the article about Philosophy should be protected in case of vandalism.

I know that the Simple English Wikipedia has less users and less likely that vandalism will happen, but that does not mean the Simple English Wikipedia has no vandalism, the Simple English Wikipedia has vandalism, but the Wikipedia admins and bots are working to fight against vandalism. I also don't like vandalism, but i never seen someone vandalising the articles that i created. If this message is seen by the Wikipedia administrators, that means protect more articles.

I don't support vandalism on Wikipedia and my goal is to stop vandals on the Simple English Wikipedia.

Mohammad Safoyan Hossain was deleted earlier today after the RFD at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2025/Mohammad Safoyan Hossain closed as delete. The creator, Dohaqatar974 (talk · contribs) didn't take this too well, recreating the page three times today before Peterdownunder protected it [7]. A new user, Peter974 (talk · contribs) has stepped up and created the same nonsense at Mohammad Safoyan Hossain. (a period at the end? Noooooo) and at Mohammad Safoyan. MathXplore has a RFCU open for the two editors, but would an admin mind deleting the two new junk articles? Good faith editors have already reviewed them and probably not knowing the history started RFD's on them. Alas, you are suffering from the same widespread hoaxery that the English Wikipedia has suffered from since 2023. See en:Project:Articles for deletion/Alexander Lukison and the prior deletion discussions there.

It's being done on Fandom as well. I have no idea which of them is writing more accurate things, but the IPs were writing comments in another language. I looked on Google translate, and they are saying offensive things in Hindi. There is a user:@Durjan Singh Jadon who’s constantly observed focusing on Indian subcontinent caste based pages, reverting and editing contents of various pages ignoring the caste based pov push on them. Moreover i previously advised the user to add unbiased information only but my note was ignored and the user continues to do the same.
