Review the articles created by User:श्रीराम खड्का

User:श्रीराम खड्का has created multiple articles simultaneously, all of which have been generated by an LLM and are devoid of references, while those that have been included are inconsistent. Additionally, complex words have been used. I have tagged them with the {{AI-notice}}. Review the articles User:श्रीराम खड्का has created, and I think they should be deleted. Zjui3r (talk) 19:28, 2 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

User notified, most articles deleted for various policy issues. A couple of the others do not qualify for QD, but should be cleaned up. Thank you for noticing these articles and noting them. Griff (talk) 14:40, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Special:Contribs/162.156.70.174 is using AI/LLM to write all their articles and comments. 2601:644:907E:A70:85FF:1340:9A1E:D909 (talk) 20:45, 2 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The discussion at Talk:2025 United States trade war with Canada and Mexico is just crazy. The ip is replying to themself, repeatedly, all AI generated. Ravensfire (talk) 21:18, 2 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Blocked for a year to give time for AI to further develop and realise how not to talk to itself. Griff (talk) 13:54, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Could an admin please reply to the message left by Mooresklm2016 at File:Fotor-2024041210012.png? The page should be deleted, but before that's done, communication should be started with that user. 2601:644:907E:A70:E489:BBF9:E45D:3FF (talk) 00:26, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Mohammed uzzal miah

The following users at Mohammed uzzal miah, Talk:Mohammed uzzal miah, and Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2025/Mohammed uzzal miah should be blocked for violating WP:ONESTRIKE.

This is because User:Rukbv64bnn has changed other people's comments at the rfd (and they are already blocked on English Wikipedia).

They have admitted that User:Hbbbbbbkmnnnbb and User:Radikanardi also belong to them. 69.222.191.67 (talk) 22:11, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have indeffed the main account. Where did they state that the other accounts were also theirs? -- Auntof6 (talk) 22:43, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Auntof6 In these edits: [1]. They said "I want to clarify that both accounts were created by me" and also made the same comment from another account. 69.222.191.67 (talk) 22:44, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I am not a checkuser, so I will let the checkuser process handle the others. -- Auntof6 (talk) 22:45, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Nautica Malone

Would an admin mind looking into semi-protecting the article? It seems to be collecting more than a few trolls today and there are BLP issues given this is about a recent suicide. Ravensfire (talk) 15:22, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ravensfire, it looks to have calmed down some. I have added the article to my watchlist and will protect if vandalism becomes an issue again. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. Griff (talk) 13:53, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Appreciated. Ravensfire (talk) 14:07, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request move of template

Please move Template:For multi to Template:For-multi over the page that exists at the latter title. (Please move the doc page too.) The template has been moved at enwiki and new articles transferred from enwiki will likely use the latter title. 166.107.163.31 (talk) 23:00, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

TTYDDoopliss

After being blocked for WP:NOTHERE and revealed as a sock of user WhereverWeAreNow on the English Wikipedia, this user has migrated to Simple English Wikipedia to continue making disruptive edits that led to the block on enwiki in the first place.

  • Removal of sourced content, WP:NPOV violation in edit summary: [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7]
  • Removal of image with a WP:NPOV-violating edit summary: [8], compare [9] (edit summary removed for severe BLP violations)

Per the WP:ONESTRIKE rule, TTYDDoopliss should be also blocked from this wiki indefinitely. theinstantmatrix (talk) 15:44, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for bringing it to our attention. I have blocked the user per ONESTRIKE. Griff (talk) 16:01, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Protection request

Hi, Could someone protect Maan (caste) and Chandel please as there's an edit war between 2 IPs,

I'm assuming 103.46.201.212 is correct in removing the content as the person that keeps adding the content has been doing so under different IPs and an account, Thanks –Davey2010Talk 17:15, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

*heavy sigh* Thanks Davey, both articles are now semi-protected. If you notice edit warring on any other caste articles, please let us know. Griff (talk) 17:37, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hey @Griffinofwales, No worries and okay will do - I've pretty much ignored whatever they were doing on the caste articles but 103s edit summaries caught my eye and yeah didn't want the wrong person blocked, Anyway no worries thanks for actioning this, Many thanks, Warm Regards, –Davey2010Talk 18:26, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

RD1 request

(Please let me know if there's a better way to request RD1s here.) Boreas and Zephyrus both need cv redaction. While I'm at it, there are a number of articles by W;ChangingUsername that are copied from the NHS website. The text has been removed already, but it should also be RD1'd. Since most of their articles were created before they were warned about this, I expect the issue affects all of them. I got here via Copypatrol dinging Chlorphenamine. -- asilvering (talk) 05:13, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I started making a list of the articles by this editor that need revdel, but actually, they're all QD candidates, looks like. So you can save your erasers (and use dynamite instead). I know none of them look like much right now, but if you don't QD them, you'd have to a) rewrite the stub and b) revdel most of the history anyway. But there's still a bit of eraser-work to do:
Sorry in advance about your erasers. -- asilvering (talk) 06:26, 2 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Some more:
  • Allergy, everything from their first edit on 2 June up to my edit
  • Diazepam, everything from their 1 July edit to Davey2010's first edit
  • Abdominal pain, everything from their first 1 June edit up to my edit
  • Hyperthyroidism, everything from their 12:22 edit on May 29 (ie, including the edit "Symptoms final" but not the two previous ones) up to my edit - this is from a variety of sources, incl [14], [15], possibly some non-NHS stuff (copypatrol dings [16])
asilvering (talk) 21:02, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I didn't mean to do any more, but: Special:Diff/9548231 onward copies from [17]. -- asilvering (talk) 05:35, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Kelly299 and 93.182.105.236 - block request

So Kelly299 creates an account and immediately replaces images of tanks with Turkish ones and then starts replacing pizza images with Turkish pizzas as well as removing "Greek" from types of Pizzas[20][21][22]

Two minutes later 93.182.105.236 joins in in the edit war removing the same content[23][24][25][26],

In the edit war Kelly has claimed the content is racism and the IP is claiming "keeping Greek instead of Turkish is nationalist POV",

The IP has also made previous Greek-to-Turkish replacements:[27],

I'm assuming Kelly is the IP and I'm assuming the IP is an LTA or someone, Anyway could these be blocked please, Thanks –Davey2010Talk 16:32, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Davey2010 the IP has been blocked already but Auntof6. Things were turning heated on a simple article, I was to the point of edit war was happening between me and the IP. User:103.46.201.212 edit warring as an identical spammer of User:HistorianAlferedo

It difficult to understand but this user which i tried to pinged first in the place have ruthlessly making an WP:Bad faith editorial styled quorums over every subordinate article letted with Jats clan such as [28] [29] [30] with some other related contentment while keep blanking the subliminal information related to Jat (caste) and miserably quoting Semi nomadic and other disgraceful term such as rural community while alleging his WP:Sock connection with an master account of User:HistorianAlferedo 2409:40D6:10E7:8EFF:48EF:1822:740D:E69F (talk) 07:20, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have semi-protected the page for 3 months until a discussion can be held. Please bring your concerns to the talk page for further discussion. Griff (talk) 13:47, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The edit done by this user seems more like a castecruft and povpush. Moreover, some of the information added was hate speech for two other communities of the Indian subcontinent. Also, the citations added by the user were irrelevant and raj-era sources. I request the user to add correct information along with better citations that too without ill-statements about the people belonging to some some other race, tribe, etc. Thank you HistorianAlferedo (talk) 14:19, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

tampering of pages listing coups d'etat and attempts

On the articles “list of coups and coup attempts by country”, “list of coups and coup attempts” and “list of coups and coup attempts since 2010”  a user by the name tgeorgescu (and possibly a few others) has been editing the articles to claim some some very recent political events are indeed coups, as well as some historical events, even tho there is nothing to corroborate these claims.

These include:

The 2019 Bolivian political crisis

The Romanian Revolution

The Abkhazian Revolution

Euromaidan

Claims by Serb Prime minister Vucic that there was a coup against him in 2024

Claims by Slovak Prime minister Fico of a coup against him

The 2024 Bangladesh Revolution

Coup allegations in Georgia

Accusations that the president of Romania is doing a self coup

All of these edits seem to be done for the purpose of a specific political agenda. I talked to Georgescu about his inclusion of Euromaidan, stating that it was a common argument of russian propagandists to paint it that way. he responded by claiming a revolution and coup are the same thing. I childishly responded by telling him to fuck off and that he was a tankie (disgraceful on my part). He kept repeating his claims in response.

A few days Before I learned of Georgescu’s edits, I noticed some vandalism of these articles, and then uprgraded the protection level for the last two articles I mentioned before. This has not worked. I contacted a user named Vrotsky who thanked me for an edit the other day, about the situation. He said the following:

"Hello, dear user. Yes, I've noticed the addition of controversial content to the various coup d'état wikilists - and it's much worse than it seems. These lists are recently receiving massive edits by IP users and sockpuppets. And it goes far beyond Euromaidan - they've added content about the Arab Spring revolutions, the 2000s-2010s 'Color Revolutions' and modern protests to the list. I'm one of the users who is trying to preserve the page's neutrality, but a lot of content was added in a short time. Well, there are several ways to combat vandalism on Wikipedia. In this case, you can use the WP:Coup argument or start a session on the article's talk page. If you suspect a user is making disruptive edits or vandalism, you can report them. A common behavior of this type of user is to reinsert deleted content without providing an explanation."

Another problematic user is Cobra Portuga, who is making the same sort of edits and only replies in Portugese when questioned about this.

I request that Georgescus and Cobra Portugals edits in general be reviewed, and for them to be banned. Sorry about the wall of text Bird244 (talk) 00:07, 10 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am not requesting that CheckUser be used here, though. Acalitri was blocked more than 90 days ago, and so were all of their sockpuppets that I could find. That means the result would just be "stale". I think the behavior alone is enough to prove that it's the same person. jlwoodwa (talk) 09:08, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thats what checkusers do, they check if the accounts are sockpuppets. Cactus🌵 spiky 09:09, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The information used by the CheckUser extension is only kept for 90 days, as required by foundation:Legal:Wikimedia Foundation Data Retention Guidelines § How long do we retain non-public data? Suggest protecting Gulf of Mexico and Gulf of America

This has already been discussed on the talk page (Talk:Gulf of Mexico). Many editors think that the title has to be Gulf of America just because the official name changed in the US. That reasoning has been rejected and people don't seem to realize that Wikipedia is not a USA-Wikipedia where titles can be determined by whatever the President of the United States decides. 205.154.244.130 (talk) 22:43, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Requests

Hi! Could you:

  • Indefinitely protect User:Magnolioideae and delete all her subpages (except for the archives, as I want to keep them standing)
    • Also, she is me, just to clear up any confusion. However, the account is inactive
  • Revdel this diff as it's disturbing and meets the second criterion.
  • Revdel the disturbing edits by this IP as they are always inserting content that meets the revdel's second criteria.

Thank you. ⯎ Asteralee ⯎ 15:18, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request of protection of Wikipedia:Change filter mistakes

i think you all should protect the Wikipedia:Change filter/Mistakes page mainly because frequent vandalism occurs there and the reason why i said the change filter mistake on simple talk its because i am scared of being a victim of vandalism due to frequent vandalism there so i hope you all understand. 179.109.143.137 (talk) 22:06, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I agree the vandalism on there is atrocious (and I've now deleted this) however protecting it stops legitimate reports like this one from being posted.
Regarding not posting on Simple talk; This noticeboard has got 2k views yesterday and 3k on Thursday .... your talkpage can be vandalised no matter where you post ?.... –Davey2010Talk 23:14, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am a same person in 3 accounts. It is not letting me do anything on my main page by two accounts (User:Philippe the VIIIIIII) and (User:Louis XI of France). Louis XI of France (talk) 09:15, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You cannot edit a different user's user page. Only administrators can do that. Griff (talk) 01:32, 16 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have 3 accounts. Philippe the VIIIIIII (talk) 01:59, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That is understood (although I do not understand why you need that many). There is a technical limitation to editing another user's user page. If you want to edit the user page of a different account you control, you must switch accounts and use the account for which the user page belongs. Griff (talk) 02:06, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I am in another country for a vacation with 2 IPads but they are in 2 different places, 30 minutes between, so that is why I have 3 accounts, @Louis XI of France is retired until I come back. My password's are autogenerated so I do I copy and paste it? Philippe the VIIIIIII (talk) 03:24, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It seems like it would be easier to log in on the same account on all devices. Either way, this does not require administrator attention. Griff (talk) 12:43, 17 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

User deletes comments per own viewpoint

Hello.

[Talk:Nikola Tesla: Difference between revisions - Wikipedia]

This is getting out of hand. Are admins allowed to delete comments without any questions asked?

My comment is isn't trolling. I didn't even write it , I've just copy-pasted what others have said in the previous discussion where he was present and had no problems with those comments back then.

Wikipedia is for all, and not for admins to push their POV without any questions asked.

I'm not even supporting an opposite viewpoint here from his own and now he's calling me a troll? Admins shouldn't be above Wikipedia rules and this is an obvious breach of Wikipedia quidelines. 78.1.126.217 (talk) 21:31, 20 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

12 hour block, or block from mainspace

Hanteng X8. Suggestion, give the user a 12-hour block or longer.--Still creating articles that are not ready to publish.--Or block from mainspace, and then can forward articles thru talk page.--Current justification for QD: Not ready for publishing. Not okay. Does not have the bare minimum of what is needed, to stay published.--Serial offender, it seems: Partial copy NOT already given back to s/he who started the 'article'. 2001:2020:351:CADD:25E8:2069:35C0:90C0 (talk) 09:31, 20 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

2001 obviously has an axe to grind for some weird reason - 179.109.143.218s articles aren't perfect but they need help and guidance .... not 12 hours blocks over things they've not been told about, I will say in 179s defence their articles are a lot better than what they used to be (although agreed still not perfect).
@Fr33kman, Just wondering if Hanteng X8 should have been deleted as it currently has an article at en:Hanteng X8, I don't know what the article looked like but I'd be happy to fix it accordingly, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 17:53, 20 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Davey2010 - no axe to grind, LOL.--If i contact your talk-page, and mention some articles - and if the number of messages are not to your taste, then all you have to say is "stop writing on my page, thank you".--I hope to contact your page, within say a week.--I will try to resist being suckered into discussions on this page, which is mainly for admin business.--If this post is viewed as polite, then fine. 2001:2020:313:8B04:2D97:D952:26C0:46E2 (talk) 19:12, 21 February 2025 (UTC) /2001:2020:313:8B04:2D97:D952:26C0:46E2 (talk) 19:13, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
"I will try to resist being suckered into discussions on this page, which is mainly for admin business" - ANI isn't just about banhammers and that's it .... there is some level of discussion and opposition to be expected especially when you're requesting a 12 hour block for someone whom you've not helped, guided or even warned.
Simple is under-read/viewed, under-edited and under-staffed .... lets not start banning good faith people. –Davey2010Talk 20:42, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I would recommend, Davey, leaving block discussions on AN to administrators. Comments like I will have you blocked for disrupting the project, are unlikely to look good on you.
We aren't going to give out unfair blocks simply because someone requested one. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 11:34, 22 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I would recommend Lee, not replying in discussions you've clearly not thoroughly read through.
We aren't going to give out unfair blocks simply because someone requested one - So explain to me which part of "I will be going further down the user's changes list, to look for stong QD candidates" is not disrupting the project?, In this specific context; the IP has come here, demanded another IP be blocked for 12 hours for something they've not been warned about, and then proceeded to say "I will be going further down the user's changes list, to look for stong QD candidates" - If that's not targeted bullying/harassment and project disruption then I don't know what is.
Lastly Lee, I don't care what people think of me, believe you me I really don't care, I don't say or do things based on "whether people will like me" or for popularity votes, I say or do things because that's how I feel or because I care strongly about something.
Also I should point out there has been plenty of times where I've wanted to comment here but have chosen not too because I'd sticking my nose in where it's not wanted .... not the case here when 179 and I have been discussing articles etc. –Davey2010Talk 12:52, 22 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
hey guys look i will have to retire myself from editing because of 2001's authoritarism and because of this in that day of him being authoritarian and quick deleting my articles i litteraly cried so much that day but i am good now also i will only read articles from now on so yeah it was good editing here.
Davey2010 good luck with your contribuitions best regards and 2001 if you are reading this even though you were authoritarian with me just because some parts of my articles are copied from en wiki i know my articles are not perfect anyways happy editing and have a nice day. 179.109.143.218 (talk) 14:17, 22 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If the articles meet our deletion policy, they should be nominated for RFD. If the articles need improvement, they can be improved by anyone. If the user needs mentoring, feel free to do so or reach out to the user directly and advise they get a peer review at Simple Talk. None of the previous actions require action from an administrator and all are preferred to a block. If, after all that, we still have an issue, please bring it up here. Ruby Bridges, 159.191.182.1, and LucTheDuke444

Ruby Bridges has been repeatedly vandalised, mostly by 159.191.182.1, who has been blocked before for this. Today they vandalized this page more, and got several warnings, including a final warning. After this, the new account LucTheDuke444 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) was created, and vandalised the same page. I believe it's obviously the same user, and I suggest that admins either protect the page, or block the IP and the account. TagUser (talk) 22:34, 27 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I warned BK 8 days ago regarding the lack of edit summaries which went ignored (and they've since continued not using edit summaries). They were also warned about this last year, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 01:49, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
IP user, have you asked BigKrow to explain those edits? -- Auntof6 (talk) 04:56, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Auntof6, I mean to be fair the IP shouldn't have too ?.... Everyone should be told why they're being reverted otherwise how are they expected to make their second change differently/correctly? ...... –Davey2010Talk 11:11, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry BigKrow (talk) 18:48, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I won't revert edits anymore just will add no source or one source tags. BigKrow (talk) 18:51, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@BigKrow No one's saying you can't revert people, you just need to provide an edit summary, –Davey2010Talk 19:27, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good, I most certainly will! Thank you. @Davey2010: BigKrow (talk) 22:28, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Block IP and delete creations request

Hi, Could someone block 66.216.210.4 and delete their creations please as they're either copyvios from websites or Enwiki, They're removing QDs hence this request, Thanks, Warm Regards, –Davey2010Talk 21:51, 28 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Done by MathXplore, Thanks MathXplore much appreciated, Thanks, Warm Regards, –Davey2010Talk 00:06, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

User:Davey2010 made a mistake (in my view)

The main reason that i mention this, is so that he does not revert my new post (at Simple Talk), by 'whim et cetera'.

He has claimed "harassment" of other user.
Diff,
simple.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3A179.109.143.218&diff=10099717&oldid=10099701
The last thread, was actually an attempt at mentoring-of-sorts, but only one-line/sentence at a time.--Note: i have no intention of 'mentoring any articles' that are not ready to stay published in mainspace.--If that offer of mentoring, was not good enough, then i will not stop anyone from making a different offer on their own behalf (while i am busy fixing other articles). 2001:2020:347:A2A3:5C3E:DCB6:28C3:24A1 (talk) 04:08, 25 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Davey2010: courtesy ping. -- Auntof6 (talk) 08:54, 25 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping, Indeed I told the IP to stop harassing another user which imho is what's happening now, As I said in the message; the IP has repeated their point in the ANI thread, RFD nomination, various talkpages and now that users talkpage,
What I can't fathom out is why this IP desperately wants 179 blocked and why all of 179s creations must either be deleted or redirected, I've repeatedly said "179s articles are not perfect and need work doing to them" but I don't see how deleting them or redirecting them is in any way beneficial to the project ?,
Also going off on a tangent for a minute - the IP has made comments such as "Note: i am busy fixing a few articles (but not about cars)"[34] and "that is not my cup of tea"[35] .... so if they have no interested in cars or fixing car articles why all the drama?,
Are 179s articles really that problematic and I'm just not seeing the severity of the situation here ?, Again I've always agreed their articles are poor and need work doing to them but again imho they're not delete-worthy (which surely is evidenced by the fact an admin had qd-declined one of their articles[36]?),
That all being said If an admin believes my harassment message was wrong or that the IP should be allowed to continue beating the same drum then sure I'll step back, There's helping someone and then there's creating block threads on them, spamming 8-15 article talkpages with the same message, repeating the message in the RFD and then more or less repeating the same message on their talkpage. (179 has stated here they're taking a break so I don't understand why 2001 can't just fix the articles or failing that ask at WP:Simple talk?), But like I said maybe I'm the problem here and I'm just not seeing it..... –Davey2010Talk 10:36, 25 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
look davey2010 i think the reason why he is doing this was due to the now deleted VinFast article that has copied content from en wiki and due to this he now thinks the other articles all have copied content from en wiki so i think this the reason and as you saw at simple talk he tries everything he could to delete/redirect the articles (also i agree with you that the car articles are not perfect but they can be fixed) even though as you explained a admin had qd declined one of their articles anyways good luck with your contribuitions best regards. 179.109.143.167 (talk) 23:30, 25 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well it could be a plethora of reasons but coming here everyday playing "Guess the reason" won't achieve much and it doesn't help improve and build the encyclopedia for our readers which is the main reason why we're all here.
The IP has since stopped so I don't see a reason to continue this.
If 2001 has a problem with the articles they can either fix them or go to WP:Simple Talk and seek help there. This will be my final reply on the matter. Happy editing, Thanks, Warm Regards, –Davey2010Talk 00:22, 26 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

"desperately wants 179 blocked ... 10:36, 25 February"? There has been a single suggestion, using the phrase "Suggestion:". (That suggestion was turned down, immediately, and user activities started abating, as in the rate of clueless articles, diminished rapidly)--Also, to me, it looks like the article-creator (or the person using A.I. text-generating program), is clueless, regarding English.--In addition, it looks like there are two voices: The second "voice" is a stand-in for use on talk-pages.--A question: do some users stay away from controversial user's articles, even when they have been stubified? Yeah, some (or many) might.--None of these "non-nuked" articles, are likely to get any free work out of me.--The way forward? No one can be bothered with working for free on most of this group of messy articles (with seemingly no input from humans) - however, if censoring of talk-pages (and blanking thereof), is left alone, then someone will come along and take articles to AfD. Thereafter articles will get Delete, or have someone take pity over an individual article.--There is a fair chance, that i will be on the talk-pages of some (or most) of the relevant article talk-pages.--C. everything has been said at Simple Talk, and in this thread. 2001:2020:347:C6D3:483E:5BF6:D8EE:B0C5 (talk) 03:18, 2 March 2025 (UTC) /original poster[reply]

@TagUser: When you see something like that, please revert it and warn the user. I have just done one revert and left a warning about it. If the warnings escalate to a final warning, please report at WP:VIP. Thanks. -- Auntof6 (talk) 04:07, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Non-English-language text category

Would it be a good idea to replace all entries in Category:Articles containing non-English-language text with {{Non-English-language text category}}? That's how they're being created recently, but before they were created using a different template. On enwiki they all use {{Non-English-language text category}}. If so, can an admin do this using AWB? 71.202.215.54 (talk) 21:12, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

That way the categories will be hidden too. 71.202.215.54 (talk) 21:59, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Category move request

Please move Category:Organizations in New York City to Category:Organizations based in New York City, because most of the entries are not limited to New York City. That will also match enwiki. 71.202.215.54 (talk) 21:35, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

 Done blocked for 1 week. MathXplore (talk) 11:45, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

On the 9th Feb, I copypasted Toula Gordillo to their sandbox as the page was up for deletion,

On the 10th Feb, Unbeknown to me they created a new account and the same article at a different name.

On the 2 March, I G6 QD'd their sandbox as no one has edited it and I felt it just serves as a backup article that they can copypaste to different names,

The QD was declined on the basis that "unable to find records that Syed was evading a block at the time of the page's creation"

I wanted to seek opinions on whether the QD decline was correct. Whilst I agree they weren't socking before the creation.... they were socking after and they created the article 2 more times at 2 different locations .... so I don't see why we should honor this sock by keeping this as like I say it just serves as a backup?,

Thanks, Warm Regards, –Davey2010Talk 12:05, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see how keeping the page would be "honouring" the sock. If that is the case then we should probably delete User:MidAtlanticBaby's userspace as their even more blocked.- FusionSub (Talk page) (Contributions) 17:59, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Also P.S @Davey2010 since I was the admin that declined the QD I probably should've been notified when this topic was made.- FusionSub (Talk page) (Contributions) 18:01, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@FusionSub, But MABs userpage was created as a blank page, it's not a sandbox that can be used to spam this project again and again?, If MAB had a sandbox I'd be advocating to delete that too,
My sincere apologies I thought I had pinged you, I had rewritten this message after I wrote it out and somehow forgot to reinclude your name back so my sincere apologies for this, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 18:20, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
With MAB I was more going for the userspace and not just their user page. As for Syed most vandals like them already have a local copy instead of simply copying it from another (presumably more hidden) userspace page. While I won't argue if another admin sees it deletion-worthy but I simply see no point in deleting the page.- FusionSub (Talk page) (Contributions) 18:36, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oh no sorry I knew that they'd have a local copy offline, I just don't see any point in keeping something that will never be edited again and has never been edited since creation ?, in my head given that they're now a sock (appreciate they wasn't at the time of creation) and given it's never been edited and never will be to me there's more of a reason to delete, How does this (advertisement) sandbox and its content benefit Wikipedia ?, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 11:36, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Article protection request

Hi, Could someone protect Dersim Ambush (2007) and Operation Kurojaro (2025) please as the creator keeps removing the RFDs from them on IPs, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 18:17, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks @FusionSub, Could I please ask why Dersim Ambush (2007) wasn't protected ?, Both articles have consistently had the tags/templates removed by the creator so I don't understand why one article and not the other ?, Thanks, Warm Regards, –Davey2010Talk 19:02, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Rapta999 and WP:OWN

Rapta999 (talk · contribs) is trying to WP:OWN on Operation Kurojaro (2025) and I'm looking for some admin help. The article is sourced to a churnalism / press release from a militant group, has a fair amount of unsourced and not exactly neutral text plus references to an unrelated attack just shoved in. Remove unsourced commanders [37], they get added back.[38]. Add tags because of the state of the article [39], they're removed.[40] They're comment on my talk page makes it clear they aren't likely to change Stop deleting pages its my page.[41] This is contentious topic on en wiki and clearly there's some spillover here happening (see this RFCU for example). I've only left a couple of notes on their page plus a rather unhelpful discussion on my talk page, but I think bringing this here early is needed. Ravensfire (talk) 17:38, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This is continuing again today, please look at the history at Operation_Kurojaro_(2025). Example edit summaries from Rapta999 - "ITS NOT YOUR PAGE STOP MODIFIED, You just want my page to be deleted when it breaks 0 rules", "STOP CHANGING I DON'T WANT MY PAGE TO BE DELETED ONCE AGAIN". This needs admin intervention. Ravensfire (talk) 18:18, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
At this point, Rapta999 and Adelaideslement8723 are both past WP:3RR on the page. I'm not bothering to edit this or Dersim Ambush (2007), another Rapta999 page with the same problems, until this gets resolved as Rapta999 shows zero interest in collaborating, following our principles or listening to anything being told to them. Ravensfire (talk) 18:27, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Rapta999 is now removing RFD tags from "their" article. Ravensfire (talk) 18:37, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Note, Rapta999 has been indefinitely blocked on en wiki for the same type of disruptive edits they are making here. Ravensfire (talk) 18:44, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The same thing happened on en wiki Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#unexplained removal of tags. and without heeding any warning they continue to make their disruptive edits. Finally this user was blocked from en wiki, I hope he/she will be blocked from here too. Kajmer05 (talk) 18:49, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just noting for the record Rapta has now created Servet6363 and is removing the RFD template from the article, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 18:54, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Ravensfire @Davey2010 I am sorry for the change war, I know to have reported it in the first place. But I was getting a bit too frustrated with Rapta, like I should not have. I know I should keep my mouth shut but again I am very sorry and it won't happen again. - Adelaide 𝓐𝓭𝓮𝓵𝓪𝓲𝓭𝓮 (𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓴𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓫𝓼) 20:33, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Always remember that there are admkns to help with stuff like this. Try to talk with the other editor, even when its tough, leave warnings and if there isn't any changes in the behavior of the other editor, escalate here or VIP. Ravensfire (talk) 20:39, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I will remember that next time. Thanks and have a good day! :) 𝓐𝓭𝓮𝓵𝓪𝓲𝓭𝓮 (𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓴𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓫𝓼) 20:42, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Adelaideslement8723, You're good, I was reverting them too until I realised the page was going to be deleted either way lol,
Honestly though you're fine, Personally I wouldn't of warned you as although edit warring is a forbidden thing and all that - you were simply reinstating tags that were being removed without any actual reason given, If you had tagged it with an invalid reason then I could understand but with words like "military engagement", "launched a coordinated assault" and "was part of a broader guerrilla offensive against" then yeah the {{complex}} tag is correct, and the {{primary sources}} tag is also correct because literally as of writing this there is only one source there ..... so yeah I personally don't think you should have been warned and to be honest I don't believe in this specific case you were edit warring either, imho no apology necessary –Davey2010Talk 21:11, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I think the warning was a bit much you know? But I have learned my lesson and it won't happen again, next time I will just report the change war and don't get more involved in it any further. Because if continued it would lead me and Rapta being blocked for change war/breaking the 3RR. But I have stopped my actions and just let an admin handle Rapta (and his apparent socks). Okay enough of that, TL;DR... Thanks and have a great rest of your night! :) 𝓐𝓭𝓮𝓵𝓪𝓲𝓭𝓮 (𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓴𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓫𝓼) 04:05, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
So here's the thing, if I'm going to warn one side of a revert-war, I have to warn the other as well. It denies either side the option of saying only they are being blamed. I found early on that doing that only made me way less likely to edit-war in something like this and how to better use the tools available to good-faith editors to get more eyes on the situation and get admins involved. I've gotten 3RR warnings as well, and sometimes it's that fingersnap that I need to get out of a reactive mode and shift to being proactive. Ravensfire (talk) 04:09, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That actually meaks sense... Thanks for the advice! :) 𝓐𝓭𝓮𝓵𝓪𝓲𝓭𝓮 (𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓴𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓫𝓼) 04:12, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Catching up here, is administrator action still required? Tagging @Adelaideslement8723 @Davey2010 Griff (talk) 02:21, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Griffinofwales at this point, all good. All known socks seem to be blocked, the relevant articles protected and hopefully some extra eyes for new POV articles from this sock farm. Appreciate all the admins for their help here. Ravensfire (talk) 05:36, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hey @Griffinofwales, Nope all good now as Rapta, his sock account and his IPs have all been blocked, and Operation Kurojaro and Denshim have now both been protected :), Thanks, Warm Regards, –Davey2010Talk 11:14, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Griffinofwales I think we are all good here now, Rapta and his socks have all been blocked and the pages Davey mentioned are protected now. 𝓐𝓭𝓮𝓵𝓪𝓲𝓭𝓮 (𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓴𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓫𝓼) 13:36, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
