Hey there! I just wanted to reach out as I noticed you've added a few maintenance templates to articles recently. Per MOS:ORDER, I wanted to point out that these generally should be placed above infoboxes. You're doing great work—simply some brief feedback for the future. Happy editing, and let me know if you have any questions! Bsoyka (t • c • g) 01:16, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
Drive-by tagging
[edit]I can see you are a new editor, and your contribution seems to be drive-by tagging. Please take a moment to fix some of the problems you are identifying, rather than leaving them for other editors to fix. Thanks for your understanding. Magnolia677 (talk) 16:38, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
Not sure why Biden and the Academy Awards was deleted.
[edit]Biden addressed the very serious issues from the documentary "The Hunting Ground" (2015), which discussed assault on college campuses. I don't understand why it was deleted. Starlighsky (talk) 03:15, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, but don't ask me! I only reverted your edit because you didn't follow the bold revert discuss rule on that article; I don't have any opinion on Joe Biden's contribution to that event. I have already sent a message to @Zaathras directing them to the talk page entry you made.

Thanks for uploading File:Doors Roblox Gameplay 50.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:07, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
World's second largest democracy by population.
[edit]Hi. USA is the 3rd largest country by population. China is a not a democracy. India is a democracy and it even states on their Wikipedia article that they are the world's largest democracy by population. Now isn't it just a simple deduction that the USA would be the world's 2nd largest democracy by population since China is not one? Not really sure if I need a source for this. Alexysun (talk) 03:04, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- More Context: The only two countries with more population than the USA are India and China. Alexysun (talk) 03:05, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Alexysun Well, the verifiability policy states that material that is "likely to be challenged" should always be cited. Not every reader out there will know or care about the political status of China and India, nor even their population. Based on that, it should be cited.
- Also, Wikipedia is (ironically) not a reliable source because of its user-generated content. TheWikiToby (talk) 03:51, 22 July 2024 (UTC)

Five Nights at Freddy's - I'm here to help!
[edit]Hi Toby, I hope this is the right place to reach out.
My name is Kane Carter and I'm directly involved in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. I've personally released two official games for it in the past few years under the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative. I've seen that the Wikipedia article for the Five Nights at Freddy's series has had some internal discussion about whether the Fanverse should be recognised on the page. I would love to give some insight on the Initiative, as well as possibly provide useful information for the rest of the series page based on my time as a fan and a developer for the series.
If you or anyone else working on the Wiki is interested, please DM me on Twitter, "kanethecarter", or "POPGOESdev". I'm happy to answer questions and clarify things regarding the Fanverse, or my own series in it.
I am not going to personally edit things on the page, to avoid a conflict of interest issue, but I will say it's sad to see the Fanverse being so broadly dismissed as a simple footnote. I was hoping that it being a huge part of the anniversary event this year would give it some well deserved credit, but it appears to still be seen as a mere group of "fangames" which is not correct.
Thanks for reading, hope to hear back from you soon. KaneCarter (talk) 19:39, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for reaching out KaneCarter! As a fan of Fnaf, it's super cool that I get to hear from someone so influential from the community! To address your concerns, unfortunately, your edit requests may not be able to be implemented in the actual article. First of all, I don't know for a fact that you're the real Kane Carter. I personally trust you, but I shouldn't jeopardize the integrity of the article in case you're not actually him (I also don't have Twitter).Secondly, your help counts as a Wikipedia:PRIMARYSOURCE, which is discouraged here, as Wikipedia heavily relies on Wikipedia:RELIABLESOURCES that proves the information can be Wikipedia:VERIFIED. Maybe it's possible you can drop some info to a secondary publication (see a list of sources here), and they can write about it so that Wikipedia in turn can use it.Again, thank you for reaching out and trying to help Wikipedia. You can read Wikipedia:EDITREQUEST for info on how you could request changes on a talk page, and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Thanks. TheWikiToby (talk) 22:17, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
- p.s. Avoid shortening Wikipedia as Wiki as it can be quite confusing (read this). Thanks. TheWikiToby (talk) 22:19, 7 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit]After doing some editing to address the problem, I removed the templates you placed on Bishop Herman College ({{Peacock}}[1] and {{Advert}}[2]). I won't object if you think there are still issues, and want to restore them. As for the awards and alumni sections, my go-to guide is Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools/Article advice. Administrator Elections: Discussion phase
[edit]The discussion phase of the October 2024 administrator elections is officially open. As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:
- October 22–24 - Discussion phase
- October 25–31 - SecurePoll voting phase
- November 1–? - Scrutineering phase
During October 22–24, we will be in the discussion phase. The candidate subpages will open to questions and comments from everyone, in the same style as a request for adminship. You may discuss the candidates at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/October 2024/Discussion phase.
On October 25, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close again to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote tallies cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's tally during the election. The suffrage requirements are different from those at RFA.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which will last for an indeterminate amount of time, perhaps a week or two. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose). As this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").
Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

Rollback
[edit]
Hi TheWikiToby. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:
- Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
- Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. - @Whpq I was requesting more so an WP:IAR/WP:SNOW delete rather than just notability. Seven editors have all decided on a delete in the AFD, so I don't see any reason the discussion should last longer than even a day imo. TheWikiToby (talk) 17:58, 31 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, TheWikiToby. I just read your reply in the Teahouse, "FYI for passerbys, OP has put up the retirement banner 10 minutes after the first response for this." Wanted to understand but didn't. Could you translate for me?

- You can look at the OP's (Original Poster's) user page User:Caman9899. They put up the template signalling their account's retirement which means they intend to indefinitely pause all editing on that account. TheWikiToby (talk) 03:39, 9 December 2024 (UTC)

Hello, TheWikiToby,
I don't know why you tagged this page for speedy deletion, CSD U1 is only for tagging your own User pages for deletion, not other editors'. You shouldn't have even been editing this page, please do not tag other editors' User pages for deletion unless CSD U5 applies or you want to tag them for an MFD discussion. But neither of those factors applied here. In general, it's best to edit within your own User space and leave other editors' alone. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 19:14, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Liz Hello Liz. The author opened a Teahouse thread asking for their sandbox and that page to be deleted, but did not know how to do so. I tagged it for them with an explanation in the template explaining why.
- The custom text in the template is pretty hard to notice though since it's not differentiated from the background or default text in any way, so it's completely understandable to miss it. TheWikiToby (talk) 19:39, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
Deletion saying I didn't provide a reliable source.
[edit]Hey, so you deleted a post in PayPal Honey for not having the correct or reliable sources. Whilst that is fair enough, you are mistaken for I am not the one who added the reference, I merely just edited part of the description, not adding the reference and simply just added a few words. I am not saying to add it back, I'm just saying you accused me of adding the thing without a proper reference, which was the previous user. FreckleTheCat (talk) 21:20, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hello @FreckleTheCat. While you didn't add the YouTube source, you still added information from that source, which is deprecated. The boilerplate template is used for both adding unreliable sources and adding content using unreliable sources. Sorry for the confusion! Tarlby (t) (c) 21:36, 22 December 2024 (UTC)

Question from ValleyDragon888 (12:30, 31 December 2024)
[edit]Hello! I just joined Wikipedia to fix a reference that links to a malicious website. However, when I enter the editor, the References section completely changes, and the part I was going to edit is no longer there. (Upon exiting it returns) I’m not really sure what to do, and would really appreciate your help. --ValleyDragon888 (talk) 12:30, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hello @ValleyDragon888. I'm glad to help! Can you tell me which article you're trying to fix and what reference leads to the malicious website? I could try to see it myself to fix the problem and tell you what went wrong. Tarlby (t) (c) 17:14, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- The article is here: https://simple.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Toki_Pona_words
- In reference 4, Tokipona.net and “the original” need to be removed.
- Thanks for your help! ValleyDragon888 (talk) 08:01, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- @ValleyDragon888 Just an FYI, that link directs to the Simple English Wikipedia which is a separate wiki from the English Wikipedia (the one we're editing right now!) I don't edit that wiki, so you should ask editors over there rather than someone like me for questions like this.
- I've checked, and the References section indeed changes when I start editing. Unfortunately, I'm not too experienced with the functions of those templates and am unsure of what causes this to happen in the source code. You can ask someone more experienced with templates for that. I can still remove the reference in the source editor though.
- Can you also explain how the reference is malicious before I remove it? Tarlby (t) (c) 18:21, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- Firstly, "the original" tried to get me to install a fake antivirus software, by telling me that I had a worm on my computer.
- tokipona.net contained a fake captcha, that attempted to trick me into enabling notifications for that website.ValleyDragon888 (talk) 08:52, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- @ValleyDragon888 I've removed the link now. Thanks for alerting someone of this. Tarlby (t) (c) 18:53, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
Question from Bees'n'wasps (19:39, 1 January 2025)
[edit]Hi, Tarlby. I have just edited an entry on Maconochie rations by adding an additional comment plus citation. The reference has automatically created a hyperlink for the author (Henry Buckle) to another Wikipedia article. Unfortunately the link is to a different person bearing the same name. I am trying to disable the hyperlink but keep the citation, but this does not seem to be working. How can I achieve this, please? Regards, Bees'n'wasps. --Bees'n'wasps (talk) 19:39, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the question, @Bees'n'wasps. Assuming you're using the Visual Editor, this is how the link can be removed:
- Select the reference and click "Edit". A popup should appear
- On the left sidebar, you will see a list of parameters. Deselect "Author link" when you see it.
- Click "Apply changes" to the top right and publish the edit
- I've just removed the link for you. You can go back to this in the future if you need help with this again. Help:Template also has a ton of information for templates.PS: There shouldn't be a space before a citation. Tarlby (t) (c) 20:01, 1 January 2025 (UTC)

On a positive note (and sadly I would have posted this on their talk page), I find that they redirected their actions towards constructive editing, which is a good glimmer of hope when it seemed like all was lost. Nothing contentious or disruptive yet, but still worth keeping an eye on.
The attitude and disdain showed, makes me wonder if the 14 represents their age? But again, their redirected efforts and backing down from the being argumentative is a good sign. Cheers! Question from Silver Rendition (00:15, 20 January 2025)
[edit]Hello! I wanted to ask, I'm new to the website, just made an account a few minutes or by the time you see this hours ago, and I first spotted false information from the Ideas Wiki on Fandom on a page of a list of content from Sonic, I simply deleted the paragraph of false info, was that the right move, or should I had done more? --Silver Rendition (talk) 00:15, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @Silver Rendition. As Fandom and Wikipedia are two completely separate websites, it's best that you ask an experienced editor over there instead. Wikipedia and small scale wikis have very different expectations and practices, so I cannot answer this. Tarlby (t) (c) 00:18, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
- Oh, I worded that wrong, I meant information from a page on Fandom on Wikipedia that was false! Silver Rendition (talk) 00:20, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
- Super sorry for the late response!
- The edit is appropriate; per WP:V, content that is not cited to reliable source is free to be removed. There's also plagarism concerns due to the fact the text was taken from Fandom. Tarlby (t) (c) 03:36, 20 January 2025 (UTC)

I've been just a Wikipedia reader up until today. Earlier this year two friends in the hack community offered to create a wikipedia page for my previous life stating that if I do not seize control of the narrative someone else will which I politely declined. I would like to learn how to create a page and maintain it and wonder what are the requirements in order for me to create a page about literally myself using my handle in the hack world of the late 80s/90s on forward. (seems a tad vain lol). There's already a-lot of articles out there by Forbes, Vice, Network World, etc and a few years ago someone added an hacker database entry (soldierx 'hacker database') which lists my real name so I have decided to do this but am ignorant to the ways and means so my apologies for typing overmuch and if this is beyond the scope of what a mentor is supposed to assist with. --Trickyb33 (talk) 17:38, 28 January 2025 (UTC)

If you want, you should learn to edit other areas of Wikipedia to understand the culture and expectations before trying to write an article.Long answer: Please see WP:AUTO, WP:COI, WP:GNG, WP:BIO, WP:RS, WP:V, and other WP:GUIDELINES. Creating an article is really hard for most inexperienced editors and especially those who have never edited before. Before we get to the general article writing difficulties, creating an article about yourself isn't exactly the best thing to do (WP:AUTO]]. Unconscious biases will probably creep in violating WP:NPOV. The article would also need multiple reliable sources (WP:RS, WP:V) that prove the article is notable (WP:N). But if there really are multiple articles by Forbes, Vice, and such, then maybe it is actually possible. If you really want to try making an article, make a WP:DRAFT and submit it to WP:AFC for review. - Hello @WikiTDMplayz. Do you have a question about Wikipedia? Tarlby (t) (c) 16:42, 14 February 2025 (UTC)
hi, i'd like to ask if it is advisable to use foreign language sources on the english wikipedia. for example, i was recently editing some paragraphs about railway systems and i felt that chinese-language sources had more and better information, so i cited quite a few chinese-language sources. also, can i cite information from other encyclopedias (e.g. baidu baike, britannica) or user-generated content (online forums, youtube, etc.)? thanks! --Psnq0009 (talk) 01:57, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @Psnq0009! I think it'll be very beneficial if you read our guideline Wikipedia:Reliable Sources as it covers everything you should know about sourcing and reliability. To answer your specific questions, non-English sources are fine to use as long as they're reliable of course.
- For more specific cases, you should see WP:RSP which lists commonly questioned sources from this community and the outcome of those discussions. Crowd-sourced wikis like Baidu Baike and (ironically) Wikipedia are considered unreliable to use. Britannica is considered to be somewhat questionable.
- User-generated content is considered to be automatically unreliable as we don't know the qualifications or trust worthiness of the user. However, this rule doesn't apply to known experts who happen to contribute to something like YouTube.
- Hope this all helps! Tarlby (t) (c) 02:16, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- You can also ask further questions at the Teahouse or Reliable Sources Noticeboard. Tarlby (t) (c) 02:19, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
- thank you for the infomation! i will be sure to read the the guidelines thoroughly. Psnq0009 (talk) 02:20, 16 February 2025 (UTC)
Question from Samuel akera on User:Samuel akera (10:45, 18 February 2025)
[edit]How to write attical --Samuel akera (talk) 10:45, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @Samuel akera. I suggest you read our policies and guidelines and contribute to more simpler areas of Wikipedia first. Creating articles is a very complicated process, so learning other elements of Wikipedia will help a lot. Tarlby (t) (c) 16:49, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
Question from Saimkhoja07 (11:10, 18 February 2025)
[edit]Hey, I just published a new article. Would you know how long will it take for wikipedia to publish it? Also, do I have to do anything manually to ask wikipedia to review it or does it automatically get passed on to editors for review? --Saimkhoja07 (talk) 11:10, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @Saimkhoja07, and thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! Most people would create an official WP:DRAFT of an article, but putting your work in your user page also works. To publish your article, you'd have to mark the draft as ready using an WP:AFC template, though it looks like removed the template. Add it back and mark the draft as submitted. An AFC reviewer may then look at the article and publish or decline it. The time an article gets reviewed depends on when someone actually wants to review it, but the current backlog would make it an estimate time of 2 or more months.Unfortunately though, it's likely that your article will be declined. You should read the policies and guidelines; the draft is ripe with WP:PROMOTIONAL material, WP:UNSOURCED statements, and is overall incorrectly formatted (please the the manual of style. Please also fix the citations (WP:CITE). Tarlby (t) (c) 16:57, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
Question from Farazkhantanoli782 (11:20, 19 February 2025)
[edit]how do i create my own article --Farazkhantanoli782 (talk) 11:20, 19 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @Farazkhantanoli782. Creating an article is a very complicated process and is not recommended to newer editors. I suggest you read our policies and guidelines and contributing to Wikipedia in other ways. If you do truly want to make an article, please read WP:N and other guidelines on the creation of articles. Good luck. Tarlby (t) (c) 18:17, 19 February 2025 (UTC)

Hi, New editor here. I've written an essay about John Sayles' first novel, Pride of the Bimbos, for which Wikipedia posts a grotesquely superficial and inaccurate page, referred to as a stub. I'd like to add several paragraphs, including summarizing points from my essay—but that hasn't been published yet (although Sayles has reviewed and approved it). Please advise. Thanks, Jim --JimHight (talk) 20:02, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @JimHight. Per our guidelines WP:RS and WP:OR, you wouldn't be able to add information yourself as that information would come from yourself. I or someone else would need to review and add it themself. Also, per WP:NOTESSAY, it's likely any personal opinions won't be added. Tarlby (t) (c) 17:56, 26 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks JimHight (talk) 21:18, 26 February 2025 (UTC)
Problem with userpage warning on top of page
[edit]Hey, just wanted to let you know that the template text on the top of your page It's the same color as the background in dark mode. all you would need to do would be to add a color=black to the template specifications. - Thanks for contacting me. You should read Wikipedia:Reliable sources on what we want in sourcing. His Soundcloud acts as a primary source and original research. That's not enough. This Stones Throw website doesn't appear on WP:RSP nor WP:MUSIC/SOURCE. Searching through, I don't see an editorial policy or staff that review the information on the site. Vandalism vs errouneous
[edit]Hello! At this page, you reverted a change with the description: "Vandalism". I was thinking it was an errouneous change, not vandalism. Can you please tell me what is the difference between that edit and an errouneous one?
Best regards, --Dimitrie569 (Talk) 15:56, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Dimitrie569 WP:VANDALISM is defined as deliberately defying the purpose of Wikipedia, for example, writing absolute nonsense on an article. I find that replacing the subject's name in an article with this [3] is, frankly, impossible to be in good faith. Therefore, it's vandalism. Keep in mind that we're obligated to leave warnings on the user's talk page where they have the perfect opportunity to explain what they were doing if it happened to not be vandalism.Cheers. Tarlby (t) (c) 16:14, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your response! But my question was: when changing a person's name with another is it an errouneous or vandalism? --Dimitrie569 (Talk) 18:38, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- To clarify, "erroneous" isn't a policy, so maybe you've been a little misled. It'd just be vandalism in this case. Tarlby (t) (c) 18:41, 14 April 2025 (UTC)

[edit]
Hi Tarlby! I noticed that you recently made an edit at KineMaster and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia: it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. TzarN64 (talk) 21:18, 24 April 2025 (UTC)

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. λ NegativeMP1 01:36, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Rain World FAC
[edit]I'm a pretty big fan of the game, and I've noticed you're currently working on the article and trying to bring it to FAC. Apologies if my removal of the note about the new DLC's reception was a bad move, but I do still think it would be best put as a footnote especially since the article already utilizes those for several other details. I had been wondering about the status of the article for a couple years now, since it has fallen pretty out of date. It's definitely in a much better state now, thank you for what you're doing and sorry if my edit came across as rude or detrimental. Gasmasque (talk) 14:41, 18 May 2025 (UTC)

Administrator Elections | Call for Candidates
[edit]The administrator elections process has officially started! Interested editors are encouraged to self-nominate or arrange to be nominated by reviewing the instructions at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/July 2025/Candidates.
Here is the schedule:
- July 9–15 - Call for candidates
- July 18–22 - Discussion phase
- July 23–29 - SecurePoll voting phase
Please note the following:
- The requirements to run are identical to RFA—a prospective candidate must be extended confirmed.
- Prospective candidates are advised to become familiar with the community's expectations of administrators, which are much higher than the minimum requirement of having extended confirmed status. This includes reviewing successful and unsuccessful RFAs, reading the essay Wikipedia:Advice for RfA candidates, and possibly requesting an optional poll on their chances of passing.
- The process will have a seven day call for candidates phase, a two day pause, a five day discussion phase, and a seven day private vote using SecurePoll. Discussion and questions are only allowed on the candidate pages during the discussion phase.
- The outcome of this process is identical to making a request for adminship. There is no official difference between an administrator appointed through RFA versus administrator elections.
- Administrator elections are also a valid means of regaining adminship for de-sysopped editors.
Ask any questions about the process at the talk page. A separate user talk message will be sent to official candidates with additional information about the process.
If you are interested in the process, please make sure to watchlist the appropriate pages. A watchlist notice will be added when the discussion phase opens, and again when the voting phase opens.

Administrator Elections | Discussion phase
[edit]The discussion phase of the July 2025 administrator elections is officially open. As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:
- July 18–22 - Discussion phase (we are here)
- July 23–29 - SecurePoll voting phase
- July 30–c. Aug 3 - Scrutineering phase
We are currently in the discussion phase. The candidate subpages are open to questions and comments from everyone, in the same style as a request for adminship. You may discuss the candidates at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/July 2025/Discussion phase.
On July 23, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close again to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's totals during the election. You must be extended confirmed to vote.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which will last approximately four days, or perhaps a little longer. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the results page (you may want to watchlist this page) and transcluded to the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose), and must also have received a minimum of 20 support votes. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").
Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

Project 2025- is a christo-fascist manifesto
[edit]Prove it to me otherwise. It's clear as tap water. 8 out of 9 Seperme Court Justices are christian. Not one has a degree in science. The President is talking about getting in to heaven. Most of all the appointments of this administration are christian. The theology of the entire nation and the documents that it was formed are seemingly being ignored. %24 of America voted for the FELON who stacked the Seperme Court with religious zealots who have declared war on progressive states. The Constitution and it's Clauses are being ignored. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is being ignored. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how they are attempting to resind ajudicated rights. "Appeal to Heaven" flag flown, history being wiped from the the internet and Wikipedia. It's deplorable behavior. EnlightenedIllusions (talk) 22:14, 22 August 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @EnlightenedIllusions. If you can provide me at least 10 sources used in the Project 2025 article that specifically call it a "christo-fascist manifesto", then perhaps we can add it into the first sentence. Otherwise, you are conducting original research. The article's body already describes the project's fascist-coded provisions as described by the sources provided. - I suggest bringing these to Project 2025's talk page so other editors can evaluate them and incorporate them into the article's body if approved. I've skimmed through a few of them and am unsure of the reliability status for most of them, though I do note the Democrats Abroad source obviously shouldn't be used (of course Trump's main opposition would oppose him). Tarlby (t) (c) 18:30, 26 August 2025 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) @EnlightenedIllusions - let me suggest you take a moment to review both WP:RSP and WP:RS before posting these sources to the talk page. At least half of them fail to be reliable sources, and at least two are outright non-reliable sources for controversial topics per prior discussions. Here is also a very helpful essay for those who are wanting to contribute from a position of truth, as well as another essay about why everything is not necessarily true. I believe taking a moment to review those four links will greatly improve your ability to contribute, as well as understand some of the positions other people are taking. [edit]Hey there! I noticed the submnissiom about Gibson App was declined. The app is a free standing product partly connected to gibson but developed and owned by zoundio AB. Many of its competitors have independent wikipedia pages such as ultimate guitar, chordify and more. So it makes sense for also Gibson App to have its own wikipedia page. Does it need to be bigger and contain more content? Or any other suggestion?
