The Graphics Lab is a project to improve the graphical content of the Wikimedia projects. Requests for image improvements can be added to the workshop pages: Illustrations, Photographs and Maps. For questions or suggestions one can use the talk pages: Talk:Graphics Lab, Talk:Illustrations, Talk:Photographs and Talk:Maps.
This specific page is the requests page for the illustration workshop. Anyone can make a request for an illustration to be improved or created for a Wikipedia article. Clicking the "New Request" button will bring you to a standard template for submitting requests, as well as general advice that should be followed. Most charts and graphs on the web are in the public domain. See c:Template:PD-chart; no need to create another free chart here if it already exists on the web. Advice to requesters

All requests:

Please make sure your request is "legitimate" by copyright. If the image(s) are in the public domain or freely licensed, you are fine. If the image(s) are "Fair use", there are only certain things we can do with them without falling afoul of Wikipedia's fair-use policies.
- If you are requesting assistance with a copyright or fair-use image, don't display it on this page; place {{GLNF|Example.png|caption|align=left}} to create a link to it. Do not add the File: extension. Our fair-use policy does not allow displaying fair-use images out of their articles on ANY account.
Please check back regularly to see if progress has been made or if any additional questions need to be answered before the request can be completed.
If a request is done to your satisfaction, please mark it with {{resolved}}.

SVG requests:

Make sure your request can actually BE vectorized. Note that vector drawings are not suitable for certain applications. We generally use SVG format for icons, logos, drawings, maps, flags, and such. Certain things, photographs especially, are totally impossible to vectorize.
Per our non-free content policy, vectorization of copyrighted images is not permitted. If a vectorized non-free image is desired, seek out such an image from the copyright holder.

I have done some clean-up just for personal amusement while between jobs. I must leave it to others now. I would suggest rather than asking here, you should download Inkscape, play with it to see how it works, and fix them. @RAPTOR7762: Thanks for all the files you've created so far! Just a few things:

1) Regarding Elizabeth Anne Sheldon's proposal, could you add the pattern of gold nuggets underneath the seal (which is what the gold smudges at the bottom of the blue disk are intended to represent, since the blue disk is supposed to be a prospector pan)?

2) Regarding both Robert Niel DeArmond's proposal and Walter A. Savikko's proposal, perhaps you could change the seals on those ones to the full-colour version, instead of the yellow version from the other two existing files? It's just that since the source images don't actually give visual demonstrations of how the seal is intended to be displayed on those proposals, I think the primary full-colour version would be a safer bet (and the same would apply to the seal on Eugene Wacker's proposal if you decide to make that file as well).

Heart-shaped depiction in Leo xiv's coat of arms

It's been a few months since Leo Xiv's heraldry was revealed, and regardless of whether the background color in the lower right corner is yellowish or white, their hearts are always complete and there's no dent on the right side. I'd like to ask if the heraldry on Wikipedia should be updated. Based on the images I've seen so far, the heart shape on his coat of arms should be similar to the heart shape he used when he was a cardinal.

A couple years ago, Afever made these excellent images. They need a couple minor revisions. Could anyone please make the following edits? The images are based on the ones on pages 115–117 of this article; these can be used as a reference for the needed edits. The edits:

Top left: Please: 1) remove where the line at the mouth crosses over the tongue; 2) remove the gray from the portion of the tongue which is inside the serpent's mouth; and 3) put a small "A" at the bottom left of the image.
Top right: Please put a small "B" at the bottom left of the image.
Bottom left: Please: 1) add the three "plugs" (the things with diagonal lines); and 2) put a small "C" at the bottom left of the images.
Bottom right: Please: 1) add the three "plugs"; 2) define the end of the serpent's tail (this may require making the surrounding gray area a little larger); 3) make the surrounding gray color (i.e., the part that was added in this image) a bit different (e.g., with dots) than the interior gray color (i.e., the color that's in all of the images); and 4) put a small "D" at the bottom left of the image.
