    This specific page is the requests page for the illustration workshop. Anyone can make a request for an illustration to be improved or created for a Wikipedia article.     Advice to requesters

    All requests:

    • Please make sure your request is "legitimate" by copyright. If the image(s) are in the public domain or freely licensed, you are fine. If the image(s) are "Fair use", there are only certain things we can do with them without falling afoul of Wikipedia's fair-use policies.
      • If you are requesting assistance with a copyright or fair-use image, don't display it on this page; place {{GLNF|Example.png|caption|align=left}} to create a link to it. Do not add the File: extension. Our fair-use policy does not allow displaying fair-use images out of their articles on ANY account.
    • Please check back regularly to see if progress has been made or if any additional questions need to be answered before the request can be completed.

    SVG requests:

    • Make sure your request can actually BE vectorized. Note that vector drawings are not suitable for certain applications. We generally use SVG format for icons, logos, drawings, maps, flags, and such. Certain things, photographs especially, are totally impossible to vectorize.
    • Per our non-free content policy, vectorization of copyrighted images is not permitted. If a vectorized non-free image is desired, seek out such an image from the copyright holder.

    Based on page 4 of this file, I would appreciate it if someone would help me render the first three seals of "Mẫu số 1" (CHỦ TỊCH NƯỚC for the President of Vietnam, THỦ TƯỚNG CHÍNH PHỦ for Prime Minister of Vietnam, and CHỦ TỊCH QUỐC HỘI for the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, the 3 of them and ignore the fourth one), as well as the "Mẫu số 2" one (CHÍNH PHỦ NƯỚC CỘNG HÒA X.H.C.N. VIỆT NAM for the Government of Vietnam). The font should be Times New Roman or something similar, and the color should be pure red (RGB/CMYK/HTML). In Wikimedia Commons, they can be named "2012 seal of the President/Prime Minister/National Assembly Chairperson/Government of the S.R.     @Hwi.padam: Hi Hwi, see the draft above for the president's seal. I did a copy/paste of the text you provided but I have no clue if pasting it in times new roman is reliable or not.     Hello there, thank you for your effort. As I expect these to be rendering of the physical seals and there is never a "colored" rendition, they should be in red monochrome (only the red outlines - can be extracted from the emblem's construction sheet - and transparent background).     Yep, for the reference, this is the real-life usage of the Government of Vietnam's seal [4]. The seals for the persons use dotted circle while it is a solid line for the government, as precisely seen in the PDF file that I attached above. The emblem looks to be the same, which can be revised with small details from the construction sheet above.  Hwi.padam   22:21, 29 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

    Looks pretty good actually! I have some recommendations:
    • Can you use the full "CỘNG HÒA XÃ HỘI CHỦ NGHĨA VIỆT NAM" text from the full-color emblem? The construction sheet is also for the emblem of North Vietnam, which had a different formal name to the contemporary Vietnam, so the construction sheet only featured "Việt Nam" to cover both the version.
    • As this is the impression device, can you remove the white background and make it transparent?
    • Can you revise the emblem's star and make it look more similar to the nomination in the documentation? It includes a dot in the center and the petals are striped for shadowing effects.
    • I could be wrong, but it looks like the Vietnamese designers intentionally stretched the emblem a little bit in the horizontal direction to make the shape to be "more parallel" to the external circle border.

    Hello @Hwi.padam: I added the expression "CỘNG HÒA XÃ HỘI CHỦ NGHĨA VIỆT NAM"; I also added the stripes for the shadow within the star. However for the dot in the center, imho it is solely an optical illusion from the crossing point of the petals. I stretched laterally the emblem as you mentioned. However the bad news is that it would take hours to make it transparent. I upload it with the white background. Maybe somebody will know how to make it efficiently and nicely. --PBrieux (talk) 23:11, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
    Look very nice already! Just one more detail, the "cộng hòa xã hội chủ nghĩa" small line on the emblem should be in a sans-serif font, as shown in the original emblem and also looked like that in the government's nomination. "Việt Nam" is in serif/times new roman, which is correct!

    I have done some clean-up just for personal amusement while between jobs. I must leave it to others now. I would suggest rather than asking here, you should download Inkscape, play with it to see how it works, and fix them.     • I propose to make a vectorized national emblem of Kalmyk ASSR (1940–1943, 1958–1978) based on this SVG vector image of the Crimean ASSR national emblem. At the same time, all the state name texts on the shield and all the motto text on the cloth strip below, except the five Cyrillic letters "РСФСР" at the top, were removed and replaced with the state name texts and motto texts in the Kalmyk ASSR national emblem. The format and typesetting shall be based on all the texts on the Kalmyk ASSR emblem.
      I propose to make a vectorized national emblem of Kalmyk ASSR (1940–1943, 1958–1978) based on this SVG vector image of the Crimean ASSR national emblem.     • This is the original GIF image I newly uploaded, but the existing PNG image and SVG vector image on Wikimedia Commons have many serious bugs. Therefore, I personally recommend remaking the SVG vector image of the Chuvash ASSR national emblem based on the Komi ASSR national emblem and uploading it as a new file, rather than modifying and overwriting the original SVG vector image of the Chuvash ASSR national emblem.

    @RAPTOR7762: Thanks for all the files you've created so far! Just a few things:
    1) Regarding Elizabeth Anne Sheldon's proposal, could you add the pattern of gold nuggets underneath the seal (which is what the gold smudges at the bottom of the blue disk are intended to represent, since the blue disk is supposed to be a prospector pan)?
    2) Regarding both Robert Niel DeArmond's proposal and Walter A. Savikko's proposal, perhaps you could change the seals on those ones to the full-colour version, instead of the yellow version from the other two existing files? It's just that since the source images don't actually give visual demonstrations of how the seal is intended to be displayed on those proposals, I think the primary full-colour version would be a safer bet (and the same would apply to the seal on Eugene Wacker's proposal if you decide to make that file as well).

    Heart-shaped depiction in Leo xiv's coat of arms

    It's been a few months since Leo Xiv's heraldry was revealed, and regardless of whether the background color in the lower right corner is yellowish or white, their hearts are always complete and there's no dent on the right side. I'd like to ask if the heraldry on Wikipedia should be updated. Based on the images I've seen so far, the heart shape on his coat of arms should be similar to the heart shape he used when he was a cardinal.
