Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Jharkhand
![]() | Points of interest related to Jharkhand on Wikipedia: Outline – History – Category – WikiProject – Deletions – Stubs |
This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Jharkhand. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Jharkhand|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Jharkhand. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.
This list is also part of the larger list of deletion debates related to India.

Non-notable politician, fails Wp:NPOL. No wp:SIGCOV is found except few news articles revolving around his murder case. His murder case could pass the notability as an event but not this biography. Zuck28 (talk) 17:09, 13 July 2025 (UTC)

All the sources are about his death. SIGCOV: Not Found, Fails NACTOR, GNG and ANYBIO. Zuck28 (talk) 16:47, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in the deletion sorting lists for the following topics: People, Actors and filmmakers, Artists, Dance, India, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. Zuck28 (talk) 16:47, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
- Keep the coverage appears to be occasioned by his death, assessing the career of someone prominent who has died, not about his death, as would be the case if someone was murdered or died in an unusual way. This kind of editorial obituary coverage actually establishes notability under GNG. Jahaza (talk) 18:50, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
- Career includes non-notable projects, that too without proper citations. Fails Wp:NACTOR. Zuck28 (talk) 18:57, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
- Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

Not at all notable. The media articles are about other brands that have opened their outlets in the mall. Chanel Dsouza (talk) 11:10, 11 July 2025 (UTC)

- Redirect to Lalpur, Ranchi#Shopping: The first source, [1], has unclear reliability and independence, it seems to be a self-published blog. Otherwise, the available coverage I could find consists of random events and store openings that happened to take place in the mall, a mention in [2], and coverage of alleged illegal construction which cannot establish notability per WP:ILLCON. Could also be redirected to Ranchi#Economy. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 04:01, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
- Redirect to Lalpur, Ranchi#Shopping per above.Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 07:04, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- Keep No need to redirect I've already added four reliable citations based on the incidents Satipem (talk) 08:26, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- I don't want this article about a shopping mall to be redirected or deleted. The mall already clearly has 4 citations reliable.

- Comment: The added sources are mostly about store openings and injuries that happened inside the mall, not the mall itself. The last source [3] only contains a trivial mention of the mall. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 19:24, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
