Disambiguation link notification for May 6
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Windows 10, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sandboxing. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

hello, good afternoon
I received a notification which states vandalism warning for me, but when I checked the article, I have never opened that article before (Permalink), because what I find on Wikipedia is merely science (math, chemistry, and biology) The notification itself attached your username and I hope this is all about misunderstandings
thank you for your concern — Preceding unsigned comment added by GCPMT (talk • contribs) 06:01, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

What promotional material? I just revert/fixed some editions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Claudiosmweb (talk • contribs) 04:59, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
Why
Why you change `380,000` to `80,000`? By the source: http://www.woothemes.com/2014/08/woocommerce-growth-revisited-four-million-counting/ 381,187 sites or 17.77% of ecommerce sites online. But for Buildwith http://trends.builtwith.com/shop# now have 663,153 sites or 24,56% of ecommerce sites online. Can you explain why you insist on that edition? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Claudiosmweb (talk • contribs) 05:03, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
See the changelog!
I was not me who put the "the most popular" or some number in bolding. But thank you for accusing me! As I said, I reverted because you changed a wrong number. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Claudiosmweb (talk • contribs) 05:08, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

Xbox One edits
Just wanted to mention that some of the material you recently inserted isn't mentioned in any of the cited references. For example, saying the "game will automatically be downloaded" isn't clarified in the sources. None use the term "automatic" to describe the process. The following statement also isn't properly sourced: "As with Xbox One games, Xbox 360 games require their original disc to play if installed from disc." Feel free to briefly mention it if a proper source can be located. And finally, I think we should try to keep this announcement to 4 or 5 sentences like it is now. Anything more is probably overkill. Thoughts? --GoneIn60 (talk) 19:46, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- OK, so you just reverted and added a source that wasn't there previously. Not was I was expecting, but that's a step in the right direction. What about the other concern I raised dealing with a lengthy paragraph describing the announcement (WP:UNDUE)? --GoneIn60 (talk) 20:50, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
King's Quest
Actually I believe the subtitle is only for Chapter 1, not for the entire series. It states that at the end of the trailer "Chapter I: A Knight to Remember". We don't yet know the subtitles for the other five episodes. Nor do we know if the full game has a subtitle yet.78.151.105.146 (talk) 07:16, 16 June 2015 (UTC)

Question on edits
Hello ViperSnake151,
I am Silvernugget.
Thank you for a detailed explanation.
I think I understand your point, but want to clarify (I am new to editing on wikipedia.)
You mentioned that my edits didn't include references to reliable sources. I had added references to editeddaily.com and digitalmusicnews.com. Did you mean that these two sources are not reliable per wikipedia?
Or was it a technical error on my part.
Any further information you can provide will be helpful.
thank you. Silvernugget (talk) 17:27, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
Table section on JD2016 page
I see that when you or someone else restored the table section of the Just Dance 2016 page, it seems that the "Mode" and "Dancers" section was removed. That's the part that tells of how many dancers there are per song, and the sexes of each dancer with a male or female sign. Do you want me to re-add these? Kittygirl7878 (talk) 00:37, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
I can understand trying to make the page look less like a game guide, but I don't see how listing off each dancers' sexes makes it look like such. The rest of the Just Dance pages still include these, are they also to be changed in the future? Kittygirl7878 (talk) 01:13, 20 June 2015 (UTC)

Windows RT
Windows 10 unifies Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 into a single OS. Just like Windows RT, Windows 10 Mobile can run on ARM-based tablets. So, Windows 10 is definitely the successor of Windows RT. The citation you provided only states that Windows RT is excluded from getting the Windows 10 upgrade, it does not state anything about Windows RT not having a successor. Just because Windows RT cannot be upgraded to Windows 10, it doesn't mean that Windows RT has no successor. Windows Phone 7 too cannot be upgraded to Windows Phone 8, but still Windows Phone 8 is the successor of Windows Phone 7. If you think that having a citation is really important, the statement on the Wikipedia article that Windows RT is preceded by Windows CE also does not have a citation, why don't you remove that or at least add a 'citation needed' tag? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.25.62.77 (talk) 06:20, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
- Actually, I added a citation (the one, the IP means?), but both I and Viper protected it. But does the IP(s) have a point? It should have been brought up that the page's Talk page (and maybe move for here?). I actually like the truth better than sources, but a source always wins a non-source. About the infobox, that has limited space, it seemed "none" was appropriate even if that exact word wasn't used. "Defacto" is maybe not well-defined (or understood by all English-speaking people? Should it be linked if used?), but if there are two sides then both can be explained in main-text (with sources)? comp.arch (talk) 11:56, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

Stripping of GA status
As per your comment here, the reason I wanted to strip Windows RT of GA status was because WP:GAR says that any article which does not meet any of the GA criteria can be reassessed and, should nobody object on the GAR discussion page, the article can be delisted at the discretion of the nominator. In this case, the condition which has been failed to be met is #5, Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute. That statement explicitly deems that articles that are being disputed, like Windows RT, by means of edit wars do not meet that criteria, and that is enough for relinquishing of GA status.
Challenge? <<< SOME GADGET GEEK >>> (talk) 23:40, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Firstly, you should allow at least 7 days for other editors to respond to the GA reassessment and to possibly improve the article so that it meets GA criteria. Secondly, an isolated case of edit warring (which does not significantly change the article from day to day) does not automatically mean that an article is unstable. sovereign°sentinel (contribs) 12:25, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
Metro-style apps article
Hello Viper
In your revision #675686228, you have added two tags to the article for a problem that I had already resolved in revision #674969079. I have already asked Naypta to respond if the discussion is not resolved to his satisfaction.
Of course, it is customary not to revert you immediately, wait and politely ask you if there is anything you'd like to add. However, I have already asked you that two years ago, when the article was in my user space. I am yet to hear an answer. So, sorry, dear; I honestly feel you owe me a bit of talking: Exactly which part is wrong or what I need to fix?
Also, I don't understand why you keep mentioning "Windows Store apps" and "Universal Windows Platform" while these term have already appeared in this exact casing in the article. So, for the third time: What can I do for you in this regard? If you wish to propose a rename, know that I have no strong feelings towards either "Metro-style apps" or "Windows Store apps". I chose the former per our previous agreement.
Best regards,

Quick question: Why do you think everybody is wrong and you alone are right? If you provide specifics, things go forward much more friendlier. (Then again, I've seen you re-write whole article sections but adding no benefits.)
FYI, "will invalidate in "significant hardware changes will invalidate invalidates the digital entitlement" must be "invalidates". When you say "will invalidate", it means it does not invalidate right now, but maybe in the future. 07:58, 13 August 2015 (UTC)

Date styles again
Hello, ViperSnake151
I put it briefly: I am asserting my entitlement to Wikipedia:Editing policy § Talking and editing in Microsoft Visual Studio article very firmly. It has been about a year that you and I didn't have anything that amounts to a two-threaded discussion. I used to be your fan; used to think you have editorial judgment. Please do not start behaving like Dogmaticeclectic too.
As for the Windows article, I vividly believe we agreed that Microsoft and its software are equally important internationally and do not evoke a stronger tie in the United States. We had a talk page discussion and we put a {{Use dmy dates}} tag at the top. I haven't been watching Windows articles lately; I hope you haven't change the date style in an article that has {{Use dmy dates}} on it.
Best regards,

- Okay, I am not the fan of the other wrong thing either. All Windows or Microsoft articles that are primarily written using MDY dates should stay that way. All Windows or Microsoft articles that are primarily written using DMY dates should stay that way too. Whenever I add citations to articles that are written using MDY dates and by mistake use DMY dates, anyone can feel free to correct me.
- Now, I am going to have a party: We talked two threads after a year and some month. Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 19:26, 24 August 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to CKWS-DT may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. Disambiguation link notification for September 4
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Burning Man, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Self-reliance and Inclusion. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Amiibo split
In response to this comment, yes, being bold is encouraged, but it is absolutely not a valid rationale for making edits during an on-going discussion that lacked any sort of consensus (and was probably leaning towards a consensus of not splitting it out yet.) If you didn't see the discussion and just went for it, then that's an understandable mistake, but if you knew of the discussion, opted out of participating, and then just made whatever move you felt like, then there's a serious problem. I'm hoping it was the former rather than the latter, as you've been here a long time and know how the processes work... Sergecross73 msg me 20:22, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Preemptive discussion
You created the redirect Chrgd a while ago. Now, it's a perfectly valid redirect (from alternate capitalization), so that's not what this is about. Rather, I would like to discuss where the main article will be moved in a few weeks' time.
MOS:TMRULES says: "Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting 'official', as long as this is a style already in widespread use, rather than inventing a new one".
The problem is that I have not seen a single WP:RS that uses the standard capitalization of this name, or even the all-lowercase variant, making this seem like a clear case of WP:NEOLOGISM to me. What do you think? Mdrnpndr (talk) 16:31, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
- Any particular reason why you haven't responded to this yet? I'm fine with waiting a bit if you're busy, but I'd appreciate it if you let me know... Mdrnpndr (talk) 16:53, 19 September 2015 (UTC)
FIFA 16
Please remove what you have added to this article. I have reverted this twice already and do not want to enter into an edit war with you. Simply re-adding material that has been challenged twice is not the way to progress things. Guidelines suggest that you should already be discussing this, not simply repeating your edit for a third time. I would have hoped an editor as experienced as you would not need this explained.
As I explained already; what you are adding is sourced to a separate article and you do not have a cite that connects this case to the matter of NCAA's previous licence agreement with EA for other games. But the fact you are adding it to the FIFA 16 article, after mention of the issue of EA's licensing with "national governing bodies and federations" is, in itself, suggesting there is a connection. The matter of the NCAA's policy on video games, and its effects, is out of scope for this article. And it is, presumably, EA's contention that the matters were not related, and they were not licensing anything through NCAA. I don't know. That's why I wouldn't be putting this in.
I'm not saying you are wrong, and there may be a cite out there that makes the relationship between the two cases clear. But policy on original research states that you cannot be the one to connect the two. You may be mistaken. But if you can find a good source that outlines what you suggest I'd be happy for it to be included. Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 17:14, 22 September 2015 (UTC)

KPRI
Though I don't agree with how the article is composed and it seems disjointed and not in line with our other radio station articles complete with headers, logos, and formatting, I appreciate your taking the time to work with KPRI's entry. I would add the logos and other radio station content like our other stations but it will just be removed or reverted so can you please help me add logos like 99% of the other stations contain? KLOVE stations contain the KLOVE logo on the info box and I also have the KPRI logo for the historical page. Thank you for your help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DoulosBen (talk • contribs) 15:05, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
-- I used feed because having worked in the radio industry for many years its what we called a syndicated broadcast since it is streamed in via a live 'feed'. Please explain why you systematically go through and change everything I do back to your way even when I give reasons for my edits. Even tiny edits are changed back. It's extremely frustrating to spend 20 or 30 minutes trying to improve the community only to have all your work erased blindly by a 'revert'. KPRI: This was not an acquisition, it was a sale. EMF purchased the station that was for sale privately. They did not 'take over'. Even tiny flow corrections like the quote by Hughes which makes the article read better was changed back to the copy / paste quote which just looks trashy. I changed 'San Diego County' to San Diego area because KPRI signal reaches out of the county. And yet that was changed back blindly also. I undid the most recent 'flip' back to the previous text so as to show you my edits. Please take my edits into consideration- it is extremely discouraging!DoulosBen (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:50, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
UPDATE: I am stopping this right here. No encyclopedia whether accurate or inaccurate is worth an argument of content and accuracy. But to be fair, I want to clarify: sale vs acquisition - they aren't synonymous terminology. Constant insistence in erasing hard work to verify and improve a page shows very clearly that not everyone believes in Wikipedia's commitment to accuracy and ease of use. This is why this article will simply have to be left to others to edit... quite likely to it's detriment. It's simply not worth it and not how I want to waste my time. Signing off of KPRI. Go for it. Windows Phone 10 listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Windows Phone 10. Since you had some involvement with the Windows Phone 10 redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 18:01, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
Edits in Second Screen Page
Hi. Thanks for your time reading my edit to the topic ‘Second Screen’ (and expunging the whole instantly). It was my very first edit for Wikipedia. It would be very helpful if you could guide me which rules I have broken or which information was not correct. Any advice from a veteran like you to first time editor would be great. P.S I am deep in second screen and this is my subject for some time now. My plan is to turn this page into first class reference for ‘Second Screen”. wikiZee 06:42, 13 October 2015 (UTC) posting my question to you again as first time missed to add title.
