Welcome to my talk page!
I try to keep discussions contained to one page; if you message me elsewhere, please ping me using {{ping}} or {{reply to}}. Please consider starting a discussion on the talk page of the article and then pinging me if it has to do mainly with article content. Thank you.
If I don't reply to you and I've been editing in the meantime, please ping me again - I'll never intentionally ignore a message, but it's possible I might have forgotten to respond.
- If you'd like to discuss any of my edits, then I'm always open to explaining the rationale behind my changes. I believe strongly in the importance of collaboration.
- If you want to ask me about an article I've substantively worked on, feel free to ask for notes, lines of research I've already checked, etc.
- If you want me to review or give feedback on an article (especially ones related to my editing areas), just ask, I'll probably accept.
Have fun, and thanks for contributing to this project.

The Executioner and Her Way of Life
[edit]Thanks for the review. I haven't done nominations in a while but if there is so much information of an adaptation, I recommend splitting it. I did that with Vinland Saga (TV series), D.Gray-man (TV series), X (TV series) and recently Heavenly Delusion as they are all based on a printed material. Also I recommend avoiding short paragraphs composed of a single sentence. Think of Wikipedia as a formal letter and give each paragraph a theme. If there is also information of characters' creation, I would also consider splitting the article in a character list. Happy holidays Tintor2 (talk) 13:28, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice! Most of my sources are from online interviews, so this is probably the most extensive coverage it can get. I'm not sure if the adaptation is unique enough on its own to qualify for a content split (same for the characters, unfortunately there's really not much info), but I'll take a look at those examples and consider it. I'll work on the paragraphing stuff. Happy holidays. Crestfalling (talk/contribs) 18:31, 24 December 2025 (UTC)

Thanks for amending the synopsis for the article. I've always felt that the synopsis I put wasn't a good representation of the series, since I'm a reader of the series. Many thanks. SimonLagann (talk) 22:54, 4 January 2026 (UTC)

- Congratulations! I noticed that you had a pledge to review two articles of a category of the reviewer's choice. Looking at your user page, maybe WP:GAN#LIT or something else from WP:GAN#STAGE would be up your alley? Either way, I'm looking forward to a fact from this article making it into a DYK if you decide to do so! Kamakou (talk) 15:42, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you very much! Those topics look good, appreciate you taking my experience into account. I'll get a DYK nom in the next few days up and am looking forward to it too. - Thank you, very cute award! I enjoyed the anime too - it made me a bit sad to see the article so bare, and by the time I finished, I figured I might as well nominate it for GA. I hope to continue improving coverage of yuri articles in the future, I do have quite a few lined up :) Crestfalling (talk/contribs) 20:36, 14 January 2026 (UTC)

Writing large sections based on a limited number of sources
[edit]Good morning. I appreciate your good faith intentions, but creating massive sections with supposedly in-depth explorations of the show's themes based on a cursory preview on ANN and a couple of reviews of the first episode clearly violates WP:UNDUE. I wouldn't mind if you wrote a long analytical section based on multiple sources after the show ended, but as it is, it just looks like you're over-quoting a couple of previews from just the first episode. You're not going to rewrite this section after every new episode, are you? Solaire the knight (talk) 05:41, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, thank you for reaching out. I created a discussion on the article's talk page, since I think it might be better placed there so that other people can also give opinions. I'll respond to your reply over there in a moment. Best, Crestfalling (talk/contribs) 05:45, 21 January 2026 (UTC)

Hello! I saw your talk page and someone said that there is a task center. Do you have any tips for that and editing? I just want to help the community effectively and learn new things. Thanks! --Jonny5679 (talk) 03:49, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Jonny5679 Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I (and the rest of the community) appreciate your willingness to help. The Wikipedia:Task Center is exactly what it sounds like: it has a list of things you can do, and an explanation of how to do it. The ones labeled as suitable for "all editors" are the best to start with. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
- Alternatively, if you want to start with something more simple, to get a sense for how Wikipedia works, you can go your homepage, which is linked at Special:Homepage. It should have a list of suggested edits, such as adding links to articles.
- If you have specific interests, such as a topic or article you want to improve, then just let me know, and I can give some guidance on where to start. I've also left a message on your talk page with some additional helpful links. Best, Crestfalling (talk/contribs) 04:09, 12 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from ArtVandelay23 (21:24, 14 February 2026)
[edit]Hello!
I am curious about moving a page for a school with an outdated title. I the Brandeis School of Business and Economics is still titled their former name, Brandeis International Business School - [1]
But I am not able to find the 'move' button in order to correct the title. Any input on the matter would be highly appreciated!
Thanks so much. --ArtVandelay23 (talk) 21:24, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
- @ArtVandelay23 Hi! To move a page, your account needs to be autoconfirmed, which would be granted four days after registration, so that's easy enough. That being said, moving a page is a fairly tricky procedure, since it requires fixing incoming links, changing related references to the article, and other technical aspects.
- Because of this, Wikipedia has instituted guidelines regarding when moving a page is appropriate, with the relevant guidelines being WP:NAMECHANGES and WP:OFFICIAL. Essentially, a page should only be moved to an new official title if a majority of contemporary and independent reliable sources use the new title. This is because Wikipedia is meant for a wide audience, and we want to make sure that readers don't get confused if they search for the more common historical name.
- I did a check of online sources, and it seems like it's currently mixed; there are several news articles mentioning the name change, but as for online college directories, only a few have adopted the new name. That being said, it was only a cursory search, and if you find that there is enough evidence that the above criteria are met, you can make a move request using WP:RSPM. If other users agree, then the page will be moved, and they'll even handle the technical parts of moving as well. If you have any questions about the linked guidelines or how to make a move request, feel free to follow up. Best, Crestfalling (talk/contribs) 22:54, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
- Got it, I appreciate your guidance and response! ArtVandelay23 (talk) 20:36, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
please fix your script (and the broken articles it has touched)
[edit]For example, this reference was broken at this edit. As I write this, there are about a dozen broken articles listed in Category:CS1 errors: redundant parameter; you may not have been responsible for all of them but you were the responsible editor of the mainspace articles that I checked.
—Trappist the monk (talk) 22:48, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi. I've stopped using AWB and am checking right now. Thank you. Crestfalling (talk/contribs) 22:48, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- Shouldn't Anime News Network not be italicized in the reference though? The article itself isn't. I disagree with mass changing of the website and publisher parameters like this. Skyshiftertalk 02:06, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi. The citation style uses italicization as a way to mark that it's a website (work) being referred to; for example, the article for BBC News marks itself as a website in the template. This italicization is distinct from how it would normally be referred to in prose.
- The reason I'm doing this is to bring articles into compliance with the documentation for citation style 1, which states that "On websites, in most cases 'work' is the name of the website" and "if the work title as given by the site/publication would be exactly or substantially the same as the name of the publisher, do not use the 'publisher' parameter" [emphasis added]. As such, it's not a matter of preferred style, but rather direct advice for how to use citations correctly.
- That being said, I understand that mass changes shouldn't be done if there's any doubt. Please let me know what you think of my above reasoning. I promise I won't make any more AWB changes until a reply, and I also promise that if you still disagree, then I'll seek consensus before making any changes. Thank you! Crestfalling (talk/contribs) 02:15, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
- I believe a consensus is needed simply because using |publisher= for non-italicized websites is very, very common, and widespread through multiple FAs even.
Even if policy says otherwise, the matter of fact is that, in practice, this is not followed, even for our highest quality articles. So yes, I think this needs discussion. Skyshiftertalk 02:26, 16 February 2026 (UTC)- In fact the documentation for CS1 is not a policy, as it reads on the top of the page: "It is not one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, and may reflect varying levels of consensus". Skyshiftertalk 02:29, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
- I've opened a project discussion seeking wider feedback if you're interested in commenting. I tried my best to clearly and accurately convey your points; if you feel that I didn't do so, you have permission to edit that part of my comment. Again, thank you for bringing this up, and I apologize if I seemed a bit curt earlier; I understand your points, and didn't mean to accidentally come off as dismissive by pointing to a how-to-page. Crestfalling (talk/contribs) 04:39, 16 February 2026 (UTC)
- Alright, I'll do that then. I wanted to make animanga articles more consistent since it seems to vary a lot within and across articles, but I understand your point that the preferred format isn't that clear. Thank you for the feedback, and I'm really sorry if this caused any trouble. Hopefully some comments from others can help determine if it's a change worth making. Best, Crestfalling (talk/contribs) 02:33, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Leeanne Oli (12:14, 17 February 2026)
[edit]I’d like to create a page for Australian Cobberdog Society Inc, it’s a not for profit organisation with its soul purpose to provide support to Australian Cobberdog breeders and promote this beautiful breed in development with Dogs Australia. When I’ve tried to create this page Wikipedia gave me a warning and said that I couldn’t create this page as the system believed the Australian Cobberdog Society is a business which it is not. Could you please guide me how to make this work. Many thanks Leeanne --Leeanne Oli (talk) 12:14, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi! To create an article on Wikipedia, you should first make sure that the subject meets notability guidelines. To explain it simply, the subject should have received substantial third-party coverage in reliable sources. This is because information on Wikipedia needs to be sourced so that readers can know it's correct, as well as neutral (so the article can't be based entirely on the company's own information). For more information, please check this page: Wikipedia:Notability.
- If you believe that to be the case, then you can write a draft and submit it for review using this link. If your edit gets tripped by the automated filter, it's possible that it's detected certain words that sound promotional, so try to write in as neutral a tone as possible (which is also part of Wikipedia's standards). Finally, if you're personally involved with this organization, then please consider reading this guide; if you're not, then don't worry about it. Best, Crestfalling (talk/contribs) 16:51, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
