Hi! I'm Crestfalling, and it's nice to meet you.
As of January 2026, I'm active here and should see any messages quickly. Emails are fine too, but I'll respond on-wiki unless specifically asked otherwise.
I'm a longtime lurker who finally registered an account. After a few months of editing, I think I've gotten a decent grasp on things, but of course, there's always still more to learn. I appreciate any feedback, and thank you if you've helped improved one of my edits.

I usually work in the area of WikiProject Anime and manga, helping to add content along with ensuring that existing info meets standards. Rather than pursuing any set standard for an article, my goal is to incorporate any relevant and useful information from existing reliable sources, however much that may be. As such, sometimes I might be satisfied that an article is GA-class in a few days (Sakura Trick), and other times, it can be a months-long project (The Executioner and Her Way of Life).
Aside from that, I enjoy copyediting; I see it as a small amount of work to help the efforts of others be more easily understood. If that sounds interesting to you, considering joining the Guild of Copy Editors.
Finally, I like fixing typos using AutoWikiBrowser.
- Chinese: near-native reading, advanced writing. I can understand most texts that aren't overly technical, especially if given some context. My writing is close to the level needed for Wikipedia editing, but it takes me forever. I'm open to proofreading translations, just ask.
- Spanish: advanced reading, close-to-advanced writing. I can understand texts about everyday topics, but I'd need a dictionary to verify any translation. My writing is passable but definitely not at the level where I'll be writing in it anytime soon.
- Japanese: basic reading. My understanding of grammar and syntax is ahead of my vocabulary. I can generally understand (with context) where machine translation typically makes errors. I've been studying it a lot over the past few months, and it's slowly improving.

Phoenix wrote the vast majority of the article, and was the original nominator.

Spent 10 hours reviewing the article, suggesting sources, and spot-checking the text (including translations). Co-nommed. Will work on improving Reception in a bit.

I update these pretty often, just transcluding them so they don't overwhelm this page's edit history.
