Proposed flags of Utah (2002)
- Article(s)
- Flag of Utah
- Request
- Alright, I know this is a tall order, but would it be possible for someone to please create SVG files for the 35 finalist designs of the 2002 Salt Lake Tribune contest which attempted to find a new flag for Utah? They can all be seen if you go on this page here, scroll down to the "2002" section, and then click on the PDF link titled "vol. 35 no. 2 (April-June 2002)", and then scroll down to Page 8. I know there's a lot of them, so even if anyone wanted to have a go at creating only some of them rather than all, it would certainly be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Typographical SVG errors

Same errors in the German version
- Request
- These graphics contain several small errors, either in preview (as shown in the file description page), in the full SVG or in the rendered PNG:
- C26H Fog → C2H6 Fog
- HO/NH23 → H2O/NH3 (2 occurrences)
- CH4–N2 clouds → CH4–N2 clouds
- Is there an SVG expert who can fix them? --Leyo 18:16, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- Discussion
- @Leyo Am I understanding correctly that, for example, "C2H6 Fog" is correct and "C26H Fog" is incorrect? If so, the files you posted all look correct to me, I don't see any of the incorrect versions on them. It's possible that your browser is rendering the text on these SVGs wrong for some reason, what browser/OS do you use? (For reference, these images load correctly for me on Firefox and Chrome on Mac OS Ventura). Dragon401k (talk) 03:10, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
- My Chrome browser, also, does not show any error. Maybe you (Leyo) could refresh while by-passing your cache memory. On a Mac, this is accomplished with Command-R. —RCraig09 (talk) 06:05, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Dragon401k and RCraig09: Did you check the file description pages (File:Titan atmosphere detail.svg/File:Titan atmosphere detail de.svg)? The first two errors exist in all browsers I tested, i.e. seems to be browser-independent.
- The same errors occur in rendered PNG versions, e.g. /media/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/41/Titan_atmosphere_detail.svg/2000px-Titan_atmosphere_detail.svg.png.
- The third error occurs in the full SVG view (/media/wikipedia/commons/4/41/Titan_atmosphere_detail.svg) in Firefox, but not in MS Edge.
- In addition, the typographically correct way to write the molecular formula of e.g. ethane is with subscript numbers (C2H6), not with small numbers (C2H6). That could also be improved in the graphics, if possible. --Leyo 08:25, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
- I'm seeing the error in some PNG renderings (example), though the two SVG file description pages are OK. You are correct, re subscript-versus-smalltext. Sorry, solving this puzzle is above my pay grade. —RCraig09 (talk) 13:46, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
- Are you sure about the file description pages? The image shown there is also an PNG rendering (/media/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/41/Titan_atmosphere_detail.svg/800px-Titan_atmosphere_detail.svg.png). --Leyo 16:12, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
- For me (Chrome for Mac), the big renderings (at the top of the file description pages File:Titan atmosphere detail.svg and File:Titan atmosphere detail de.svg) are correct. But the "Other resolutions:" examples are not even consistent with each other! Some are correct; some are wrong. It's a mystery to me. Sorry. —RCraig09 (talk) 16:25, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
- Converting the texts to paths would likely solve the issue. --Leyo 20:51, 25 May 2023 (UTC)

- Per the discussion located here, these versions of the coat of arms of Great Britain and the coat of arms of the United Kingdom are inaccurately depicting the lion support as wearing St Edward's Crown when it should be wearing the Crown of Scotland as is depicted elsewhere on the arms. A correction has already been made to the current version of the arms here and so this request is for the historical arms to also be corrected. Please note that for the inescutcheon of the arms of Hanover on the 1801-1816 and 1816-1837 arms the electoral bonnet and crown respectively are correctly depicted and do not need to be changed. Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom (1837-1901)

- Armorial of the United Kingdom
- Request
- There is currently a file entitled File:Coat of arms of the United Kingdom (1837-1952).svg, however different crowns were used on the coat of arms between 1837-1901 and 1901-1952. The existing file uses the Tudor Crown and therefore correctly depicts the coat of arms of the United Kingdom from 1901-1952, I have put in a name change request elsewhere for the existing file to be renamed to this effect. Queen Victoria used St Edward's Crown, and therefore there is not currently a depiction of the coat of arms of the United Kingdom for the period 1837-1901. See for example the coat of arms used on original copies of legislation passed in 1837, 1882, and 1900. The new file that needs to be created should be essentially identical to File:Coat of arms of the United Kingdom (1837-1952).svg but with the crown replaced by File:Crown of Saint Edward (Heraldry).svg|user=Ebonelm}} Ebonelm (talk) 17:44, 21 May 2023 (UTC)

- The logo used by the North Carolina Courage has two stars at the top (like the Nottingham Forest F.C. logo), but they are not shown on the current image used by the page. The only good substitute (linked earlier in the request) becomes distorted when it is uploaded and resized by a bot. I don't know if there is problem with the file but if someone could find a substitute svg or webp file of the logo, I would greatly appreciate it. North Carolina General Assembly Seals

- North Carolina Senate
North Carolina House of Representatives - Request
- Sorry for the double request here. Both the North Carolina Senate and House of Representatives have seals, but finding usable images has been quite hard to find. I did find these two images (1) (2) online but they are from a wood shop and have a wood texture to them. They are the actual seals per these two sources (1) (2). But, since they are both webp files, I was wondering if the texture could be changed to black and white? I think the HOR seal could be public domain since its a derivative of the state seal but I don't know about the Senate seal. If these two images can't be edited due to copyright and/or technology reasons, please ignore this request. But thank you for your time anyways and have a great day! -- DiscoA340 (talk) 22:40, 23 May 2023 (UTC)

- Hi there, thank you for your artwork. According to this shot, the white border of the taeguk looks visually thinner, and the colors of the taeguk itself (blue/red) also look physically darker, however I suggest that using the standardized Flag of South Korea's colors is still a good idea. Can somebody vectorize this album cover? I think it would be better as an SVG, because it's simple geometric shapes and text.
I don't know how you would do the fractal or if recursion is possible in SVG files (if I had that kind of knowledge I would do it myself :P) --QuickQuokka [talk • contribs] 09:03, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
