Imzadi1979.3 and IP
[change source]- Imzadi1979.3 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log))
- 24.139.162.124 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log))
I would like to request a CU investigation on the above two users. Their edits were to the same kind of topics, and they both used the unique term eolgi. Additionally, the IP did not start editing until after Imzadi1979.3 was warned. --Lithorien (talk) 22:53, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
- Note: I have just indef'd the registered user as a vandalism-only account. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:58, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
- And I blocked the IP; clearly the same user. Only (talk) 23:06, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
- Actually, I used the option to block the IP at the time I blocked the registered user, so I think that was already taken care of. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:10, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
- And I blocked the IP; clearly the same user. Only (talk) 23:06, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
User:Cls14
[change source]- Cls14 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log))
Hello I'm User:D.R Neal G and I requesting a CU to investigate Cls14 who I believe is either a local property developer or some one in his payment altering the following page Budbrooke (talk)for vested interests. Regardless of my beliefs the user mentioned has stated that he not local and basing his edits and alterations on ignorance. If he can't google it or has no knowledge of it he removes the content regardless of references, that he conveniently contests and dismisses. Certainly my beliefs about this User:Cls14 have been shaped by the thought that someone who has invested money in property in the area would not be to keen on earthquakes, tornado’s or sinkholes being mentioned.
- You are on the wrong Wikipedia. We don't have a user by that name. We also don't have the article you mention. I do see both on English Wikipedia. This is Simple English Wikipedia, a separate site. You need to ask for help at English Wikipedia. --Auntof6 (talk) 19:50, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

These users not only have similar names, they also work on similar articles. The first one listed is indef'd and globally locked. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:04, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
- This was confirmed on the English Wikipedia. Simplegoose is also a confirmed sockpuppet, and that account has been locked too, so we may be seeing new accounts editing nobility articles.
- Simplegoose (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
- The main concerns, from what I can tell from a brief glance at the discussions over there, were with page moves. That's something that Simplegoose clearly brought over here. I know I reverted a few of their moves. So I suggest we start blocking too, under the one-strike rule. Osiris (talk) 04:59, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks Osiris. I've blocked this second account. One day I'll remember to check enwiki in these cases! --Auntof6 (talk) 06:39, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
Range check requested
[change source]Could checkusers look into the User:72.64.0.0/20 range? Lots of activity in its English Wikipedia block log. We've got User:72.64.6.79 contributing here right now and some of his behavior seems questionable so far which makes me wonder if we need to block the range as well. Only (talk) 22:37, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- I have placed a 24 hour block on User:72.64.6.79 for bad behavior, and after being warned by Only. -- Enfcer (talk) 22:57, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
user:Compassionate247
[change source]user:Compassionate247 has arrived on our wiki, and has been making many changes on Pakistani languages (a sensitive and much edited area). I assume he is the same editor who is indefinitely blocked on En wiki as one of the many socks of user:Najaf ali bhayo. Macdonald-ross (talk) 10:45, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

[change source]- Dr. Neurosis (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log))
Subject area of edits, workflow of adding dubious article maintenance tags, and use of Twinkle straight from the start reminds me of User:Samlaptop85213's behaviour. Chenzw Talk 16:11, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
@Chenzw:, let me add an additional note. I checked his Enwiki stuff and his contributions are a little weird. His most recent edit was to request a page for page protection, which was not edited since Feb 2013. Also, he has added a ton of badges to his user page. Its ki nd of weird how he knew things off the bat. Etimena (talk) 20:08, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
- Too far back to match with him. And there are no socks. -DJSasso (talk) 00:21, 14 May 2016 (UTC)
LastResort4All
[change source]I (Krett12) believe 72.64.5.169 to be an IPsock of LastResort4All. Both of them seem to hate Ponyo, edit at similar times of day, always agree with each other. I'm not one to accuse socks a lot of the time, so I would like this case to be followed up with a CheckUser. Krett12 (talk) 00:11, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
LaurenCox600
[change source]- LaurenCox600 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log))
User strongly reminds me of Krett12/Computer Fizz. Same style of editing behavior, same use of behind-the-scenes sarcastic edit summaries and self-reverts with the same "oops" or "forget it" style justifications. Has heavy use of the same "vandal fighting" tool (Twinkle) right from the start. Her editing also began (as a user) on 24 June, which is the same date that Computer Fizz stopped editing. When I brought this issue up to see what another editor (Auntof6) thought I should do, the replies from LaurenCox600 followed quickly by the first edits from Computer Fizz since he stopped on the 24th seem to reinforce the behavior evidence that they are either the same person or strongly related. I am requesting a CheckUser based on the similar behavior patterns. Thank you, Lithorien Talk • Changes 08:52, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
- Just because I resemble them doesn't mean I'm a sock of them. Before you get me into more trouble I will say I am NOT Krett12 or Computer Fizz. I'm not related to them period. And no I'm not the same person as them either. --LaurenCox600 (chat me!) 12:09, 1 July 2016
- About similar reply times, that is because I have been editing inactively but will be returning because I am going to watch this discussion very closely. Besides, any reasonable prrson knows that I am not a sockpupeterr and never will be. I have been here for nearly a year, this is ridiculous. Please never do this again. Computer Fizz (talk) 21:58, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
- Note: User:Bsadowski1 has blocked the LaurenCox600 account with several socks. Only (talk) 02:45, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
- @Only: I think they turned out to be a sock of someone else. I have a suspicion who, but I'm reluctant to say. I also think the "IM NOT BEING DISRUPTIVE IM JUST REVERTING VANDALISM!!!!!!" and stuff might be to get people to think that.
- I swear that account is not mine. Krett12 (talk) 05:55, 15 July 2016 (UTC)

- SanJoseGirl6 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log))
Editing the same type of articles. Similar introductory messages on their user pages. Similar phrasing of talk messages. New user SanJoseGirl6 denying (on my talk page) that she is a sock of LaurenCox600 even though she's a brand new user and no one had suggested that she was. New user going out of her way to praise LaurenCox600 and say how badly she has been treated (on her own user page and LaurenCox600's talk page). --Auntof6 (talk) 05:45, 26 July 2016 (UTC)

Similarity in editing: vexatious and over-detailed changes to data on fossil animal size, weight, dimensions. Macdonald-ross (talk) 16:50, 2 August 2016 (UTC)

- Behavioral evidence that these are same user. The first is blocked for 31 hours for vandalism. After the block, the second made a first edit that was identical to the first edit made by the first IP. That edit was to add the Sharedipedu template naming Ohio State University as the source of the IP. The IP geolocates to a different state. If confirmed, the misleading template should be removed from the page, unless a different educational institution is identified as the souce of the IP. The second IP has already been warned for creating bad pages (by Lolcats20) and for project disruption (by me). Etamni | ✉ | ✓ 12:42, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
- I don't think the use of checkuser will be able to shed any light on the matter here. Data returned by checkuser is limited to user agents, as well as the identities of registered editors who have edited from these IPs (if any). Chenzw Talk 14:24, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
- Have removed the School IP tag, as there is no evidence to support the tagging.--Peterdownunder (talk) 20:31, 20 September 2016 (UTC)

- Donald trump tikeem cumberbatch (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log))
These two accounts have been vandalizing the same types of articles and creating similar bad pages. As Donald trump tikeem cumberbatch was blocked, Poopsniffer282 was created and was used to continue vandalizing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eurodyne (talk • contribs)

- Anas647 (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log))
These accounts have been following the same pattern of disruptive behavior and creating bad pages. IP 104.145.234.119 is universally blocked, User:Anas647 is blocked at Enwiki as a sock of User:Aboobackeramani Rus793 (talk) 18:49, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
- There is no evidence to link the named user to other disruptive edits. However it would seem that further disruptive edits from any of the above accounts should result in blocking.--Peterdownunder (talk) 23:10, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
