The Thirty-second Filipino Wikipedians meet-up in Metro Manila (Manila 32) was held on May 17, 2025. As the community celebrates the International Museum Day 2025, PPC conducted a Binondo Heritage Tour and GLAM Visit at Chinatown Museum for its members. It started at 10:00 AM and ended at 2:45 PM. Participants visited the Binondo Church and the Chinatown Museum. The meet-up concluded with a lunch at Chuan Kee, a Chinese restaurant located at Ongpin Street, Binondo, Manila.
The event was organized by the Pilipinas Panorama Community — a thematic Wikimedia organization based in the National Capital Region (NCR) of the Philippines.
Event Timeline
[edit]- 10:00 AM - Meetup at Escolta Ferry Station beside the Pasig River in Binondo, Manila
- Heritage walk started with a view of the historic Jones and Pasig River Esplanade
- Walk entering the Binondo Chinatown Arch along the Quintin Paredes Street and ending at the Roman Ongpin Monument
- Visit at the Binondo Church
- Crossed at the Hong Bon Bridge above the Estero de Magdalena
- 11:00 AM - Entered the Lucky Chinatown Mall which houses the Chinatown Museum
- Visit at the Fine Philippine Book Collection beside the Chinatown Museum
- GLAM Visit at the Chinatown Museum
- 01:30 PM - Lunch at the Chuan Kee, Binondo's oldest fast food restaurant, located at Ongpin Street.
- Meet-up conlcuded at 02:45 PM
