WP:DICTDEF, this is just another word for treatise as the article admits, it should either be redirected there or deleted, and it does not seem like a useful redirect so I believe it should be deleted. This article was previously deleted in 2005 and then recreated. - car chasm (talk) 19:08, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Convert to dab page. The word "tractate" has a specific meaning in reference to the Talmud; I imagine most people who type "tractate" into the search bar (note that the article averages 800 visitors p/m) are looking for the article Masekhet. But that isn't the only meaning of the term, so a straight redirect to that title wouldn't be appropriate. Per WP:NOPRIMARY, I think tractate could be a two-item dab page linking to treatise and masekhet, as well as retaining the current "see also" links.
