Semi-advertorialized article about a martial artist, not properly referenced as passing inclusion criteria for martial artists. As always, martial artists are not "inherently" notable just for existing, and have to be shown to pass WP:GNG on reliable source coverage about them in media and/or books -- but this is referenced entirely to directly affiliated primary sources that are not support for notability, with no evidence of GNG-worthy reliable source coverage shown at all. Delete: Nothing about this person, there's a Para-olympian with the same name that gets a bit of coverage [1]. This martial artist isn't notable and has a lack of coverage. Oaktree b (talk) 00:50, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Delete Martial arts rank does not determine notability nor does training under unnamed "various world’s renowned and best Karate and kobudo sensei." None of the coverage shown is from independent sources nor did my search did find multiple examples of significant independent coverage of him that would show he meets WP:GNG. In addition, there's no evidence he meets any of the notability criteria at WP:MANOTE. Papaursa (talk) 18:34, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
He is a well know and prominent figure in India for teaching authentic Japanese martial arts. Also a primary source for Shitoryu. We would not advise that the article should be deleted. Wikipedia as important source for information and if this article is deleted then it will leave Indian people hard to find information authentic teachers of Japanese martial arts. The bar for a Wikipedia article is not "did stuff", it's "received WP:GNG-worthy coverage in reliable sources about the stuff he did in media and books fully independent of his own self-published web presence", of which this article cites none. Bearcat (talk) 22:13, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
