Prod removed, thus listed here : the article doe not cover a notable person, the only citations are to the persons facebook and myspace. Rmzadeh (talk) 06:17, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- This article does cover a notable person (a regionally known musician), but was constructed in a somewhat slapdash fashion. If I edit it to include proper citations, thus proving notability, can deletion be avoided? I have already begun this by updating the introductory paragraph. Full disclosure: I am not the primary author of the original article, but I know a great deal about the subject of the article. I know enough about Wikipedia to bring this article in line with Wiki practices, but I apologize in advance for my lack of practical experience with those practices. I am reading the relevant articles and trying to learn, and any suggestions would be appreciated.Djwidmayer (talk) 19:25, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- The short answer is yes, if edited to include proper citations deletion can be avoided. Criteria for musicians notability is covered in wp:music and a general notability guide is covered at wp:n. If you can provide significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject then the article will probably avoid deletion. - Delete. Looks like he fails WP:MUSIC. A couple of local awards doesn't make it. Niteshift36 (talk) 07:18, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
