Peace is a state of balance and understanding in yourself and between others, where respect is gained by the acceptance of differences, tolerance persists, conflicts are resolved through dialog, peoples rights are respected and their voices are heard, and everyone is at their highest point of serenity without social tension.

Presidential election templates
Can you please stop nominating them for merger with the main election templates. This goes against long-standing consensus that the main national election template series should not include indirect elections. The Iraq discussion was a one-off aberration from this consensus. Number 57 23:52, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
Labeled Sections
While I really appreciate what you're doing by cleaning up less managed templates, please be careful to avoid deleting labeled section tags as you did here[1] with the "Cities" section. While it doesn't cause any visible change in the page edited, any other page transcluding that section (in this case Template:History of Canada sidebar and every page embedding that) will have that content broken.
Cheers, and thanks again for your work, UnlikelyEvent (talk) 22:19, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
January 2026
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war, according to the reverts you've made to Template:History of Canada navbox. This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate with others, avoid editing disruptively, and try to reach a consensus – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.
Important points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive behavior – regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.
You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution if discussions reach an impasse. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to engage in edit warring, you may be blocked from editing. – Jonesey95 (talk) 14:25, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
Block appeal

Request reason:
HJ Mitchell, another IP vandal impacting my ability to edit. Can you fix this? WikiCleanerMan (talk) 17:01, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
Decline reason:
The more I look, the fewer explanations I can think of for this coincidence. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:02, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Your account is now blocked directly. In my attempt to rule out your connection to the target of the block, I ended up ruling you in. This has had a second opinion from another CU. You have, almost beyond doubt, been socking using temporary accounts and using temporary accounts for harassment. If you have an explanation that absolves you, which would need to be extraordinary, you can appeal via UTRS or to ArbCom. Note that this block is only reviewable by checkusers owing to the nature of the evidence. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:02, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Isn't it possible someone else as been using my internet connection? I did not harasses anyone. What evidence do you have to suggest contrary to me? Ive been logged in all today. I haven't logged out once. WikiCleanerMan (talk) 21:38, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Based on analysis of the evidence, that is extraordinarily unlikely unless there are things you want to tell me about your connection or anyone else who may be using it that would shed more light. From the evidence available, if the target of the original block wasn't you, it was someone using your computer. And this happened a few minutes after your last edit on this account, then your appeal came a few minutes after I placed the block. The previous time you were caught by an autoblock follows an identical pattern and there is other logged-out socking that needs explaining (though that is much more trivial and, while indisputably you, less worrying). You are welcome to make an unblock request for an independent checkuser to evaluate, or if you have information that can't be seen from a screen, you can send it to me, UTRS, or ArbCom. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 00:10, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- I started an appeal at UTRS. You know its possible for someone else using Wifi without my knowledge. Now I have to fix it and find out who is doing this. My home is divided and a family lives upstairs. So suspect number 1. I haven't logged out for a while. Last time it still wasn't me doing the vandalism. I find it ridiculous you won't share your evidence. TA like random IPs would still come back to the same pages to repeat their vandalism. Are my edits on my account anywhere near as disruptive? WikiCleanerMan (talk) 00:27, 29 January 2026 (UTC)

They just did...From the evidence available, if the target of the original block wasn't you, it was someone using your computer. The previous time you were caught by an autoblock follows an identical pattern and there is other logged-out socking that needs explaining (though that is much more trivial and, while indisputably you, less worrying).
And, at a certain point, they literally, legally, aren't allowed to share anymore information publicly. – LuniZunie(talk) 00:35, 29 January 2026 (UTC)- For the benefit of anyone else reading, this is much more than just a shared IP address and is certainly not random. By policy, that's about as much as I can say in public. The rest, I will leave to someone else. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 00:36, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- Like I already said, My home is divided and a family lives upstairs. So suspect number 1. WikiCleanerMan (talk) 00:42, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- Do they use your computer? And do they have knowledge of the inner workings of Wikipedia? And share similar interests? And edit at precisely the moment you step away from your computer? HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 00:45, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- Probably at the same time. Two kids live upstairs and cause a lot of noise. My computer is under my control. It stays with me at all times. I edit Wikipedia everyday. Minor edits or something a bit more, more or less. Interests as me? No. I avoid my neighbors like everyone else. In fact, I wasn't away from my computer when you did the block. Like I also said, I was still editing when the block notice appeared as I was trying to tag a page for T5. I am also checking my email and trying to find work. So I am doing multiple things at once. And this was in the morning for me. And it likely they were online at the same general timeframe. WikiCleanerMan (talk) 00:52, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- Any response? WikiCleanerMan (talk) 21:50, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- To recap: I am absolutely certain that you have logged out to vandalise in the past. I am absolutely certain that if the person responsible for the harassment is not you then they know you very well and you know who they are. Unless someone is using an identical computer to yours and is using the same connection and only editing at precisely the times that you are not. To say that stretches credulity is an understatement. Until you tell me something I can believe, I'm out. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 22:57, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- One last thing: if you tell me the truth, there will be a way back for you. Even if the truth is that you were harassing another editor, you'll have some explaining to do and you'll be blocked for a substantial amount of time, but there will be a way back. If there is another explanation, I'm all ears. But there is no back that starts with "I don't know anything about it". HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 23:47, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- Internet connection can be used by other people outside of yourself. Its possible they found out my wifi password and started using it. I am telling the truth. You can look up my login and logout history. You can see when I last logged out. It has been a couple of weeks. WikiCleanerMan (talk) 00:30, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
- HJ Mitchell, you said I did harassment. Who am I supposed to have harassed? You are not giving me the benefit of the doubt. Did you see my login and logout record? I was actually editing to improve the site. You're accusing me of something I haven't done. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 15:34, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
- @WikiCleanerMan You have been accused of logged out SOCKING means - someone who is not logged in edited violating wiki policies. You do not need to log out of your Wikipedia logged-in session. It could be the same computer, different browser, same browser - incognito mode, and other possibilities.
- I don’t know what technical evidence they have against you. Your best bet is to have another CU look at the evidence. If you have made a poor judgement and made a mistake - please just come clean. It would be hard for you to prove you didn’t do this. 🐈Cinaroot 💬 18:21, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
- But I haven't done anything of the sort. I was editing while logged in. I don't have those other capabilities. I was actually making legitimate edits when the block was launched. And like I said it was probably people living upstairs doing those edits. I bet the saw the physical copy of my WiFi credentials when they had come downstairs and began using it to make these disruptive edits. I am not responsible for others. And really no benefit of doubt has been given. I will change my credentials, but I need the block removed. I'm being blamed for the actions of others. Request reason:
Requesting the block to be removed. I fundamentally believe the neighbors upstairs are using my WiFi credentials to make these disruptive edits. Blocking admin is not giving me the benefit of the doubt despite multiple explanations. I will change the access to my internet connection to ensure nothing like this happens. Jpgordon, you lifted the last IP block. Everything I have said above is true. Can you please look at it? I did not make these edits that led to this current range block. I am actually trying to edit in a positive direction. I am trying to create articles and have a lot in my sandbox to add to the knowledge on Wikipedia.
Decline reason:
Even without factoring in the behavioral aspect, the CU information contradicts the 'my neighbors upstairs' argument and other things you've said above. I'll echo HJ Mitchell above and recommend that you be forthcoming about the circumstances around your block. Aoidh (talk) 20:19, 30 January 2026 (UTC)

Aoidh, what I'm saying is the truth. Maybe my computer was compromised. But I as the user certainly did not harass or violate the editing rules. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 20:22, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
- The technical evidence simply does not support either of your claims. I reviewed it independently and came to the same conclusion as the others, before looking at the two other CUs who recorded the private data for review by WP:CHECKUSERs. That makes four separate checkusers who all came to the same conclusion. Frankly, this is the end of the line for your current approach. --Yamla (talk) 20:23, 30 January 2026 (UTC)

- That makes me the fifth checkuser to agree. In truth, I am losing faith that this is going to go anywhere. The idea that your neighbors saw your WiFi credentials, remembered them, and both decided to use your internet connection to a) edit Wikipedia, b) LOUTSOCK and vandalize inside a very small time period during which you were logged out, from a device identical to yours, and c) harass a Wikipedian in a way that required quite a deep understanding of Wikipedia "politics" (i.e. not trivial talk page trolling), is basically impossible to believe.Given your comments here, I can't think of any explanation that would satisfy me as to b), and given that, I would struggle to believe anything you said to exonerate yourself from c). Other checkusers may have differing opinions. Giraffer (talk) 11:38, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
