Hello, ReaderofthePack. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "William Browne".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 21:26, 10 December 2024 (UTC)

Hello, ReaderofthePack,
No, this wasn't a draft you wrote, this page was a redirect leftover from a page move you did that another editor turned into a draft article. But since you made the first edit on the page when you moved the original, Twinkle sees you as the draft creator, hence this message. Just a little editing tool confusion. Liz Read! Talk! 21:28, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
No worries! I was wondering when I'd edited on that topic - not really the usual type of thing I'd edit/create but also not entirely out of my interest/strike zone. Thanks! ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 19:34, 13 December 2024 (UTC)

Electric Tale of Pikachu

I've closed the nomination as a result of the finds discovered during the nomination, but I noticed you seemed very invested in trying to find more coverage for this subject. I plan to incorporate some of the AfD's content into the article soon; would you be willing to help me with further research and expansion of the subject? I understand you're busy and this is a very small subject, but two pairs of hands are better than one, especially when it comes to digging up more coverage (Especially since there was a lot found in the AfD I wasn't able to find in my BEFORE). Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 21:32, 26 December 2024 (UTC)

Sure - I'm not on as frequently as I once was, but I'm willing - the biggest barrier is honestly going to be sourcing from the era. There is a ton of sourcing from the late 90s and early 2000s that just isn't available on the internet, particularly as it applies to manga/anime related topics, so that's going to be the biggest issue. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 12:34, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
Given my resources are largely restricted to the internet, perhaps Internet Archive or Newspapers.com would be good places to start? They're some of the few places to keep records on stuff that old. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 17:02, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
I did a search with Newspapers.com for the AfD - granted, I was really only looking for the very obvious articles. Internet Archive may have something as well, but that will be a bit harder to search - but might be successful when it comes to some of the anime and manga themed magazines of the day. Hello I am new here can someone please help me EineGroßeDecke222 (talk) 16:36, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
@ReaderofthePack @Tokyogirl79 I don't know how to create a user page and I don't even know if I have to make one but for some reason I don't have a user page by the way I wrote this with Google Translate EineGroßeDecke222 (talk) 16:41, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
Good morning! I recommend taking the training here - it will help you with editing Wikipedia. However, you mentioned that you are using Google Translate to write in English. Machine translations like Google Translate are not always accurate or grammatically correct, so I would not recommend directly editing on pages. I would instead suggest offering help with finding German language sources at WP:GERMANY. You might also want to try editing at the German Wikipedia. I'll also translate this into German using Google Translate.
I am also going to ask at the German WikiProject to see if someone fluent can help you. I have only a very rudimentary knowledge of the German language.
Guten Morgen!
ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 11:26, 3 July 2025 (UTC)

Hello, ReaderofthePack,

I was surprised that you closed this discussion as SNOW after less than one day when only one editor had participated in the discussion along with the nominator. I wouldn't be surprised if, with a normal closure, the outcome wouldn't have been the same but I just don't see how this could be a SNOW closure. Maybe you, instead, saw it as a Speedy deletion? Thanks for any explanation you can offer. Liz Read! Talk! 21:02, 3 July 2025 (UTC)

Hi Liz - I closed that for primarily two reasons. The first is that the article looked pretty promotional in tone. The second is that his notability was based on his books, Manifesto of a Lover and The Subdued Sound, both of which had multiple delete arguments. There were also some concerns of some of the sourcing being falsified - the evidence towards that points heavily to this being the case. For example, one of the sources used to back up an award doesn't even mention him. The only legit claim would be that he was involved in journalism, but it appears that it's more to places that are open to user submissions and none of that led to any coverage of himself.
I know that SNOW is typically used for articles with a large amount of participants, but the chances of this person's article surviving a full AfD are so slim that it didn't really seem necessary to run it for a full week. I don't think the outcome would have been any different, not when the main claims to fame were non-notable and the sourcing used for notability (in those articles) were so questionable.
I have no problem if you want to re-open this and run it for a full 7 days to gain more consensus. I do think the end result will be the same, but I don't have a problem with it being re-opened. I can also edit the AfD closure to add these details. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 22:09, 3 July 2025 (UTC)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Zxcvbnm was:
This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are:
Make sure you add references that meet these criteria before resubmitting. Learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Right now it fails WP:GNG. However, this article should be SIGCOV that has not yet been incorporated into the reception. With that, it should likely squeak by notability.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 08:48, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
  • @Zxcvbnm: With reception, do you mean that you want the reception to be in its own section? So far I've been including it in the sub-section for each individual game. I can move that all down into a general section, if that's what you are looking for. I just need to know what you have in mind. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 11:39, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
Game by game reception is fine, but some element of full series reception is also needed, and there are sources that say it, but I suggested another source that contains it. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 18:27, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
Well... many of the reviews do tend to look at the series as a whole. From what I've seen of the series from working on the article, it's one of those cases where the individual games can be played as standalone entries but don't make as much sense story-wise unless you play them all. (My knowledge is limited generally to watching a video of Hotel getting played.) ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 18:39, 23 September 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Rusty Lake (series) (October 18)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Pokelego999 was:
The reception section uses a heavy amount of WP:SYNTH (Making connections where none exist) and is mostly plucking reviews from individual games; notability of the series is not WP:INHERITED from the individual, notable games that did get reviews and coverage. This needs some more coverage on the series *as a whole*, not just on individual elements of it.
