why create a draft when there is already an article on the movie Hanu-Man where it can be added under the segment Music? I think you should add it there if any information mentioned in the draft that does not already exist on the article Hanu-Man itself and with reliable sources. the draft is fine but it is questionable as to why this needs its own separate article. Why not add it under Music segment on page Hanu-Man? There are many movie soundtracks and they all are mentioned under Music segment on the movie's page. But there is separate soundtrack article for Hi Nanna (soundtrack), Jersey (soundtrack), Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (soundtrack), Sita Ramam (soundtrack), etc. like them these too made. It has more information and can be added dubbed versions, dubbed versions can't be added in film's music section. That's why this needs and separate soundtrack article. Good question. I did not notice cinetrak. Looks unreliable without any information on owners, employees. I will say unreliable but let me add it to ICTF post for others to have a say in it. Hi @RangersRus, twitter link shared as reference are that of the journalist themselves and their take on the movie. the said journalist are being quoted verbatim. news portals have covered half of the tweets or just a few tweets without followups. for example Neelesh Mishra's 1st tweet was covered by news portals, but his followup tweet where he has clarified that he has not seen the series https://x.com/neeleshmisra/status/1830119252122354005. what should be the SOP in this case? If the tweet was picked and covered by the news media reliable source, then the news source can be shown along with the tweet it mentions. Vir Sanghvi's tweet was covered by Firstpost news, and that is ok and in same way if you can find news media covering the tweet of Manak Gupta, then please use the media source. Neelesh tweet was covered by Firstpost also. It has to be secondary independent reliable source covering the tweet that they find noteworthy and not anything else. Tweet itself cannot be used as source. If news media thinks that a statement made is noteworthy then it is covered in their article and that is what needs to be shown on the page and not the statements made directly from the twitter source. i am aligned on this, but out of curiosity, when we are stating what a person said, why can't their own tweet be used a reference and a source of truth? their tweet is being used as verbatim, and not being extrapolated. Tweets are personal social media accounts, considered self published and tweets that are not covered by reliable sources are likely to constitute undue weight. Maybe he did not see then but saw later. What news media found noteworthy to report from his tweet is whether the hijackers used false names such as Bhola, Shankar, Burger, Doctor and to this he found it true as covered by many independent reliable sources. @Charliehdb: news9live is reliable as it is a channel of TV9 network. Others like Pinkvilla, IndiaToday, Indianexpress are all OK as well. These were the sources you had question on or did I miss anything? You can also ask in ictfsources talk page to get more views on news9live but I am pretty sure others will call it reliable too. Please continue purging it from articles. The only exceptions should be pre-2010 South Indian films articles as they don't have many sources. I will look at those two pages. But there can not be any exceptions for any year articles when it comes to unreliable sources. I sympathize with you but I can not do so because of Wikipedia policy and guidelines. I have also seen arguments by other editors that so and so page has the same source so why not use it on this page or that page. It is a database where crawlers upload court documents. Court documents, are not acceptable primary sources. The statement on the film page is supported by secondary independent new Indian Express source. "Court documents, are usually not acceptable primary sources because it is impossible for the viewer to know whether the person listed on the document is the notable subject rather than another person who happens to have the same name." In Salaar, Deccan Chronicle states "production cost of 'Salaar’ is just Rs 270 crore-plus including star and technicians fees besides making costs and VFX" which means it is not overall production cost. Hoping you can help me learn. I'm not sure why Gaurav Kapadia's coverage in publications like the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Financial Times is insufficient evidence of notability. He seems to keep a low profile—nearly zero interviews—which is one reason I want to create a Wikipedia page about him. Specifically, I don't know if I agree with the assessment that there are only passing mentions of the subject in the citations provided:

I'd like to either revise my submission to make the subject's notability clear or be convinced that the subject is indeed not notable. I'm flexible and open, so I'm very down to learn that something I'm interested in doesn't meet the criteria. But in this case, I'm reading the contribution guidelines and reasoning for not getting published, and it doesn't make sense to me. Makes me think I just need to revise something in my submission or that some information must have been muddled in my writing.

In the finance and investing world, the subject is a well known figure, and after hearing him come up in technology and NYC conversations and having to learn his story on my own, I would like to understand what else I need in order to publish this information on Wikipedia as a central source of truth for others.

If there's anything you can help me further understand, I would be happy to put in the work to meet requirements. But at a glance, I'm not seeing the lack of reputable sources or lack of in-depth coverage in the information I've provided.

Here are some criterias to consider notability.
  • The person has received a well-known and significant award or honor, or has been nominated for such an award several times; or
  • The person has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in a specific field; or
  • The person has an entry in a country's standard national biographical dictionary (e.g. the Dictionary of National Biography). * The person's work (or works) has: (a) become a significant monument, (b) been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) won significant critical attention, or (d) been represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums.
You have to avoid criteria based on search engine statistics (for example, Google hits or Alexa ranking).
Please make sure to use secondary independent reliable sources with significant coverage that shows that the subject meets the criteria above. Source like radaris.com is not accepted. Draft: Assassination of Muhammad Ghori rejected

Hi, you recently rejected my draft due to it being a fork from the Muhammad Ghori wiki. I read over the contect forks wikipedia and it states that it may be acceptable if the article proposed is a 'spin off' from the main wikipedia page (in this case Muhammad Ghori) to further expand on a sub-topic, in this case the assassination specifically of him. I was reading some of the examples on the wikipedia page describing where it may be acceptable and it was topics such as: the death of Michael Jackson spun off from the Michael Jackson wikipedia, so I feel it should be re-submitted to be added to the main space.

I can add on further information if you feel as though content is lacking specifically about his assassination, though the events specifically building up to it section has a decent amount of information already.

Notifying factual misrepresentation of data by an established editor

Please address the subtitle vandalism being carried out by an editor on the List of highest-grossing Kannada films (KGF: Chapter 2). The editor is misrepresenting facts by selectively removing reliable sources and introducing sources that do not meet established reliability standards, enabling figures to be manipulated to suit their preferred narrative.

For ranking articles, giving undue preference to any particular film undermines the fairness and integrity of the entire ranking. Additionally, the selective removal of reliable sources compromises the credibility of the financial summary, as accuracy is paramount in such data, not arbitrary adjustments.

Your comment said exactly, Please add page numbers, links, inline citation to help with verification. URLs aren’t required for sourcing but it does help. Denying based off that alone isn’t correct, if there was no sources then it would be a different thing. The editor also used {{sfn}}s with page numbers even before your review. Denied because I wasn't able to verify it then because url weren't there but yes it helps now to review it. Saw many articles where page numbers are made up with fake references so to be more cautious wanted to have the editor add more information to help with verification. I have removed citations of International Business Times used for the Box Office section of this article per WP:IBTIMES. However, this section also uses TOI to source the figures. Hello! For Draft:Manon (singer), I was wondering what qualifies for having significant achievement outside the group, as per your comment.

Manon's modeling career is well-documented, where 30+ photoshoots and collaborations with fashion brands were featured. Similarly, she had already garnered 29 million total views and followers prior to Katseye. Additionally, she was featured in several Swiss music videos and worked with the Adidas x NOVA app in which she made several contributions. This movie had several reviews at that time. But this movie was made in Ukraine and candidly depicted despicable working conditions in the Soviet Union and drastic failures of Moscow officialdom. Ukrainian sources are harder to reach now. Two Moscow based reviews are rather long, and both are available online. A brief summary of each is now added to the article. The page gets most of its content from one source with significant coverage. All other sources are either not independent of the owner of the organization or just have passing mention. Some source's reliability is also questionable. You need multiple sources with significant coverage with organization depth to pass notability. Please refer to WP:ORGCRIT and WP:NCORP. Kalki Box office discussion

Hi @RangersRus, just wanted your opinion on the BO for Kalki. I recently noticed Pinkvilla reported multiple numbers for Kalki movie. It stated it grossed 1027 crore [7], [8] which is a detailed BO report. But in an another article about Prabhas it reported 1200 [9] which has been used in Kalki wiki page. Your opinion on this? You take the latest report in this case and add that to the page. When journalists get the boxoffice figures through various sources, it gets updated in later reports after further analysis and you can see that the last two latest reports from November (excluding 3D) and December (including 3D) have same figures. It was not about picking but about which source covers more detailed worldwide report and bollywood hungama is dominant source as compared to Pinkvilla for hindi films. But as I was explaining to another editor, I was ok with him or anyone to revert my change as I think it is ok to add range from Pinkvilla too and you can see I self reverted my change on two other hindi films pages like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Stree 2. Luc Hensill - I give up

My dad was famous, he was on tv, did multiple movies, played with jimi hendrix, inspired the logo of woodstock, i don't know what it needs more :| The producer doesn't have any references, but he's ... ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Kluger how come this is accepted but my dad with multiple movies, compilations, news paper articles is not. It was in the 60-70's, I can't find any charts of the time ... So only the beatles and big others groups could be in wikipedia ? I am sorry for your frustration. Article you created like all other AFC reviewers, including me, have noted that "significant coverage" is missing. You need multiple secondary independent reliable sources for the subject to meet WP:NACTOR or WP:FILMMAKER. The other article Jack Kluger would not have made it to namespace if it went through AFC review. The page was created by Chubbles who created the page after becoming confirmed editor who can bypass AFC review and directly publish the page. I will ping @DoubleGrazing:, a veteran, who can give some opinion here about your page and on Jack Kluger. RangersRus (talk) 02:29, 27 January 2025 (UTC)

Rejection of article “Ógie Ó Ceilleachair”

Dear sir/madame,

I believe that the article I wrote on Irish author Ógie Ó Ceilleachair has been rejected due to the lack of clarity that Ó Ceilleachair is notable enough for Wikipedia. I strongly believe that Ó Ceilleachair is notible due to his achievements in the writing of “Katfish agus Scéalta Eile” and the achievements that brought to Irish language literature. Ó Ceilleachair also is already included in Ga.Wikipedia (The Irish Language Version of Wikipedia) meaning that he must have already met their notability guidelines which I presume are not much different to the ones at en.Wikipedia. Sources are the main problem I can find. Multiple secondary independent reliable sources help and not sources with promotion/advertising of selling books or podcast. It will help if you can find sources that shows if the person has created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work that have been the primary subject of multiple independent critical reviews or the person's work (or works) has: (a) become a significant monument, (b) been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) won significant critical attention, or (d) been represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums. What you are missing is significant coverage on the organisation in sources. It should have multiple secondary independent sources and should have organization depth information, not just passing mention or a nomination of someone as director or stats. Trivial or incidental coverage of a subject is not sufficient to establish notability. Deep or significant coverage in secondary independent sources provides an overview, description, commentary, survey, study, discussion, analysis, or evaluation of the product, company, or organization. Hello @RangersRus, this article is still not accepted, while it is simply sourced and almost the same as her own original Dutch Wikipedia article. Moreover, I see little difference with other English Wikipedias of (former) K3 members. Like the articel of her own predecessor Karen Damen, why is this a good article and Hanne's not?

Article Karen Damen can end up nominated for deletion because it is not a good article at all. It was created back in 2010 back and somehow the editor ended up directly publishing and skipped AFC review. For your article on Hanne Verbruggen, please find sources:
  • where singer had a single or album on any country's national music chart.
  • Has had a record certified gold or higher in at least one country.
  • Has received non-trivial coverage in independent reliable sources of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country.
  • Has released two or more albums on a major record label or on one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years, and with a roster of performers, many of whom are independently notable).

@RangersRus This is literally all mentioned and with sources in the articles K3 and K3 discography. And that's what I'm referring to. Hanne Verbruggen is not a solo singer, but is part of a pop/girl group. When I look at the personal articles of the members of Spice Girls, they refer to the discography in exactly the same way.
