Your submission at Articles for creation: Faye Treacy (September 1)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by CASSIOPEIA was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Please note independent, reliable sources (RS) (secondary sources) are what we after where by subject is "directly" talk about and not merely passing mentioned/part of the article. Sources from homepage, associated with the subject, interview, press releases, user generated content and etc are primary (not independent) and can not be use to demonstrate subject notability. We need at least 3 RS such as from major newspaper.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Faye Treacy (September 2)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by RoySmith were:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

The comment the reviewer left was:
The sources provided need to satisfy be both requirements (1)independent from the subject and (2) are reliable. There are a few reliable sources from newspapers, however, they are interview pieces where by the information/content is from the subject (Treacy) which this would considered "primary source / not independent". Secondary sources are those sources where by other people talk about the subject and not the subject (Treacy) in this case" talk about herself. Secondly, other secondary sources provided where by other people talk about Treacy but she is only passing mentioned/ partly mentioned. Besides the secondary, reliable source requirements, an entertainer/(comedian) need to satisfy at least one of the notability requirements from Wikipedia - see below:
  1. Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions.
  2. Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following.
  3. Has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment.
For a new comedian who has just been noticed in the last few years, it is usually not easy to find the sources and meet the entertainer notability requirements set by Wikipedia for it is WP:TOOSOON as of now for the draft page to be in the main space of Wikipedia. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 15:37, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
