Proposed merge of Platform gap filler into Platform gap

You can't talk about a platform gap filler without talking about the platform gap as well. There's no real reason for the platform gap filler to have its own article, it makes more sense to discuss it in the context of the platform gap article. There's a section in platform gap that really says all there is to be said. This article is just one of those instances where people start adding examples where they live and it turns into a giant directory. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 22:40, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that there seems to be both duplication and gaps in coverage because of the two poorly-coordinated articles. I suggest that the Platform gap filler article be converted into List of platform gap filler systems or similar, as one of the many Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists articles.
