@GPSLeo: Parliamentary diagram was accurate to the colors used by parties at the time, but People Before Profit now uses a red color rather than burgundy which would also clash with the color used by the Labour Party. They sit on opposite sides of the Dáil, and Labour uses a darker red while PBP uses a hot pink. There should be no problems with a colour clash I think. Lough Swilly (talk) 19:24, 3 November 2025 (UTC)

I also would say they should use the color the party used at the time of the election. Also if there are other changes they should be done carefully as those diagrams are often linked to local legends. Therefore I think it is better to upload as new files here. While I'd agree, unfortunately that isn't the colour that is being used in the article, as the party colour metadata itself was altered. The ranges of wolves are shown in a relatively dark greyish brown. The areas where wolves were extinct by 2018 (time of upload of the original map) are shown in orange. The different brightness levels make it easy to distinguish between the areas. People with red-green color blindness also see the yellow component of the orange. The oceans are shown in a delicate light blue. On the continents, areas for which no data has been collected are shown in light gray, which is darker than the oceans, making it clearly distinguishable even for people with color blindness. People with yellow-blue color blindness can also see everything clearly on this map. When the image is converted to grayscale, the orange areas where wolves were exterminated are significantly darker than the areas without data. I have adjusted the colors so that even when the image is converted to grayscale, the fields can still be clearly distinguished. Sciencia58 (talk) 07:35, 4 November 2025 (UTC)

It is still necessary to overwrite the original map from Mariomassone, because it is in use and there are reasons to NOT delete it, although areas with wolves are not automatically green and areas without wolves are not bright red. Sciencia58 (talk) 16:42, 4 November 2025 (UTC)

However, some captions in some articles would then also have to be changed because they contain the words red and green in different languages. In addition, the map is shown in some articles together with the current distribution map, on which the areas where wolves live today are shown in green. Therefore, either these maps with only green can be changed in colour or the red and green must be retained so that they remain comparable. The only-green-map could also be colour-adjusted to the new version. However, I would only do this with Mario's consent. That's why I'd rather not overwrite Mario's map.
