Please explain what needs to be done on the Diamond Diva Princess page for publication. There is sufficient amount of notability and many references have been cited, including many independent of the subject. Others with less notability and references have been approved pages on Wikipedia. Please help with suggestions on how to improve the page for publication.98.177.218.1 (talk) 00:08, 4 June 2019 (UTC)

04:38:19, 4 June 2019 review of draft by Stephane Malhomme
- Stephane Malhomme (talk · contribs) (TB)
- Hello, thanks for reviewing my first (and probably last) contribution. In good faith, I do not understand what "this reads like an essay not an encyclopaedia article" means. Not being funny, I just have 0 idea what that means in this context. An essay? EIoT is growing very quickly but still a pretty new field. I have cited the most established sources I could.
- I presented what I thought was a balanced view of key benefits, but also key limitations of EIoT how is that not "neutral"? Honestly here again, I have no idea what I am supposed to understand by this.
- Very disappointed, I spent large amounts of time preparing this the best I could. What else to say, not sure. You have related articles like this one, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subsea_Internet_of_Things that seem a lot less neutral to me. No?
- I spent TONS of time going through all the training. Maybe Wiki is just not for me. Please reply, if not, frankly, feel free to delete my account. Thanks.
Stephane Malhomme (talk) 04:38, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Stephane Malhomme: Do not be disheartened. I hope you stick around and continue to contribute to Wikipedia. This could be the makings of a good article. You've clearly put a lot of effort into your draft. I think that may actually have worked against you. If you write a lengthy article and then try to retrofit the type of citations that Wikipedia requires that will lead to frustration. It is better if, for each statement you write, you add a citation at the same time that clearly shows where you sourced the information from. Otherwise readers have no way of knowing whether the material is factual. You might have just written it from your own knowledge, which we consider original research. Are you willing to work on it further, under my guidance? Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 16:50, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
talk @Curb Safe Charmer Thank you very much for your reply and sorry for my little tantrum there, I had spent a lot of time on this and was pretty disappointed. Sorry though. Thank you for your feedback it is very helpful. I have had a look around and may have found a few more sources I could include. If not, I figure, I might just need to leave it at that I am really not sure there are that many authoritative media / research I can quote on the topic. The editor got back to me with a great, detailed message, that was very cool, I told him/her that I'd try again, and went back to Google Scholar to find other, solider sources. That one I just found now seems interesting https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.1002/2014EA000044 Thank you very much (really) for your offer to work together. The community has been great. Leave it a bit more with me, I'll try and enhance, and resubmit. That feedback did inform me in more detail as to best practices. Might take you up on the offer if it gets turned down, or just park it until there are enough authoritative links online I guess. Thank you! Stephane Malhomme (talk) 03:14, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Stephane Malhomme: One approach to consider is what we describe as WP:TNT. This means cutting the article back to its bare bones - little more than a couple of paragraphs that define the term, supported by solid references that show that the term is in use by authoritive sources. You can then submit that for review and it will almost certainly be accepted into Wikipedia. You can then incrementally build on the article, likely with contributions from others who are interested in the subject who will click through to it from related articles. Your lengthy draft will remain in the article's history where you can cut and paste parts of it as and when you can find sources. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 07:46, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

- Gill Searle (talk · contribs) (TB)
I have been trying to make a page for F&R Products who are well-known for their water chillers all over the world. F&R Products have a history since 1947 and are one of the oldest bespoke water chiller manufacturers in the United Kingdom. Should I be referencing other Wikipedia pages i.e., Water Chiller or Chillers or Cooling Tower? What should I improve on the page please?
Gill Searle (talk) 10:45, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Gill Searle Most businesses are not appropriate subjects for an encyclopedia article. See WP:BFAQ#COMPANY for more information.
- The draft cites two trade publications and a blog, none of which do anything to establish that the company is notable (suitable for inclusion). Contrast this with the sources for Oliver Typewriter Company, for example. Notice that it cites books, academic journals, magazines, and newspapers. Without such independent, reliable, secondary sources, no amount of editing will make the draft acceptable. --Worldbruce (talk) 12:34, 4 June 2019 (UTC)

- Nadiamoore (talk · contribs) (TB)
Hi there. I'm struggling to address this point left by the previous editor: "Requires more independent reliable sources with sustained coverage of the subject, and that show the organisation has been notable over a significant period of time not only Nov 2017." I have searched for more references that show our longevity, but cannot find any. Articles relate more to the work we've done as an organisation. Can you suggest where I can insert more references on the current piece of writing I've tried to submit? Thank you. Nadiamoore (talk) 12:13, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Nadiamoore. I don't understand your question, but will try to steer you in the right direction. You write that you can't find any more sources. If you need help searching, ask a research librarian. One can often obtain access through a library to archives of academic journals, magazines, and newspapers that one can't search using Google. If, after extending where you search, you still can't find more sources, then the organization isn't a suitable subject for an encyclopedia article (most organizations aren't). I hope that helps. --Worldbruce (talk) 22:38, 7 June 2019 (UTC)

I noticed that a draft page I did, "Draft:Dona Nelson (artist)", is up for submission review, but the page is already up as "Dona Nelson". When I originally created it, I didn't realize that a draft already existed for the subject. When I realized, I worked into that draft and hen moved it to article status. 14:25:06, 4 June 2019 review of draft by Rory Fellowes
- Rory Fellowes (talk · contribs) (TB)
My article about Peregrine Edward Launcelot Fellowes is currently available in something called Everybodywiki Bios & Wiki. I am still finding secondary sources to support the article but wonder where it is now and how I can continue to edit it. Can you help? I've been told it is not sufficiently encyclopedic, but since there are any number of articles about little known actors that do not offer a lot in the way of source references and such (other than the films they made or the songs they sang) I'm not sure where I am going wrong. Also, the two references I do have so far are in red, which do not link to the Wikipedia pages they reference. Should I add <ref>?
Rory Fellowes (talk) 14:25, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Rory Fellowes: His was clearly a life well lived. However that in itself isn't enough to warrant inclusion in Wikipedia. The draft would need to be amended with references that (a) demonstrate that multiple reliable, independent publications have written in depth about him, and (b) to indicate where the statements made about him in the draft were sourced from. Your personal knowledge of him is insufficient - other readers need to be able to establish that what is written about him here is true. Adding those references inline would be best, using ref tags. Regarding your comment that there are lots of other articles that are poorly sourced, please see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS to understand why that reasoning holds little weight here. This re-review has been requested because the issue of my earlier article not being 'notable for inclusion' has been addressed sufficiently, by the inclusion of more notable news links and other credible sources. The profile build on Richard Gorab has been very well worked upon as seen in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Bismark_S._Sosu/sandbox/Richard_Gorab with reference to independently verifiable news outlets and educational platforms
Bismark S. Sosu (talk) 14:38, 4 June 2019 (UTC) Bismark S. Sosu (talk) 14:27, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Bismark S. Sosu: I have reviewed the draft. The references provided do not indicate how Gorab meets the WP:NBIO criteria. The sources you've cited are either associated with Gorab, based on news releases from companies he works for, or are Gorab talking about himself or giving his opinions. This draft is not suitable for Wikipedia. I suggest you give up on it, and that Mr Gorab should use LinkedIn to promote himself instead. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 15:49, 4 June 2019 (UTC)

Fayiz123 (talk) 17:50, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Fayiz123: - you only have 1 section, titled "References", but you don't actually have any references. Additionally, because it's about a living person, any sources you add will need to be inline refs (the little blue numbers by specific facts in other articles). You can find our how to do them in referencing for beginners, or a wider tutorial at the wikipedia adventure tutorial. Nosebagbear (talk) 18:32, 4 June 2019 (UTC)

Please give me advice on what citation I can use.I get the information from the Wikipedia article of that car and I know all the Acura models.
- Ee2mba Good day. Each of the car listed in the article has a page in Wikipedia, that makes it so much easier to find sources. All you have to do is to go to the individual model article and find the source and provide inline citation next to it. It would be better if you would put them in a table format. For referencing (inline citation) see WP:REFB and if the sources are from internet, then use the "horizontal" Template:Cite Web template. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:59, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

- Hi Gingersnap1996. Rejection of the draft is meant to be final, to convey that the subject is not notable (not suitable for inclusion), so no amount of editing will make the topic acceptable. --Worldbruce (talk) 19:04, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
Hi Worldbruce, I mean, is there a way to know why it is not suitable for inclusion? That's that part that is really confusing me, since it doesn't make sense that it was rejected for not being notable enough...

I think this topic is notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. For those living in the south, this news permeated the media for this particular officer was well known and respected, and his death caused a shock to many. He not only died in the line of duty, but he dedicated over 3 decades to serving his country and community. It’s big enough that they are talking about dedicating a building in his name in the city historical city of Savannah and promised that his family will be taken care of for all the years to come.
Kaf2000 (talk) 11:46, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Kaf2000. There is no deadline. Don't rush to create an article about something in the news. Most people in it are not suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia. As an encyclopedia, we can afford to take our time, to wait before creating a new article until the topic's long-term significance is unambiguously established. Reconsider the matter in six months or a year. If you spend the interim editing existing articles, you may develop a different understanding of notability than what you have on your second day of editing. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:03, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

Is it within WP:COI guidelines for an editor with a COI to move a draft into main space after addressing the decline reason submitted by the reviewing editor? I worked on improving the tone of the above draft, however the content refers to independent, reliable, published sources to meet verifiability guidelines and establish notability. I asked for a re-review from the reviewing editor and the AfC help desk, but received no response. Thanks. E-Stylus (talk) 15:44, 5 June 2019 (UTC) E-Stylus (talk) 15:44, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi E-Stylus. No. A paid editor is very strongly discouraged from moving their drafts to article space. It should be left up to a reviewer who does not have a conflict of interest to evaluate whether previously identified problems have been adequately addressed, and assess whether there are other problems. Drafts are often reviewed by a different reviewer each time they are submitted. Resubmitting the draft for review is the correct way to get it examined. Neither reviewers of earlier versions nor this help desk are shortcuts around the AfC reviewing process, which currently has a 15-week backlog. --Worldbruce (talk) 23:48, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info Worldbruce. E-Stylus (talk) 16:54, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- Worldbruce - I was unaware that the "very strongly discouraged" verbiage meant "prohibited". If this is the guideline, I will comply going forward. The draft's declining editor, Theroadislong has moved the article back to draft space. The draft was submitted 3/14/19, declined 5/29/19 and re-submitted from 5/30/19 to 6/7/19. If an additional period of up to 15 weeks is the only option for a re-review, I will wait. Thanks. E-Stylus (talk) 18:36, 8 June 2019 (UTC)

Nateperreault (talk) 17:36, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Nateperreault. References are key to demonstrating notability (suitability for inclusion). The existence of an article does not mean it meets Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or that it is welcome. It may only mean that no one has gotten around to deleting it yet. It is not a good excuse to create similar articles. The essay WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS may help you understand why. I have created a page on Dr Hema sane, which is already published in Marathi language (please refer to https://mr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/हेमा_साने). It's about a great personality who is an academician, Nature lover, Author of various international papers in botany. Most special part about her is she has been living without using electricity for the last 60 years(Please refer to the news articles in draft page). With huge respect, I tried to create a page on such a wonder woman. Wikipedia has many pages about celebrities, but having a page about a silent revolution like her can change many hearts. I submitted the draft page for review three weeks ago. I request assistance for speeding up this review process and suggest any changes if required. World have to learn a lot from her. !!

Thank you for your assistance! I have been trying to get a page published on a Maryland County Executive, the rules of notability have been explained to me which I believe I have an understanding of. He has not held state office so he does not qualify for automatically having a page, so someone who creates a page for him must prove he is notable outside of Anne Arundel County and Maryland. My confusion comes with the fact that other Maryland County Executives who have also not held state office have pages. Marc Elrich and Angela Alsobrooks hold the equivalent level of office as Steuart Pittman, and the sources provided in their pages are sources from their respective counties and the State of Maryland, which I have been told would not qualify to meet the notability standards. I understand if he does not meet the standards, but I don't understand how people of similar notability and qualification have pages unless the standards are not being applied universally. If there is any clarification you can provide or advice to enhance the page I've created in order for it to meet the requirements I would greatly appreciate your assistance.
Jrpmd1221 (talk) 15:22, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Jrpmd1221. Marc Elrich has been nominated for deletion twice. The first time, it was deleted. The second time, it was kept largely because of considerable coverage in The Washington Post and on WTOP. Another factor for some participants in the discussion was the population of Montgomery County, about a million (roughly twice that of Anne Arundel County).
- Angela Alsobrooks has not gone through any formal assessment. If it did, it might be kept because she is the first woman elected to the office, or for reasons similar to those that arose in the case of Elrich. Or it might be deleted. Don't confuse existence with "should exist", or use existence as an excuse to create similar articles. The essay WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS may help you understand why. --Worldbruce (talk) 19:36, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for your response Worldbruce! That information is helpful. Do you know if there is a definition of "considerable coverage" for Wikipedia? The Anne Arundel County Executive has had a lot of his policies covered in The Washington Post and WTOP as well, but my understanding was that I should show a variety of sources, not cite consistent coverage from these sources. Any advice there? Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jrpmd1221 (talk • contribs) 15:49, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Hello! Please tell me what I need to add to the article? Thank you.
Earth0001 (talk) 17:28, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Earth0001
- Hi Earth0001. The draft is in the pool to be reviewed. With the current backlog, you can expect that to happen within the next four months or so. It's likely to be declined for the same reason that an earlier draft on the subject was declined. Novices are commonly advised to cite at least three independent, reliable, secondary sources containing significant coverage of the subject.
- Časoměr is a start, but holocaust.cz does not help demonstrate notability because it is indiscriminate. It aims to document every victim within certain geographic and temporal bounds, including "the stories of quite normal people and families". Inclusion criteria vary among different language versions of Wikipedia. Not everyone meets the English Wikipedia's notability criteria (is a suitable subject for an encyclopedia article). If you want to write about the subject in English, you may wish to consider alternative outlets with different inclusion criteria. --Worldbruce (talk) 23:02, 8 June 2019 (UTC)

- Hi Manstondrive1818. The short answer is that you haven't asked for it to be published. The draft you submitted in 2018 was declined. This year you started a new version, but have not submitted it for review. The draft doesn't look much like a normal Wikipedia article, so before you do anything else, you may want to revise it in accordance with Your first article and the Manual of Style. When you're ready, you can submit it by adding
{{subst:submit}}to the top of the draft and saving it. --Worldbruce (talk) 23:48, 8 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi! I'm trying to build a page for Leeds Discovery Centre because it is a fantastic museum storage facility in Yorkshire, is nationally well-known and is an important part of Leeds' cultural landscape. My first attempt was deleted and I think I've now made the declarations I need to? But I'm not sure. I wondered if someone could have a look at the start of this page and give some positive feedback. Is this the kind of suitable referencing and content that editors would be happy for me to build on? I guess, I'd just like a bit of guidance as I am very new to the whole wiki world. Thanks in advance!

Thank you @Nosebagbear - yes I was trying to edit my own (Draft) article and because I'm relatively new to Wiki, the reviewing script sounded like it might help me but perhap it's not what I thought I needed. Do I need to be granted some sort of permission or perhaps I should just not be using it? Gedgmoss (talk) 17:31, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Gedgmoss. To get the attention of a specific editor, you need to use a notification template, as described in Help:Talk. Unlike some other systems, it doesn't work to simply preface their name with an @ sign.
- The script is a tool that mechanizes some reviewing tasks, but it doesn't generate any feedback for you, all of that comes from the experienced Wikipedians using the script. Because it's easy for inexperienced users to make a big mess with the tool, access to it is restricted to editors with more than 500 edits in article space (you have 15).
- At Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Reviewing instructions you can see the flowchart that reviewers follow when examining drafts. You can use it as a checklist to self-evaluate, thereby making sure the draft is as good as it can be before it reaches a reviewer.
- You've made only sporadic edits over the years. If you would be interested in fixing problems in more articles if you knew where the problems were and what tools were available to help, I can point you in the right direction. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:10, 9 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi,
I am a representative of a club for Danish expats based in Southern California. We try to make information available about Danes who have achieved a certain level of accomplishment in the U.S. or have been the object of attention here in other ways. We do not charge for this service and the work happens entirely on a volunteer basis (which also explains its irregularity). We uploaded the first draft of the page on Dr. Morten Bay last year under a different account, which now appears to be defunct. We understand that it was rejected because it was too much like a profile and not an encyclopedia entry. We did request a detailed bio from Dr. Bay as we do with all members we try to provide information about. The first draft reflected that and the information we found on Dr. Bay's Danish Wikipedia page.
We have now edited the draft to only focus on factual information about Dr. Bay's scholarly work. Please advise if there are any further steps we can take to make the entry compliant with Wikipedia's rules.
Thank you,
Peter Juul

Hi! I wrote a first draft of this article, and it got rejected for not having enough notable sources/linking to the NYVGCC's website as a source. Since then, I've reworked the page to have higher-quality sources. I've also deleted any facts that couldn't be independently verified in a source other than the nonprofit's website.
My question now is: should I do anything else before I resubmit? Am I making other big mistakes that I don't know about?

Why is this topic not notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia when the publication has been studied by news research entities, such as the Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University and Nieman Lab, for academic purposes as well as covered by other media outlets such as WGNO-TV, Biz Orleans, and The Advocate New Orleans. Its inspiration, The Levee, is included in Wikipedia, and since it became defunct and many of its former writers and staff began contributing to Neutral Ground News, it has picked up the mantle and continues in its spirit. Littleeasy (talk) 22:43, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Littleeasy. The draft cites a story in which the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University makes passing mention of Neutral Ground News, but cites nothing that says they or the Nieman Foundation for Journalism has "studied" the publication. The cited coverage by WGNO and the Sun Herald is not significant coverage either. The only independent and reliable piece of substance is Biz New Orleans. Novice editors are commonly advised to cite at least three such sources to demonstrate notability.
- The existence of The New Orleans Levee does not mean that it meets Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. It may only mean that no one has gotten around to deleting it yet. It is not a good excuse to create similar articles. The essay WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS may help you understand why. If you wish to learn from example articles, be sure to use only Wikipedia's best, such as Seara (newspaper), The American Israelite, Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, Golos Truda, Nouvelles Extraordinaires de Divers Endroits, or Washington Blade. If you're interested in The Levee, you might do more good by improving that article before trying to start a new one. --Worldbruce (talk) 03:42, 9 June 2019 (UTC)

I would like this page reviewed again as I think I've made the correct changes in line with Wikipedia's remit. The page refers to an international school of health research, and it comparable to other schools that are published on Wikipedia. The University of Sheffield has a page on the iSchool and The Management School, The School of Health and Related Research is also a university school, with international esteem and high impact in the field of health research. It started at the same time as the York Centre of Reviews and Dissemination - both inform NHS policy and deliver high impact research and teaching. ScHARR is a bigger department and publishes more high impact research. ScHARR also has notable ex staff and alumni.

The reason given was contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia...I am a 20year PGA teaching pro that was trying to publish an informative article to educate people on the importance and vital part of golf instruction which is GOLF TRAINING AIDS. There is little no information on this on wiki. Golf training aids are as important to Golf as a golf club or any other piece of equipment because clubs, balls, putters are useless unless someone knows how to use them which brings me back to my first point which is golf instruction. I tried to write it as general as possible and wasn't selling any particular training aid but presenting facts that golf training aids can accelerate the golf learning process and the should be employed by all golfers...so please elaborate on why this article is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Thank you TroyMPGA (talk) 15:00, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi TroyMPGA. Wikipedia may not be used to advocate for, or "get the word out" about, anything. The draft is not an encyclopedia article summarizing what reliable secondary sources have written on the subject, but an opinion piece encouraging the use of golf training aids. So it is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. If you want to help build an encyclopedia, see Wikipedia:Community portal for ways to participate. --Worldbruce (talk) 02:03, 9 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi, I would just like advice on how this article should be improved. Also, do you think it's reasonable for Michael Jackson to have a "Cultural impact of Michael Jackson" article considering how popular he was and how much impact he had worldwide on music, music videos and dance? 8eatle (talk) 09:35, 9 June 2019 (UTC) 8eatle (talk) 09:35, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
- @8eatle: - unfortunately, as you can see at this top-level discussion, there have been various discussions on whether this exact topic was a legitimate page to have. After an initial no-consensus judgement, the RfC (our top-level discussion) opted for a weak consensus against having such a page. While this may change in the future, this discussion was held less than 3 months ago, so I don't think you'd succeed with it (even though my personal beliefs would be such a page would be beneficial). Nosebagbear (talk) 10:20, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
Okay. Wouldn't you think it would be fair, considering Madonna has one eventhough statistically Michael Jackson is the biggest pop icon. 8eatle (talk) 11:31, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
- @8eatle: - "Fairness" isn't applicable here - it's whether the participants felt it benefited the encyclopedia. However whether it was a similar case to Madonna was actually considered, and most people felt that while there obviously was significant cultural impact, it could be included in his article. It's currently part of this section. If you have additional content it can be added there - it may eventually grow enough that a separate article is split off. It's a featured article under Extended protection, so suggested changes should be put on its talk page. Nosebagbear (talk) 19:43, 9 June 2019 (UTC)

- Hi LuckyhollywoodMahler. The sources cited are nominations; they don't prove he won. Anybody can nominate anyone, so the nominations don't help establish notability. I doubt if they would even be considered reliable sources for facts, only for the opinions of the nominators. You can probably find a reliable source, such as an issue of the magazine, to show that he won. But that won't advance the draft much. Neither the awards nor the awarding body (Wrestling USA Magazine) are well-known. Well-known would be something like a Nobel Prize, a Pulitzer Prize, or a Tony Award. Nor is it clear that the awards are significant. Does anyone report on them other than the magazine that gives them (and is also Mahler's employer)? Novice editors are commonly advised to cite at least three independent, reliable, secondary sources containing significant coverage of the topic. The draft has zero, and little chance of adding any. Finally, your choice of username suggests this may be an autobiography. They are strongly discouraged. Wikipedia is not a place to write about yourself. - Hi Roger Wood. The fair use exception does not apply to drafts. If the draft is accepted (the presence or absence of an image will have no effect on this), then you may add an image if it meets all ten of the Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria. --Worldbruce (talk) 01:32, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Can you please help in pruning this profile so that it satisfies the Wikipedia submission rules? I assure you that gourish singla is a man of eminence.
- Hi Jaspreet007. If everything that is unacceptable were pruned, there would be nothing left. The topic is not notable, so no amount of editing will make it acceptable. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:06, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Need advise on why the article could not pass wikipedia's requirements when its not advocating/ promoting any company but merely talking about an elevator company which is very visible in Delhi and over 10 cities in India. Below are some of the hyperlinks of newspapers & journals who have published on the company for your reference please:

Requesting tips on how i can publish basic information about this company? MoudgilAman (talk) 08:26, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi MoudgilAman. The sources you've offered up are a trade publication and four variations on a press release. None of those do anything to establish notability (suitability for a stand alone encyclopedia article). --Worldbruce (talk) 15:18, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

I need more information on this matter. The academy is based in Dubai and I would like to make the academy information available on wikipedia. Anki 84 (talk) 08:45, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Anki 84. None of the cited sources contain significant coverage of the academy, other than perhaps Diario de Navarra, which I haven't evaluated because it is behind a paywall. If it contains in-depth coverage, the draft would need at least two additional independent, reliable, secondary sources that satisfy WP:CORPDEPTH. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:31, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

- Hi Sagarshah28. The draft is not yet "under review". It has been in the pool to be reviewed since 19 March. More than 425 drafts have been waiting for review longer than this one. The current backlog is approaching 4 months. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:56, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

I wrote an article for a popular Seattle author who reps our queer community well, but you guy's keep rejecting it because you said it's her... but it's me. So, Why?
- Hi Jeff Goodwin2. If you think it was declined becuase it's an autobiography, you are mistaken. It keeps getting declined because it's awful. It makes many of the mistakes commonly made with autobiographies, so whether it literally is one or not, I strongly recommend studying that guideline.
- It's identical to User:Tiffany Desiree/sandbox, which raises all sorts of troubling questions about whether you are in compliance with Wikipedia's account policies, conflict of interst policies, and terms of use regarding paid editing. I've left more information about these issues on your talk page. Once you've dealt with them, you can return to the question of whether anything can be done to salvage the draft. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:46, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- (Personal attack removed) thanks for your bias feedback. It's not awful. Consider learning basic grammar with your run on sentences and 3rd grade diction. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeff Goodwin2 (talk • contribs) 15:19, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- Also, you said, "conflict of interst." It's spelled interest. Am I seriously receiving advice from you about something being "awful?" What a joke.

- Hi Butterflygirl1996. See the reviewer's comment below the big pink box on the draft. Wikipedia already has an article on the subject, Brooke Lynn Hytes, so any development should take place there, not in a draft space parallel. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:14, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

Can someone please explain to me how we need to restructure the verbiage, or how we can successfully create a page for this Cleveland Chef?
ClevelandDante (talk) 17:04, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi ClevelandDante. Rejection of the draft is meant to be final, to convey that the subject is not notable (not suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia), so no amount of editing will make the topic acceptable.
- Please clarify what you mean by "we". The policy on Wikipedia is "one user—one account". Usernames should not be shared by multiple individuals.
- Skimming the draft, I see that it cites The Washington Post and The New York Times. That would usually be a good sign, but neither article verifies the statements where cited, or mentions Boccuzzi. This suggests that you may not understand the point of citing sources. The WPO piece is an independent, reliable, secondary source containing significant coverage of Troy Dupuy. Try to find three similarly high quality sources about Boccuzzi. If you can't, then the reviewer was correct, and the topic is hopeless. --Worldbruce (talk) 17:50, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
Request on 17:08:34, 10 June 2019 for assistance on AfC submission by Sayeyabandeh2019
- Sayeyabandeh2019 (talk · contribs) (TB)
Hello, I am trying to create a Wiki page for someone who has asked me to set it up for them. The name of the page/person is "Saye Yabandeh" she is a reputable award-winning actress, global humanitarian and the Global Ambassador to the Global Citizens Foundation. I am trying to figure out the best way to have her biographical information and lists of awards/film/tv projects presented in a Wikipedia page.
I started by creating an account and submitting an article for creation. It was quickly denied saying that it was advertising materials or something of that sort, but the only information that was initially submitted was Saye Yabandeh's biography with listed resources.
If there is a different way that I need to go about having the page set up, please advise. Her requests have continued to be rejected and we can't seem to figure out how to get a page set up properly.

The article that I submitted for review was declined because it doesn't seem like the subject is worthy of an encyclopedia entry, but the reason I'm trying to publish it is because he's about to announce his candidacy for Governor of New Hampshire. As he hasn't technically announced officially yet, there is no coverage on this, but we wanted to have the start of the article up so that through the soft announcements people can still find info on him.
Thank you.
- @Pumpkinshead11: - politicians have very strict notability requirements. High levels of coverage aren't/wouldn't be sufficient - to demonstrate political notability he'd have to actually win the election. He may warrant an article through his book, if it's received multiple reliable reviews. Take a look at WP:NAUTHOR for details. Nosebagbear (talk) 19:45, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- An additional key note, is that as a biography of a living person, the references need to be inline, not general - that is, they need to support specific details (the little blue numbers) rather than just being a list of URLs at the end. referencing for beginners explains how. Please remember that you'll need multiple, reliable, in-depth & (critically) independent) review sources for the book. Nosebagbear (talk) 19:48, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

I noticed Dr. Jindal was listed on "Outstanding Americans by Choice" award page and should be on the history of Guyana page (maybe, debatable because he just setup the first kidney transplant program there), and Fulbright Scholar distinguished chair page.
