While voting and most discussion should occur on the main RfA page, sometimes discussions stray off-topic or otherwise clutter that page. The RfA talk page serves to unclutter the main RfA page by hosting discussions that are not related to the candidacy.
Please remain calm and civil in discussions on both pages, avoiding personal attacks and harassment. Uninvolved administrators can still fully intervene in RfAs.
Discussions should stay on-topic; consider moving or continuing discussions that are going off-topic elsewhere.
Move discussions not germane to the candidacy here, then link them with {{subst:rfan|dm|name of section header}}, indented to the original vote. Be conservative in using the template; obvious trolls and disruptive participants need not be noticed.
Otherwise, avoid starting discussions here if they would be of interest to RfA participants and can fit on the main RfA page; generally, discussions should begin at the "General comments" section or as an indented reply to a vote.

Indicate the number of people who are currently serving as Administrators each time a Request is announced. Details about active/inactive are not necessary. The total number seems to be proliferating lately. The handful of Oppose emphasizing "experience" have a good point -- it seems like a lot of Requests are being made by relative newbies. Is there really a shortage of Admins? Martindo (talk) 04:25, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose votes count even if 99% of people vote "yes". Why wouldn't they?
@Bringingthewood: Regarding your question about the red-links: Every user can ask for pages in their own user space (including their user page) to be deleted. This has no influence on whether they can vote in discussions. I am trying to understand why you consider the question important. If you are suggesting that Willbb234 and Sportsfan 1234 are the same person because both have asked twice for their user pages to be deleted, this is not the place to do that. And to be clear, I don't see much that would suggest that this was the case.
Just a note. I'm going to stay away.... for now, Josh is a friend and I won't cheapen that. The clowns to the left of me and jokers to the right, (you like that?), just send a message to my talk page. Remember, someone is trying to become an administrator.
