The unjustified deletion of Philip Price's Wikipedia page is a disservice to Wikipedia itself

[edit]

The unjustified deletion of Philip Price's Wikipedia page and hiding of information about him is a disservice to not only Wikipedia itself as a source of information, but to humanity in general. Prior to deletion, Philip's Wikipedia page was one of the best sources of detailed personal information on him, which many thousands of people were referencing; more than any other person named "Philip Price," which still have Wikipedia articles, such as Philip Price the golfer.

We can see this by referencing Google Trends, where very specific searches for "Philip Price Alternate Reality" and "Philip Price golf" reveal that there is 500% peak interest in Philip Price the programmer over Philip Price the golfer who does still have a personal Wikipedia page. This is particularly telling if you're aware that Philip Price's traditional media presence is extremely low due to how private he is, while Philip Price the golfer has significant traditional media coverage.

People want to know about Philip Price the programmer and Wikipedia used to be one of the top sources until the pointless deletion of his personal article. The deletion of his article only made Wikipedia less of a useful source of information for someone who is a legendary coder for both games and advanced technologies like the B2 stealth bomber.Sempi (talk) 13:26, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
