Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Denmark

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Denmark. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion
Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
  1. Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
  2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Denmark|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
Removing a closed AfD discussion
Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
Other types of discussions
You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Denmark. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
Further information
For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

This list is also part of the larger list of deletion debates related to Europe.

Lack of significant coverage; could not find more sources with significant coverage to demonstrate the actor's notability. Go D. Usopp (talk) 05:23, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

*Keep. See WP:NACTOR ["the person has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions; or The person has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment.") and the page in Danish please, to check the said roles--Artus Sauerfog Dark-Eon (talk) 09:35, 19 June 2025 (UTC)WP:SOCKSTRIKE Left guide (talk) 05:44, 11 July 2025 (UTC) .[reply]

  • Keep The book Danske filmskuespillere: 525 portrætter has a 5 para bio about him (pp 139-140) [2]. As Oaktree b noted, there are many current news stories about him, eg "Kristian Halken has been called the master of supporting roles. One year he won a Reumert for four supporting roles, and it is difficult to find a weak Halken performance. He is now 70 years old. Has Kristian Halken ever actually been bad on a theater stage?" [3]. This article Kristian Halken fra Sommerdahl: Her er hans kendte søn [4] has info about his wife and his son, also an actor. There is plenty of coverage to meet WP:GNG, and multiple roles in films, tv and on stage to meet WP:NACTOR. RebeccaGreen (talk) 15:16, 29 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Adding to the Politiken source provided above by RebeccaGreen, I'm finding some decent coverage of Halken in a Danish newspaper of record (Berlingske) - two long interviews (which while WP:IV applies, both have enough biographical content in them to contribute to notability), one in 2013 and one in 2009. There's another one from 2012 as part of their "My perfect Saturday" series, but this is only him talking about himself. Also coverage in another national source of his character being written out of "Badehotellet" and his reaction, as well as coverage in same about him and his wife appearing in a show together, and a short article (partially interview) from same again. Finally, while not de facto contributing to notability, it's worth noting that a search for site:berlingske.dk "kristian halken" yields hundreds of hits, indicating that he is indeed a notable figure in Denmark. ser! • Keep. Strong and easy satifcation of WP:ANYBIO per lex.dk, which has superceded the Store danske eencyclopedia. Geschichte (talk) 19:23, 11 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
