  Agree, seems better to just undelete the template locally than import. I imagine it would be useful for any cases where Commons doesn't want it there, but we want to use it on enwiki, especially given Somalia apparently has no existing enforceable copyright law according to the template, so there's likely at least a non-zero chance that an image could run afoul of Commons' PRP, but still be just fine here.   Not an importuploader, though I'm fairly more keen on importing pages to userspace for translation than others usually are (my view is that importing should not be considered an unusual procedure, and it should be fairly normalized).   I think what xaosflux is referring to is that the version in your sandbox is completely unformatted, and would not be ready to be moved to the main namespace. The prose itself in the translated version also needs work, and there are no references attached. That said, it's not beyond fixing with some basic work, and I don't see any problems with importing the dewiki revisions once the sandbox draft is ready for a move to mainspace. I am the author of the German language article, and I do not know what you are talking about in regards to the Open Knowledge Association. Further, this is indeed not the German language Wikipedia and you do not have to yield to anything. I am asking for a favour because I feel that all the hard work I put into this article is not valued by the way it was translated and imported, both slapdash. @Graham87: This is somewhat more of a difference in opinion than based on any solid rule, but I don't necessarily see the harm in this. The user requesting it has 88.8% authorship of the German Wikipedia version of the article, and while the attribution is sufficient with a link simply left in the history, I don't see any harm in moving the revisions across. There's deleted history on the English Wikipedia at IgnoreAllRulesDebate (which I can access via the 2003 database dumps), but there's no point in retrieving it because what we have now is a far better historical record ... but I should've noticed it and worked on it much earlier.
