Hello. I watching the recent changes list to patrol changes who are good or bad. If I find a vandal, I think to revert the changes, warn the vandal, and if the vandal makes many bad changes, I will quickly block the user from editing instead of warning another admin. I have also helped the wiki by reverting vandalism with my tool, Twinkle, I use to revert vandalism. Psl85 Talk 07:17, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[change source]- My comments:
- Two previous requests to be an admin in the last week, both with WP:SNOW closures within a day of being opened, and nothing seems to have changed. On the first request, the user said "Please stop this discussion now, I'll try again when I are experienced." Bad grammar aside, it is now only one week later. That wouldn't be long enough to get a meaningful amount of additional experience even if a user were making all good contributions.
- User doesn't have a good grasp of simplewiki procedures. He put his RfAs on his talk page (in fact, he seems to talk to himself on his own talk page quite a bit), and makes requests on his talk page instead of somewhere where you might expect someone else to see them.
- User seems to think that rights such as adminship, rollback, etc. are achievements that can be unlocked when certain milestones are passed. (See User:Psl85#Higher permissions for specifics.) I fear that this means we will continue to see repeated requests for rights when the user feels he has completed some kind of checklist.
- Finally, I believe that people with rights on simplewiki need to have solid English skills, so that they can accurately recognize vandalism and communicate clearly with others. Not only does this user not have good English skills, he has identified at least one change as vandalism that was a good change. So far he has not responded to the reverted editor's request for an explanation.

- Speedy Close per WP:SNOW, and a warning about creating too many of these. To add onto Auntof6's nice list of problems, there were also a few issues with determining whether an article should be CSD'd or not. He has given himself two barnstars (he only has two). Also, he's indeffed on en. Vermont | reply here 10:26, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[change source]- Note: User has been globally blocked. I noticed their password on their user page, and contacted a steward. Vermont | reply here 10:52, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks, Vermont. We certainly wouldn't want to make him an admin after he did something like that. I'm sure a 'crat will close this soon. --Auntof6 (talk) 11:04, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- I see a possible issue in the future, as in order for him to edit again (according to the stew I talked with), he would need to create another account. Judging from his CU block on en-wiki, he isn't too good at keeping those activities constructive. Vermont | reply here 11:09, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

- This user has just been globally locked, because "Compromised account; user have been put password in public space". We can't even consider making him an admin while this is in effect. --Auntof6 (talk) 10:55, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
