I have done a bit of reverting (not that many because Simple English Wikipedia is not vandalised as often) and have done a lot of stub tag adding. I participate in WP:DYK and have had one successful nomination. In the future, I will be more active in WP:DYK, do more reverting, and help out in other places (such as nominating good/featured articles). Also, I will use WP:VIP more often.
Note: I'm dropping out because of Razorflame's comments. He makes some important comments that I realize show that I am not yet ready for the admin flag.
Candidate's acceptance: self-nomination

[change source]Oppose Sorry, but after looking through your changes that you have made, I have found that you have some things going against you. First off, you don't have very many edits (around 600 or so that I have counted), and a good portion of those edits were done to namespaces other than the Mainspace space, so that shows that you haven't done much editing to articles. Furthermore, when looking through your changes, I noticed that you haven't made very many articles. I also noticed that you have very little participation in RFD's and not very many articles marked for quick deletion, which means you would have little use for the delete tool. You also haven't done much vandalism reversions. I counted maybe 35-50 vandalism reverts, and not even half as many warnings and only a few ViP reports, which goes to show that you have little need for the block tool, but none of these things is what I am concerned about. I am concerned about giving you the mop because of 2 things: Low activity and not enough experience. You just joined Simple Wikipedia 2 months ago. I usually like to see users who are applying for the mop to wait at least 3 months before making an RfA, and that is with all of the above.
- I would like to see a couple of things from you before I would support you for the sysop flag. First, I would like to see you making more edits to the Mainspace, meaning making more edits to articles and making new articles. Second, I would like to see more vandalism fighting, meaning more warnings (correctly given) and more recent change patrolling. Thirdly, I would like to see your edit count up a couple hundred edits (but this isn't that big of a deal) and I would also like to see more participation in Wikipedia:RFD and Wikipedia:DYK (DYK not really that big of a deal). Another thing that you could do is step up your prescence here on Simple Wikipedia because I don't think that you have that much of a precense on here. Finally, I would like to see you wait at least a couple more months before you apply for the flag again.
- All of these things equals an oppose for now. I am sorry about this, but you have things that need fixing before I can support you. I hope to support you sometime in the future! Razorflame 04:18, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose based on interactions and observations of the user on both here and en.wiki. I don't think the user has the maturity necessary for adminship, Either way (talk) 04:22, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Weak oppose - Your first edit on this project started on November 4. You only have a mere 480+ edits, which is below than the 1000-edit mark consensus for adminship. I think it is obvious that you have started your RFA a bit early as you will need more experience for sysophood. If you read Razorflame's review, he has pinpointed out some of the issues you may want to look at before running for adminship. Also simply reverting vandalism is not the only reason for adminship. You will need to understand how to administer block or bans, what the deletion policy is, how to handle disputes, etc. Admins are expected to know what these policies are. --§ Snake311 (I'm Not Okay!) 04:27, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose – "In the future, I will be more active in WP:DYK, do more reverting, and help out in other places (such as nominating good/featured articles). Also, I will use WP:VIP more often." — You can do all that as a non-admin. You don't need to be an administrator to be more active in places. I'm also opposing per above. — RyanCross (talk) 04:28, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Weak oppose - You've only done good stuff here, but you're a bit too new. Keep editing here for a few months and get more active in more areas as they've said above, then you'll pass next time you nominate yourself! Other than that, I'd support. - Æåm Fætsøn /ˈaɪæm ˈfætsən/ 08:15, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
