- This file is not "passed off as the user's own work" - I resent your suggestion that the image is plagiarised. It is quite clearly a Google Earth image, with all identifying marks left intact, and its description states that it shows: "Two sites of the Torrens Island Internment Camp overlaid on a Google Earth image". I have taken a Google Earth image, which I understood to be in the public domain for uses of this kind, acknowledged the source transparently and in good faith, blurred the image slightly and then overlaid my own art work. If there is a problem with that, then please explain what it is, and what needs to be done. I am prepared to edit the image, or if necessary to use another base plan, but I would like a sensible explanation, not bot gabble. Peter Bell (talk) 13:38, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Google Maps and Earth images are copyrighted; this and the one above will be deleted. Satellite images from NASA are public domain. Chick Bowen 03:27, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- File:Namal Rajapaksa.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- This looks like a professional, publicity photo. Unlikely to be Hasantha2222's own work. obi2canibetalk contr 16:59, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Still but you cannot find this entire image out of Wikipedia,I checked it several times MediaJet (talk) 17:30, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- You should try a bit harder: LNW 23 August 2010; LNW 4 April 2011; LNW 21 April 2011.--obi2canibetalk contr 19:59, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
But still you cannot find this ENTIRE IMAGE out of Wiki, only a portion of this image (cropped version) can be found in LankaNewsWeb,Normally Google Image Crawler does not crawl much in Facebook,Hoping that the source could be FB,I even crawled it-BUT still NO MediaJet (talk) 06:35, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- This suggests that the original has been removed but LankaNewsWeb (and Hasantha2222) must have downloaded it before it was removed. I suspect the original image was on website related to his election campaign.--obi2canibetalk contr 21:46, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Even I thought so,but no way to prove it.
@ Hasantha2222 Please clarify this,Wikipedia is not a place to host copyrighted material unless under fair-use grounds MediaJet (talk) 13:37, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
