Non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in Steven Universe: The Movie#Music. Non-free album cover art is generally allowed to be used for primary identification purposes in stand-alone articles about albums, but its use in other articles is generally only allowed when the cover art itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note-3 and the context for non-free use required by WP:NFCC#8 is evident. There is no such commentary for this particular album cover anywhere in the article, and the use of soundtrack album cover art in articles about films or TV programs is generally not allowed for this reason as explained in WP:FILMSCORE and MOS:TVPRODUCTION.

This file was originally prodded for deletion by me for the same reasons here in August 2020, but was deprodded with this edit by Aspects. A WP:SPLIT discussion was started shortly thereafter by Aspects at Talk:Steven Universe: The Movie#Split soundtrack into its own article but it's been almost a year and nothing seems ot have been involved. Only a few editors have commented and there doesn't appear to be a clear consensus in favor of the split.

A query about the split and the file's use was made here back in May 2021, but no response was received. If the a new stand-alone article is going to be created for this album, then the file's non-free use in that article would almost certainly be fine; however, the current usage is not NFCCP compliant which means the file should be deleted. If at some later date, the soundtrack article ends up being created, the file probably could be WP:REFUNDed with a new non-free use rationale provided for the soundtrack's album. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:13, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - While I think the album is notable enough to have its own article, the split discussion could not reach a consensus, and if the album is does not have its own article, then it does not pass WP:NFCC in the film article.
