The result of the discussion was: relicense File:Ralph Northam yearbook page with Klan robe and blackface.png as non-free and delete File:GovernorRalphNorthamMDYearbookpicture.jpg. — JJMC89 (T·C) 04:34, 17 February 2019 (UTC)

Tagged as PD by virtue of being published without a copyright notice. Can we get some evidence that it was published without a notice, please? Either someone finding a full copy of the yearbook online or going to the EVMS library to see it for themselves? (Unless this can be proven to be public domain, I believe we should retag it as fair use. It clearly passes our significance requirement.) --B (talk) 13:06, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- I have no idea if it is PD or not. That's why I uploaded it as fair use. Maybe User:Illegitimate Barrister knows? Also, I'm a bit unclear on notifying people; was that enough to notify that user? Adoring nanny (talk) 02:31, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
- Adding File:GovernorRalphNorthamMDYearbookpicture.jpg as it's the same image, just cropped less. --AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 01:44, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
- Delete one and relicense as non-free the other unless verifiable evidence confirms that the files are in the public domain. The photo definitely qualifies under the WP:NFC as an object of sourced commentary. --AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 01:49, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

too low in quality to be of any encyclopedic use Jon Kolbert (talk) 22:12, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- Delete, orphaned with no obvious value. Salavat (talk) 23:53, 7 February 2019 (UTC)
- Retain, under what legalistic rationale I'm not expert enough to suggest, but clearly this is a politically important image, which readers need to see.Lobsterthermidor (talk) 00:36, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
- Delete Orphaned and low resolution, possibly with c:COM:TOYS issues as well. --AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 00:46, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
