- No doubt there is duplication, but there is clear evidence that the content was here first. It was placed very soon after the article's creation, and the content has subsequently evolved. The external site resembles that later text. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:25, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

- I have examined the last revision before the copyvio template was placed and can see no copyvios. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 21:15, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- In fact the web document is public domain as a State of Alaska document, one of the nominators has left this message on my talk page] asking for the copyvio template to be removed, which I have boldly done. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 22:14, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- Documents of the State of Alaska are not public domain. Both their Department of Transportation and their Department of Fish and Game, for instance, clearly reserve copyright. As you note at the article's talk page, though, laws are copyright exempt under US federal law, even in states that do claim copyright to their works. I'm a bit unclear how much of the summary document cited as the source is drawn from legislation, which would be exempt, and how much is explication, which would not. But while there is some close following, I don't see extensive duplication, and the examples at the talk page do not seem to be extensive. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:51, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
