The result was no consensus. Various policy-based arguments are advanced. The nominator's argument is clear and well-supported by our policies concerning notability and reliable sources. Theoldsparkle's argument is clear and well-supported by WP:ATD and WP:PRESERVE. There is a tension between WP:N and WP:PRESERVE, which is traditionally resolved by selectively merging content which is sourced but not particularly notable into a parent article, and this would probably be the outcome most closely based on policy, but I cannot pretend there is really a consensus to do that, since it is only really proposed by Arxiloxos; Theoldsparkle proposes it only in the alternative. It is tempting to relist this debate again for further input, but having due regard for the third and fourth paragraphs of WP:RELIST, there is nothing to justify such an action.

Since this was a poorly-attended debate that did not reach a consensus, this close must be with no prejudice against speedy renomination but I would suggest that a discussion about the merge should take place on the article talk page first. NAC—S Marshall T/C 12:40, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
