They are a continuation of another club, Calais RUFC. SportsLover1967 (talk) 11:06, 2 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

None of these are valid reasons to delete an article and the marble race comment is just absurd. Being a phoenix club does not mean that it is non-notable. In fact, Phoenix club (sports) has a long list of well over 100 phoenix clubs that are notable enough for their own article. For this article to be deleted, you would need to explain why the topic does not meet WP:GNG. In any case, I would push for a keep outcome. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 17:53, 3 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep See local media talking about "La naissance du nouveau grand club de Calais" "The birth of the new big club of Calais" [1]. This new club was a fusion between two smaller clubs, neither was Calais RUFC, who folded six years before. Having the same colours is a non-sequitur, and there can't possibly be the same fans to a man. I'm not sure if this nomination is serious, the user's page looks like a parody of a terminally online Generation Z football fan making rude nicknames for clubs he doesn't like, and this thing about running a marble race to decide the fate of the page is bizarre.
