A baseball player, not even close to being notable.WisconsinBoyClevelandRocks228844 (talk) 03:34, 21 August 2013 (UTC) My bad, I need to read it properly next time; my fault. WisconsinBoyClevelandRocks228844 (talk) 13:51, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong keep. This nomination is ridiculous for numerous reasons, but the main one is that Kevin Barker easily passes WP:NBASEBALL: "Have appeared in at least one game in any one of the following active major leagues: Major League Baseball, Nippon Professional Baseball, Korea Baseball Organization, Chinese Professional Baseball League or any other top-level national league (active or defunct)." He played in over 100 MLB games! Jrcla2 (talk) 13:27, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment If you're going to nominate an article for deletion at least do it properly. Jrcla2 (talk) 13:28, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep. Clearly meets WP:NBASEBALL guidelines....William 13:38, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong Keep. Nominator gives no reason for why he considers this person to not be notable... other than he is a baseball player. Nominators dislike for baseball is no reason. This person easily passes WP:NBASEBALL as he played almost 10 years in the Majors. Spanneraol (talk) 13:40, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment Will the reviewing admin please just close this asap? This is going to be a massive WP:SNOW keep and the nomination to begin with was wrong. This would be an uncontroversial close. Jrcla2 (talk) 13:43, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm possibly even thinking about redirecting it to another article. WisconsinBoyClevelandRocks228844 (talk) 13:51, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- What redirect Barker's article to somewhere else? If you did that, it might be considered vandalism because you have been notified not once but three times above that the article meets notability criteria....William 13:54, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- What?? That makes no sense. Redirect a notable, article-worthy baseball player to what other article? Jrcla2 (talk) 13:55, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Redirect to List of Toronto Blue Jays players of course. If you are going to disagree, some better improve the article. WisconsinBoyClevelandRocks228844 (talk) 14:07, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- That's a redirect article itself (at least get the target article correct before proclaiming where it'd be clearly redirected to). Also, redirecting a notable baseball player to a list article is vandalism, as User:WilliamJE said. Jrcla2 (talk) 14:10, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- "If you are going to disagree, some better improve the article." = WP:IDONTLIKEIT...essentially the entire reason for this nomination. It's not a "pretty" article and so it must be non-notable! Jrcla2 (talk) 14:16, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- (edit conflict) Speedy keep Meets WP:NBASEBALL. Plenty of sources out there to satisfy WP:GNG, as there are for all MLB players, hence why playing even one game in MLB satisfies NBASEBALL. – Muboshgu (talk) 14:18, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
