This article really fails notability after doing WP:BEFORE. Most of the content at reception were just reviews, rankings, and passing mentions. For example that Destructoid source calls Goenitz a "dickhead" only when he was announced at the new game is not a SIGCOV. There were no discussion about him. This is an example of passing mentions or can be considered as trivial. Additionally, the article was poorly reviewed by the reviewer but this has no bearing at AfD anyway. I understand that the author worked hard at this article, but this is not notable. 🍕BP!🍕 (🔔) 12:48, 16 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Goeniko has some coverage, but that falls more into Midnight Bliss's reception (and possibly M.U.G.E.N) than anything related to Goenitz himself. A WP:BEFORE didn't turn up anything either.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 12:59, 16 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment - I presumed the nominator did his due diligence for notability before nominating this article for a GAN, and I believed my responsibility was to check the article's information against the sources he cited in the article to check the WP:V criterion of WP:GACR.
